Laura cut my hair and she is a top class professional, discussing and making suggestions on the style and cut that would best suit me. Paul's team are a lovely bunch, obviously picked for their bubbly personalities as well as their top notch haidressing skills. The banter between the group is always a joy to behold! None of your po-faced, 'too cool to be friendly', jeans worn 'builders bum' style youngsters here! A trip to Paul's salon is always an enjoyable experience, from the guaranteed warm, friendy welcome, the excellent coffee and banter to the super hairdo at the end. The new location off Lesbourne road means you do have to allow a smidgen of extra time to find parking however this is more than outweighed by finding yourself in the middle of Trumpton style village with a butchers, a bakers and in this case, a candlestick seller. For anyone considering going to Paul's do go it is a lovely experience. To anyone who already goes I guess you are hooked too!

It seems whichever salon you go to, the welcome is consistently great and always effortless - never staged. I go to Rush in Redhill now, as my stylist 'Simon' who originally worked at the Croydon salon opened and now manages Rush in Redhill. Everyone there maintains a high standard when it comes down to customer care and tlc....hence why I'd NEVER ever consider going anywhere else. Also not forgetting the amazing style and cut by Simon. This guy knows his stuff!! Can't fault Rush in Redhill! Their stylists are busy and in demand for only one reason...because they know what their customers wants and how to make you feel great.

IN fact I am a regular customer for the beauticians too as I have a spray tan and waxing there and thats great too. I have recommended this to friends too and thats because its fantastic as I wouldn't recommend if it wasn't. I am really surprised to read the above comments because I can't believe that would occur, it seems a little story telling as for all the years I have been there I have never seen that service. Shame as I would hate people to think that the place is like that. I once had my hair coloured here, and was given not a penny of the £130 I spent on it back when, within two weeks, it had faded out to a muddy mess. I was told by the owner it would have needed to have been bleached if I wanted it to take properly, but I had said specifically to the stylist I was willing to have it bleached before she'd even started. Then I was told well, reds can be tricky Huh, would've liked to have been told that before putting my hair through the process and before being relieved of my £130. When I said as much to the owner, she got very shirty and said I just got back from vacation, I don't need this, and she walked away. I also have two friends who received haircuts that were nowhere near what the stylist had been advised they wanted. The one who had her hair cut much shorter than she'd said she wanted let them know, and she was treated very shoddily, as well. Too bad. Redhill could use a bit of glamour, but it certainly isn't going to get it via self-important shops like this. Note if the owner is listening: People want to be made to feel GOOD at a hair salon, not like stupid peons who should be lucky you'll take their money.

The staff are very friendly and down to earth and it honestly feels like going in for a chat and having my hair done is a bonus! Not one of those hairdressers where you feel self concious just walking in, very down to earth yet professional at the same time. For those that are interested you can also have your feet up and the massage chair on while having your hair washed. Upstairs is a beauty salon bit with fake tan, manicures etc which is also quite good.

I've defected here from The Complete Barber Shop near Redhill station because the last couple of times I've been there, the haircut's been perfunctory and the barber seemingly so disinterested that he hasn't even bothered getting the mirror out so I can see how he's cut the back.

It's always been traumatic for me to change barber (I once carried on visiting a barber an hour's drive away after I moved) so I was more than a little nervous walking into the barbershop I spotted right next to Redhill train station. I was even more nervous when it just so happened that the barber to call me up (there's a team of about four here, I think) happened to be a woman. I've not had a woman cut my hair since my mum traumatised me when I was a schoolchild, but I decided I could always get the whole lot shaved off if necessary. Stacey, the woman cutting my hair, did a great job, however; even better than my previous barber Roger. So much so that I'll now ask specifically for her to cut my hair, even if it means I have to wait longer. So, in short, The Complete Barber shop offers quick service (no appointments necessary), great prices (my cut cost a bargainous £9) and a good cut. What more could you ask for from a barbershop?

I have been taking my three kids to Juniors (and one of their other shops in Carshalton) for 4…read moreyears now. Prior to this I had found it difficult, especially with my middle one who is not good at all at having his hair cut. I have always found the girls there really good - really patient. The play areas are also really good - it is one of the reasons I can get the kids to go, as they like the massive train track. Anyway, quite a few of my friend now use them (mostly the Merstham shop as that is nearest where we live) and most I don't think would go anywhere else. The parking is now much easier than trying to get into one of the town centres as they have got 2-hour parking in the street right outside. So basically, good place - kids love it.

Maybe that's…read morebecause of the age of my two (2 and 4) and they're not hugely willing to sit still for long periods of time, but it seems to depend on how busy they are as to the quality of the haircut they got. They seemed to have a certain number of hairstyles in their book and cut according to those over what I asked them to do with my boys' hair. The play area is genius, I can't understand why there isn't a shop like this in every town, but again, the actual haircuts seem to be hit and miss, even if you went back to the same stylist. If you get there early, parking isn't an issue, but for some reason each time I was running late I couldn't find a thing.
