Coming to Cornwall and walking past bakery after bakery of pastries and cakes as a vegan can be super depressing because even regular vegetarian pastries almost always contain egg or dairy, but not this place!!! Their vegetarian pastie is also suitable for vegans!!! (the staff are knowledgeable, but it also specifies this on the sign) I was so excited at being able to eat a pastry, I took mine right down to the seafront to eat only for a seagull to flap around my head and steal it *tries not to cry as everyone around me laughs* was extremely heart-breaking... But no matter I marched straight back to buy a replacement, explaining to the staff that no I hadn't just eaten a giant pastie and wanted a second (I wish) we all laughed and I continued to cry on the inside, but my second pastie definitely hit the spot and made me forget all about the thieving seagulls! We got 4 large and 1 medium pasty and a load of drinks for under £20 which I thought was good value for money. They were packed full of big chunks of steak and veg and really ticked all the boxes. Place could do with a little more seating outside but the weather was fairly pleasant so we were able to sit on the beach.
