Heading to the Corn Crib to catch a Cornbelters game isn't a bad way to spend a summer evening. I've been here a couple times as a social activity whilst attending a professional development event. It's good for that sort of thing because you can mingle but also go take a seat and enjoy the game if you like. I really enjoyed it here because it's a relaxing evening, seats are good, and there's a little hilly lawn that people can go sit in to the far left of the left field seats (usually kids). Prices aren't bad for concessions. You won't be seeing MLB-related teams here; the Corn Crib belongs to Heartland Community College and hosts collegiate summer teams. We made our first visit to The Corn Crib to see the Cornbelters in their opening Friday game. Fireworks on Fridays all summer after the game! Parking was a bit chaotic --prepare for a long wait along Raab Rd. as you get into the lot. Somehow, once in and paying the $2, it was a quick zip to a spot. I wonder if they might find a way to streamline this in the future. Getting in and getting seated is a breeze. Stadium is new so everything is very nice. Prices are fair enough, staff mostly volunteers I believe, and a decent enough selection of food and drink for a ballpark. They may still be getting their stride, but it's a good facility, a great sport to have in town, and well worth several summer visits. My only word of caution is for anyone unfamiliar with the farm leagues --they seem to play at about half the pace of the majors. You may be in for a long night --if anything more bang for the buck (yawn) right? read more

I went to two baseball games with my son and I found the facility to be great for viewing the game. The parking situation is easy in and easy out and it only cost $2.00. The tickets were affordable and they had a lot of fun activities for children to participate. The competitive play was enjoyable to watch. The food was pretty good for ballpark food, the price for a hotdog was $4.00 and a hamburger was $5.00. I would recommend the corn crib to see a game. read more

Was a fun game to see. Had a really good time. The only things I would bring up as a negative. Are that the beer seemed to be pretty warm on a hot summer day you pretty much want cold beer guys. And the prizes for the second prize called was a pizza and an adidas shirt with no logo or nothing. Sorry but I thought I went to a corn belters game and not the adidas outlet other than that. Is always fun and I can tell things have being change. Property is clean and a very friendly staff. The food at Cafe was great and hot and all staff was very friendly specially Hector. I 2nd Meghan's reviews....LONG night. My husband's company has a suite, which is very nice. The seating looks like there isn't a bad seat in the house and they have lawn seating, which looks like it would be fun for kids. Why 4 stars? WELL, parking is not a treat. We walked 15 minutes from the lot to the entrance, through a field. Granted, the field was well mowed and easy to navigate, but we took the shuttle back at night, due to NO LIGHT. The concessions are fine, but as is the case everywhere like this, pricey. We had Rosati's pizza and it was good. I was happy they were serving local. PLUS, they serve Pepsi products....double yippe. Bathrooms, albeit clean, were STUFFY, but the air may have just been on the fritz. We went opening game, being the FIRST time they opened the location, so I will cut them some slack. read more

Good place to watch baseball with friends and family. Nice to have something to do in this town. The down side... The food is awful. I compare it to a poorly run convenient store, hot dogs had stale buns and hot dog was warm, not hot. Polish sausage was more of a hot dog, no peppers or onions given with like a polish should have. Ordered "Moes" chips and cheese, expected Moes famous queso with their crispy white corn chips. Received stale day old chips room temperature, not even in a warmer, and processed canned generic nacho cheese sauce. The fries, they were probably good when they were first cooked, but were then placed in cups and under a heat lamp for who knows how long. Ours were cold and lacked any crisp freshly cooked desirability. Needless to say, this is not "good" ballpark food. Ownership needs to look into creating fan favorites that people will come to games with empty stomachs looking for great food to fill their bellies and spend good money to do so. My advice to you! Eat somewhere else before you come, come for the game and cheap beer. Forget the food, it is everything short of adequate. read more

My wife and I have been to a few games this year. Maybe 3 or 4. You can tell they are definitely working out some of the kinks still. Over all the experience is still pretty cool though. People love baseball, and this gives people the chance to see it live, with out the travel.The tickets are cheap, but the food and drinks can be a little pricey. There is one place where the food and drinks are cheaper, but no one really knows about it, unless you go to the other side of the stadium. (It's near the bounce house on the 3rd base side) I agree that there are no bad seats.....we've sat in the most expensive seats, and we sat in the bleachers. 3 stars until they work out some kinks......(parking, customer service, etc....) Definitely more fun when you bring kids! read more
