She could only sit in the dog friendly area that only had bar stools. We quickly explained that it is unlawful under Equality legislation to treat someone with disabilities less favourably because of their disability, or because they have a Guide or assistance Dog with them. But sadly, it quickly became obvious that my wife was not going to be treated with the respect and dignity she deserves, and the atmosphere was no longer conducive to enjoying a meal, so we left. He has since spoken with the Guide Dogs for the Blind Engagement Officer, and been informed of what he should have done, but no apology to my wife was ever forthcoming, which would have cost him nothing! I just want my wife to be treated like a human being! Each (illegal) "you can't sit here, sit over there" is a crushing, confidence shattering rejection.

They also sell home made quiches, but be quick, they sell out fast. There is a small cafe inside the shop, quite a feat considering its overall size. You can therefore stock up on some ham and cheese, and then sit down for a cup of tea and cake, or a pasty if you are really hungry! The prices are very good, and you can find bargains compared to the larger supermarkets.
