Bar staff were quick and attentive and got served with speed; they had quite a packed bar but, had catered for this and had ample staff on. For lunch I had a steak salad which was delicious and full of flavour, all the ingredients were so fresh my only negative was it was a bit small for a main which was a shame. The beef was cooked perfectly and was of a good standard. The waiters were there within a second if you wanted them but without actually noticing them at all! Poof and they appeared! The whole decor and feel of the place is elegant and tasteful whilst being spacious. Each section had a slightly different feel to it. You can see some large groups celebrating, some families, some couple dining, and none were out of place. The car park also doesn't have a time limit on it which is great as I decided to leave my car there and it wasn't a problem so that was good. All round very enjoyable and will most definitely go back.

There is plenty of seating, the vibe is casual and chilled, and the food is good. My friends and I can vouch for the Mezze Platter, the Niciose, the seafood linguini, the blade of beef and the kid's margherita pizza (though next time I will order the pizza with some fresh tomatoes, and peppers to get some extra veggies into my kid). Friendly, not pushy service. Good selection of drinks. Will definitely be back :)

Because of this, there's a great sense of community going on there, but new faces are always welcomed here too. I used to gig here in my younger years as mick and jackie had always been into music and promoting the local music scene. Quiz nights are always great fun and the service there is very quick. A really great place to go to and I think it caters for people who don't exactly feel accustom to gastro pub vibe. It's a very honest place with nice friendly people. Love it to bits It's not very expensive either, one of the cheapest in town

I'll explain why and try to be concise. The cuisine is exceptional. There's a good selection of quality drinks. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming -- the sort of place where complete strangers tend to strike-up conversation. The location is perfect, overlooking the Village Green, with a big beer garden behind, and a vast playing field behind that. It's a lovely village, nestled in the gently-undulating farming landscape of rural north-east Herts -- no wonder Braughing was recently awarded the prestigious "Village of the Year" accolade. The pub's menu always includes the best of local produce, from locally-reared beef to local pork sausages, alongside popular country pub dishes. (Braughing village is famous for, among other things, the delicious local sausages, and this is a good place to sample them.) Did I mention the pies? A different pie every day it seems, and you won't find better pies than these. I don't make a statement like that lightly.
