This place is super clean the tables are in good shape and nice. Most of the sticks are even in great shape and there's no smoking here. Normal play is five dollars per person Per hour. I am usually pretty selective about my five stars. i have to say, we walked into this place and it's unassuming, you can tell where the money is going, and the atmosphere is about as chill and friendly as you can get without becoming obnoxious. I'm not going to parrot all of the other rave reviews except to say that the tables are the cleanest and most straight tables I have ever played on. There is no smoking which, me being new to the area and not used to seeing indoor smoking, should have been a matter of course but in comparison to the other pool halls, is an amazing respite. I've been in a few times and got Pam for a server, She is cold, unfriendly and acts like its a hassle to serve people. Decided to visit on a Saturday at 6:00 pm. My date and I walked in past a barmaid and what seemed to be 3 older guys one of which was telling a story to her. She proceeded to ignore our presence for more than 5 min. She seemed to possibly want to attempt to but rinsed a glass out and went back to lending an ear. After waiting and being ignored we decided this was not a place we would ever come back to. Walked out past and still no response. This is a semi-serious pool joint, supporting casual, league, and serious play. It is clean and safe. The competition is not the best in the area but you can get a good game. The table closest to the entrance is the one to play your finest game. It is double shimmed, rolls perfectly straight and fast, and no ball will ever drop if it so much as touches a rail. If you bring your A game to this table, you will dominate. I still remember winning a league playoff match on this table. We only used it for the key matches and that home table advantage was key! read more

I enjoyed my time there. I was practicing alone and got two offers for some competition. Patrons and employees were friendly and helpful. If only there was one pool hall in Pinellas that DID NOT permit smoking, I'd go there all the time. Because it's a pool hall, does not preclude it's a place to smoke. There are many pool halls in the country that do not permit smoking and it's a pleasure to play there. read more

I have had the pleasure of playing at The Corner Pocket. I didn't know what to think as I was walking through the door. I was greeted by a woman who worked there. I asked her for a rack of balls and then how much was pool. She replied how long do you plan on playing. I said a few hours then she said 5 dollars. Then she went on to tell me the specials 5 dollars for all day until 7pm 25 dollars for everyday for a month and something like 90 for all day and night for a month. I couldn't believe my ears I love playing pool and for what I pay to play other places in a week I can play anytime day or night for a month there. This is a no brainer for me now about the tables. So far I have noticed table 1 get the most play a little tighter then some of the other ones. Table 2 is a monster pockets are around 4 inches 4.25 maybe you can't even get 2 balls in the start of the pocket. Table 10 is almost as tight as 2 but just a shade bigger. The tables are kept up well the place is clean and the employees walk around and serve you unlike most of the places in the area. All in all this is a nice place to play and for the value well there is no other place. This is just my 2 cents check it out and find out yourself.
