His little shop was busy yet he was pleasant and greeted each person with courtesy. He didn't have what I needed so he sent me to his competition. When I walked in it was a much more polished business with two guys sitting behind desks. They made me feel like I had interupted a couple of guys at the bar having a serious conversation that wanted to be left alone! The one who waited on me seemed pleasant enough until I explained who had recommended them. He gave me the "Hrrruuummmpppphhhhhh!" More important, I needed to be sure they would exercise EXTREME patience with my dad and his bad hearing. Luckily, I found Cyber Tech Cafe in my search and noticed the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) logo on their main page. Immediately, I knew they had to know Linux and could help. After submitting a request on their contact page, Nathan replied and I explained the need for their help and their patience with my dad. He followed-up with my questions and I sent my dad, computer in hand, over to the shop. Nathan updated me later with the current status and prognosis for the computer. Super nice. Very difficult to speak to anyone other than a call center phone operator…read more Had me jump through many preparation hoops, emphasizing on me being prepared, sending photos, double checking that someone would be off work and home at 10:00 AM. The cancelled 29 min before the schedule install. When I called to reschedule or speak to someone, it was as if I was bothering them. Likely a big national group using inexperienced and unreliable local companies that will only work you in around their "real" customers. I recommend sticking with BestBuy or another local company you know and trust.
