The food is only decent, if you eat there, at least they can make corrections when messed up. Pickup or Delivery, so far 3 out 3 failed to fulfil order for pick up and just tried delivery. Prices are too high for what you get. read more

I ordered takeout from Compadres the other day and, overall, I was not disappointed. The street tacos were amazing! I order the pork ones and, seriously, they were mouthwatering and delicious - best taco I've had in awhile!! The elote, unfortunately, was pretty mid. The corn wasn't sweet and it was too watery - literally the warm water just absorbed the mayo. It didn't taste bad, but I love street corn and, as much as I wanted this to be great, it really wasn't. You will not find a better taco in Rochester. I promise you, I have tried them all (ok maybe not all of them, but most of them). You may think there's no way a taco from a place in the mall is going to taste authentic but let me tell you, you're wrong. The guys work there are always super friendly. I'm usually not a huge fan of steak but I love their steak tacos. The taco meal comes with four tacos, rice, and beans and they cook the meat right in front of you so it's always fresh. Their green sauce is also really delicious- not spicy, just the perfect amount of flavor. They also sell my favorite Mexican drinks - Jarritos & (nonalcoholic) sangria. read more

Amazing tacos! The carnitas are my favorite! Great tortillas, super soft and amazing taste. The filling is the prefect amount, with a ton of cilantro (which is a super plus in my opinion!) and just a touch of queso blanco. The carnitas are perfectly cooked and have crispy edges. This food truck has snagged my business a few times over the past month now. They have a no-frills menu that simply does the trick; you can order a burrito, quesadilla, or 4 tacos, no sides to speak of, but the quantity of food you receive will still leave you feeling full and content. I've opted for the steak burrito a few times and fair warning - it's the size of a small newborn baby. If I had one complaint, it's that its loaded with rice and the tortilla wrap has a hard time not buckling and falling apart halfway through your meal (it can get messy real quick!). The tacos are equally as good but they are missing something, maybe diced tomatoes on them would be nice. I hate to bring attention to this place because its kind of my secret spot away from the hustle and bustle that the Mayo crowd brings during the lunch hour. Every time we are in town we have to stop here! The food is amazing always fresh and salsas are on point with flavor and spicy level. I recommend pretty much anything but their tacos are sooo good also the corn on the cup. If you live in town or are visiting make sure you stop by. read more

I was in the Apache Mall and noticed The compadres, wasn't really in the mood for any of the food in here and decided to look for a decent place nearby and noticed the reviews at the compadres place were good and it looks like it use to be a taco truck...so I took a chance... GLAD I did! Wonderful taco al pastor! My wife doesn't even like Mexican food and stole two of my tacos! I spent a lot of time in El Paso Tx for work so I do not usually eat Mexican, especially up north! Wonderful food and service here at The compadres though!! read more

I go here frequently to get the carnitas tacos. They are incredible with the green sauce which comes with it. I think it's lime salsa, but not 100% sure. It goes great on everything. The service has always been wonderful. read more

If bad service does not bother you, go to their Byron restaurant. Portions are huge! Our server was awful!!! He threw our drinks and food on the table and when we asked for more chips and our tab, we never saw it! read more

Rented the truck for an event, and based on our experience, I would not recommend their service to anyone. When I called to reduce the number of plates ~3 weeks before the event, I was informed that I needed to pay a $200 parking fee, which was NEVER mentioned in previous conversations. They arrived 50 minutes late, even with confirmation of the date and time the day prior. In addition, the driver was dishonest, and the person that identified himself as the owner was rude every time I talked to him on the phone. Normally, my wife and I enjoy the nachos. I called to place an order to go. I had 20 minutes to drive, I asked that they put the chips seperate from the toppings, so we wouldn't have soggy chips. The person taking my order informed me that they won't do that. This is the second time I've been told this at a second location. Most of the time, they help me out. I work in management at a restaurant and accommodate a lot more intrusive special orders than simply separating chips from the toppings. I don't know if I'll be back. Compadres catered my wedding! Great tacos and very professional catering staff. They brought the taco truck to the venue and our friends and family raved about the food. One of the teenagers who attended was so impressed that they went back to the mall location the next day to eat more of the menu! We'll definitely be eating there as often as we can. Lately it seems I've got a thing for food trucks, maybe the military life of past brings back the "Roach coach"foodie in me, this said these guys are far from "roach coach". I'm someone who frequently eats at taco trucks. Usually at least once a week. I also spent a lot of time in Tijuana Mexico, so I know good, authentic, street tacos. I would say these are just average. The meat is often on the dry and chewy side and they are frequently out of Carnitas, and even when they have them, it is cut-up pork rather than pulled pork and just not as good. And their prices are 25% higher than the other taco trucks. Eight tiny tacos with a small portion of rice & beans will run you $25.00. Only $20 at any of the others in Rochester. Corona's is definitely the best. We also like Mr Pueblo. We used to eat at Lucy's quite often but rarely find them open anymore, so haven't been there in about a year now. read more

I had them when they went to LTS. My parents were with me and I got the tacos and my dad got the burrito. I can saw it was some of the best Mexican food in Rochester. Even when I left I had to pick a burrito up for my fiancé since she has to work late. She told me it was better than Chipotle. So I would say a great place to eat. read more
