    Eggs Benedict over roasted mushrooms

Had a great brunch here. What a great spot. Have to come back for dinner sometime. Wonderful ambience. Food quality is top notch. Service was professional and friendly. Parking is right on the street or side streets. There is a lot not far as well. Had the eggs Benedict. Was wonderful. Eggs were poached perfectly. Farm to table vibe.

One of my favorite restaurants in Orillia. The first upscale restaurant available in Orillia with excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. The Argentinian style fire pit stove makes this place also very unique. All the food here is amazing. From everything steak, ribeye to the filet the meat here is amazing. They have some other options including fish and veg so dont get scared. You will not be disappointed with almost any item on the menu.

As this restaurant gets older, it just keeps getting better and better. The menu keeps evolving to keep up with the season's best bounty. The only things that stay the same are the quality meats and the amazing staff. All summer long, there is outdoor dining making your experience that much better. Some new highlights are the beef tartare, bitter salad and steakhouse potatoes. The cowboy steak is a great option if you go with a group. Remember to ask them to fry the fat for a tasty treat.

Classy, sophisticated and tasty! First time trying this snazzy restaurant in Downtown Orillia and very impressed. We sat in the alleyway - which I highly recommend for dinner. We came here for drinks & appetizers and were met with very fairly priced wine and fairly priced side dishes and appetizers. 5oz wines going from $10+ and a very long beer and wine list Their menu was vast with lots of meat & seafood options which we'll definitely come back for next time. *I recommend making a reservation on friday nights and saturdays in advance! You can still probably find a table but likely after 8:30/9pm

    Delicious Pavlova for 2!

4.5 stars! (Late post) We visited on Labor day weekend in September, food and service were both amazing! We ordered the beef tartare and it had pickled blueberries in it which made the flavor pop! Steak and fries were also on point (and picture perfect)! Their pavlova for 2 was huge...and only cost CAD $11! The only disappointment was the broccolini dish - great concept pairing it with anchovies but came in way too much sauce. Overall a lovely experience!

The Common Stove is a farm to table restaurant in Orillia with a great vibe! The restaurant itself is beautiful with great cocktails and food. They are known for their meats and veg dishes that are cooked over a wood fired grill. They are Feast ON certified and source their products as locally as possible. They have also been named in the top 100 romantic restaurants in Canada as well as top 100 restaurants for outdoor dining. Their chef Ben was also named "top 30 under 30". This is the perfect spot for a date night, cocktails, brunch or girls night out! It's a definite must try in Orillia!

Please Do NOT go to this restaurant!! Let me start off with the only positive: Decor: 5/5 for the outdoor patio. Great place for photos. Negatives Waitress, food quality and customer service. 1. We found a FLY in one of our coffees (we were a party of 4) and pointed it out. As we all shared the exact same cream in which the fly came from. The waitress only wanted the replace one coffee instead of the tables.. After reluctantly not wanting to change the coffees, she did. But only to come back with another cream , this time with a HAIR floating in it. Finally on the third try, she gave us the cream with such bitterness and walked away mumbling loud words such as (shit, stupid etc) 2. After choosing our options for lunch (which may I add the options for lunch are very limited) We decided upon 2 burgers 1 burrata salad and 1 steak tartar. Burrata Salad- soooooooo cold. Basically a frozen block of cheese, served with limping salad leaves. When the waitress decided to come back to check on us, she realized I didn't touch much of my salad. She processed to bombard me with questions and harshly ask what's my problem with the food. I decided that if she wanted an answer I would give it to her. I proceeded to say the cheese was far too cold. Which then she remarked "have you ever had burrata cheese". I responded yes, many times and they are all served room temperature. She laughed and said you know cheese is served cold ONLY. And then said she will bring bread so I finish it ..... Steak tartar - this dish actually tasted okay. Very Average with a high price tag. Regardless the table was enjoying the dish, until we picked up the lettuce served with it and found a HAIR (yes another hair) entangled into the salad leaves and tartar. After what was a very difficult lunch we decided not to call the waitress over to show her, but just wanted our bill so we could eat someplace else. 3. The bill ... where to start. After the waitress was clearly avoiding our table since the whole coffee incident (our food was served by two people from the kitchen). We decided to ask a host who was seating another table for the bill. Soon after asking, our waitress came over started packing our table and then asked if we already asked for the bill. When we said yes, she mumbled under her breath again and walked away. When the host came out with the bill, the first question he asked was "how was your burrata" when I responded okay, he said "I've heard you hard it warmer". In which I said yes room temperature. He then replied it's only served warm unless you've had it in Italy (in which he then smiled) If by any chance the host is reading this: I'm not sure as to what or who has unfortunately told the you that, but the burrata I've had that is room temperature has been in Toronto. But if your remark was either classism or racism,I have had better room temperature burrata in Turin/ Milan and far better customer service compared to this place. Please if you are reading this just skip it and go to the Eclectic Cafe & Catering. It's literally a few doors away. You won't be disappointed.

*** Update from our previous visit ***…read more My family had been to Era 67 in late September, and had a horrendous experience. After we posted our review the owner, Brian, contacted us to discuss what happened. He then offered for us to come back and give them another shot. We accepted, and returned this past Sunday (November 10th) When we arrived, we were seated quickly in the private room. Brian extended his apologies again and thanked us for returning. Our drink order was taken and delivered in a timely manner. My husband was impressed with his Old Fashioned, and said it was well made. We placed our appetizer and dinner choices at the same time. The appetizers were a bit slow to come out, however we attributed that to it being a busy evening. No big deal for us. We had the stuffed Yorkies, and the bruschetta. Both were excellent. Our dinners took longer than expected, but again, it was a busy night. 2 of us has the braised lamb shank, 2 had the Prime Rib special, and I had the striploin. They were worth the wait!! My brother wanted to lick his plate when he finished his lamb and said it was the best he's ever had. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the prime rib was also well enjoyed. Although we didn't have much space left, we elected to try their flourless chocolate torte for dessert, 2 pieces to be shared amongst us. It was super rich, but came with a raspberry coulis to help cut it. Excellent!! All in all, our experience was a million times better than our last. For me, personally, I do wish the food came out a bit faster, but aside from that, we were all very pleased. I've given it a 4 only because of the delay in between courses. The food was still worth the wait though. I know that my family plans to return. My mother wants to try the lamb after seeing how much my father and brother enjoyed theirs. Thanks for a great night, Brian.

Chicken was extremely tender, potatoes & side veggies perfectly roasted & seasoned... marsal sauce was delicious and plentiful (as I love there to be a little extra sauce rather than not enough). Our Server, Alexia (I think that was her name) was excellent... just perfect amount of attentiveness, conversation, recommendations and communication. we had a complim slice of cheesecake for the bday guest, and we also ordered the chocolate lava cake which was delicious and perfect to finish off our meal. The seats were comfortable and the ambiance it was warm and inviting. Our server, Becky was attentive and friendly. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip which was clearly made on site. The flavours were so perfect and I could tell they used marinated artichokes. It made it a unique yet familiar experience. I had the Italian wedding soup and my friend had the Caesar salad to start . I like that all the meals come with standard steakhouse options, including starters. We both chose a mixed grill so that we could have a taste of everything. It came with vegetables, and then we had an option of either pasta with Alfredo sauce, fries, wild rice, or the potato of the day. I went with pasta with Alfredo sauce. It was so yummy. And I want to give a shout out to the half rack ribs that come with the mixed grill. Everything was tender and juicy. But the ribs were definitely the big star of that show. I also ordered a virgin Caesar. Which was absolutely perfect. I think one of the reasons that the food is so good is because it's really obvious that everybody there cares about the food and the customer. And they care about each other. The interactions between staff that I witnessed showed that they work together very well as a team, but also They like each other. I will definitely come back to the Pepper Mill.
