I don't get it as this guy literally has a mini empire in Padstow, cafes, fish n chip sit it and take away, a cookery school, a coffee bar, a fish bar. There's nowt to stop him firing out tasty pasties by the score. So I thought no thanks matey if you can't be bothered then I'll not bother either. I did buy two bottles of beer labelled with Chalky his now deceased pooch but here again top dollar at £3.5 each and no discount for buying 6 or 12. There were lots of jars and tinned food too but least effort from Rick so no thanks chum I'll stick with M&S. it's some comfort to know he won't miss my trade.

There was a sign on the door saying they were being hosted by Rick's deli We were a little disappointed when there turned out to be no cooked food available - fish fried in beef dipping sounded exactly what we needed as a reward for our exertions. One of the cashiers was kind enough to recommend another place in town for fish and chips As a foodie, I was never going to leave without a browse round the deli although the lack of access to refrigeration meant we couldn't buy anything to take with us. It all looked delicious though the prices reflected the price expected of a high end deli in a tourist trap

On their website it says lunch is served from 9.15. So we get up and in the car to pick up some sandwiches. We get there at 10.05 and order, but they don't start serving lunch food till 10.30. Why state on your website a earlier time then? We've made the drive here, so say we will wait. In return we got given a look as if this was the biggest inconvenience ever. So we waited. 10.30 came and went. We wasn't sure if we could order or not - the lady didn't call us over and say 'Thanks for waiting, what would you like?'. Nothing. So we go ask 'Is it ok to order now?' with smiles on our faces. She rolls her eyes, grabs a notepad and writes down what we want - I asked a question, she couldn't even look at me to answer me, rolls her eyes again then tells us it will be a while because she's not ready. If it wasn't for my boyfriend really wanting to eat here, I would have just walked out and not got the sandwich. In fact, I did walk out and left him to pay. I'm not rude and I don't expect people to be rude back to me. I understand you might be busy, so just explain and all will be cool. What makes it weirder is that I heard her being polite to a local. So maybe as a visitor to your lovely village (as one who might not return for a while) we don't deserve the same respect. The sad part is our sandwiches were good. Really good. My tuna melt was the best I've ever had and it was a really good price at £12 for two sandwiches and drinks. But would I go back while on holiday here? Nope.

Great little deli, bobbed in for a wood baked pizza, spot on.read more

We had some amazing food in the café and then purchased some lovely wine and cheese and beautiful homemade apricot chutney on the way out. The couple that own the business are the friendliest and kindest people and had a wonderful scene of humor and we chatted for ages I left feeling like I have known them forever. If you are visiting you must go and if you are a local then you are very lucky to have this amazing shop on your doorstop!

She could only sit in the dog friendly area that only had bar stools. We quickly explained that it is unlawful under Equality legislation to treat someone with disabilities less favourably because of their disability, or because they have a Guide or assistance Dog with them. But sadly, it quickly became obvious that my wife was not going to be treated with the respect and dignity she deserves, and the atmosphere was no longer conducive to enjoying a meal, so we left. He has since spoken with the Guide Dogs for the Blind Engagement Officer, and been informed of what he should have done, but no apology to my wife was ever forthcoming, which would have cost him nothing! I just want my wife to be treated like a human being! Each (illegal) "you can't sit here, sit over there" is a crushing, confidence shattering rejection.

It's run by a passionate couple Hugo and Sarah who know their food and drink Hugo won the 2008 UK Barista Championship and represented the UK in the World Barista Championship. He is a dedicated and passionate barista and a great inspiration to the coffee industry! Sarah is a passionate foodie with an almost unending knowledge of cheese, olives and speciality cold meats. I'm sure she used to run some of Rick Stein's shops in Padstow! It's hard to go in to the deli and not come out clutching freshly baked bread, olives, coffee beans and some of her signature fig oil salad dressing! My recomendation: a Flat White and a fresh brownie from the cafe then a browse around the deli. Be very quick though because this place is busy all year round, you'll probably find it hard to get a seat! http://www.relishwadebridge.co.uk/

The coffee shop is constantly a busy bustling place at all times of the day. We first went on the off chance to get out a rainstorm, then visited again three more times in the next few days. Milkshakes made with fresh fruit and award winning coffee tempt you back, as does the enthusiasm of the staff. For me the real highlights were a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich for breakfast, and a shared lunch of a warm mushroom and brie sandwich. Both were packed with flavour. The coffee shop has a modern feel, with posters showcasing the owners participation in Barista championships around the world.
