With great sadness, I had to leave the barber who had served me so well: Roger, subject of my first Qype review (http://www.qype.co.uk/place/75066-Rogers-Gents-barber-Tadworth) , unfortunately had an operation requiring an extended recuperation meaning that I had to bite the bullet and find a new barber.
It's always been traumatic for me to change barber (I once carried on visiting a barber an hour's drive away after I moved) so I was more than a little nervous walking into the barbershop I spotted right next to Redhill train station.
I was even more nervous when it just so happened that the barber to call me up (there's a team of about four here, I think) happened to be a woman. I've not had a woman cut my hair since my mum traumatised me when I was a schoolchild, but I decided I could always get the whole lot shaved off if necessary.
Stacey, the woman cutting my hair, did a great job, however; even better than my previous barber Roger. So much so that I'll now ask specifically for her to cut my hair, even if it means I have to wait longer.
So, in short, The Complete Barber shop offers quick service (no appointments necessary), great prices (my cut cost a bargainous £9) and a good cut. What more could you ask for from a barbershop? read more
