I will say that when I texted Carly a photo, she confirmed that was not her intention and offered to try to correct the error. I do appreciate this. I went back in and she was able to "even" it out as best she could given the condition. It wasn't ideal, but I get it. Mistakes happen. She gave me a cost estimate at the consultation which i am really grateful for because I've experienced "sticker shock " before at hair appointments , expecting to pay one thing and getting a much higher bill at the end of the service . I will say that the prices listed on the website are very much " starting prices " . My hair service ended up being a corrective color and did take several hours , however Carly explained to me that i will be able to go for several months in between my highlighting services so in my opinion, it was well worth the money and time ! This salon is located in a community grooming space so you will enter the building (across from LifeTime Fitness in Plantation Point) and then search for her studio. It's a small, intimate space that is perfect for privacy. She only does one head at a time which I really appreciate. She is always timely and professional and the space is lovely. I've never had to wait. Marissa's appointments are appropriately spaced so you will not have to wait. I have locs now so I go to another stylist for that. Unfortunately, I left needing a new stylist--and with significantly more hair cut off than I requested--because it wasn't cut straight the first time. I asked for it to be evened out, but it was overcorrected, and one side ended up even shorter than the other. I will now need even more cut off to have it fixed. I don't ask for layers, bangs, or anything complicated--just a straight, even trim. Yet my hair is still uneven by almost an inch. While I understand that hair grows back, this setback means I now have to wait even longer to donate it. I'm very upset.
