The customer service is old-school. They genuinely care. It is family owned not a corporate chain. Very personalized service. I bought a chair on Friday and Kathleen spent a generous amount of time helping me select a chair that was perfect for my back issues. She knows her stuff as far as where the head should be the lumbar, etc. I would sit in a certain chair and she would literally tell me. "Oh no that one's not for you you will not be comfortable." They are truly into your satisfaction not the sale. This is not medical supply. This is beautiful furniture that anyone would love to have in their home. The owner, Julia is a delight as well. I had the best experience purchasing two sofas for my family room. They have a vast selection in the showroom, so it was easy to narrow down what we liked and did not like. The team is incredibly knowledgeable about their inventory and the manufacturers and helped us pick sofas that could meet our requirements. They went the extra mile to work with the manufacturer to customize the sofas further. They are also very helpful (and patient) if you need help picking out fabric. Very very poor manufacturer service. We had a problem with the chair and after months of phone calls and photos of the problem the expensive chair has still not been repaired. Our couch was delivered yesterday about two-three weeks before it was supposed to be ready! I have been so excited to see the couch and it turned out exactly a we had pictured it. The delivery service they use was also great. They were able to deliver it right after it arrived in the warehouse and the delivery guys were very nice and professional. They had it unwrapped and setup in just a couple of minutes. And the delivery fee was extremely reasonable compared to the big name stores. We are extremely happy with our decision to custom order our couch through the Comfortable Chair Store. Their knowledge and commitment to customer service is amazing. How extremely disappointing my experience The Comfortable Chair Store was. I ordered two chairs March 12, 2021 and gave them over $2000.00 of my money and the end result on October 5, 2021, 7 months later, was no chairs, spotty communication, and the owner, Julia Daniels, really didn't care about her customer. They wrote up the order wrong and admit to THEIR mistake yet they won't take responsibility other than to say you can keep the wrong chairs costing me $4347.69 with a $500 credit, I will give you money back, or we will reorder and this could take another 6 months to receive the furniture. We asked if they reorder the chairs that they provide 2 chairs for our remodeled room but that was impossible. I wouldn't have cared if they went to a furniture rental store to get 2 chairs, we even said we would sign something saying if the chairs were damaged on return, we would be liable. NO NO NO was all we got. Julia could care a less about her customers satisfaction. I looked over the order and agreed that it was correct. I did not want nail heads on the chair and it said nothing about nail heads being on the chair. The chair that we sat in in the store had no nail heads. Wouldn't you think that nail heads would be extra. I guess that is not the case it needed to say no nail heads. Really! Finally, they told me about the mistake September 9th. A week later they tell me that the original plan to fix the chairs that were ordered wrong was not acceptable, per Julia, and we needed to reorder or return. It took another week and a half for her to tell us that we could not have two chairs in the meantime. Their customer service is extremely lacking! It is now a month later and I will have to order these chairs through another retailer that is giving me a better price. Really!!! BUYER BEWARE! Not sure how I would have prevented the order being placed wrong but for some reason Julia made us feel that we could have prevented this mistake. CRAZY!!!! read more

OH YEAH, YOU BETTER GRAB THAT BLACK CARD FIRST!! For a number of years, I asked my son what he would like to take with him when he leaves home. He never wavered and always said that he wanted the leather sectional that seats seven people and weighs at least 200 pounds. Yeah right! Fast forward and guess who has no seating in her family room? Uggh! I wanted him to have a piece of home and I couldn't say no because he is that guy who has few possessions, but they have great meaning to him. After disappointing visits to some of the major department and furniture stores in the area, I decided that I would try this particular store as the ratings were stellar and they appeared to carry quality pieces. We arrive at the store and are focused on leather seating, (sofa and chairs). My process is very different from my husbands', I just like to wander around a bit and will rarely ask questions because I prefer to do my own research and tend to shop by brands so know what to expect. While my husband was getting a lot of special attention, (totally appropriate and very helpful), with all of his questions, I enjoyed bouncing from surface to surface in a search for the perfect seat. Some of their leather selections were sublime, (quality meets, smart design and comfort) but didn't quite satisfy my aesthetic eye. Although my taste is traditional and a bit transitional, I found their seating selections to be a bit too conservative for my taste. I know that I have not been furniture shopping in years but DANG what happened? The current trend is just so bland and neutral. I need some COLOR people! Although my aesthetic is traditional, I can totally embrace a teal sofa with great feet, (No legs allowed!). Yes, they have nice samples of various leathers in great colors such as orange and red. However, I want to walk into a showroom, (like back in the day), that is awash in beautiful rich colors. I really need a firm yet comfortable sofa that makes me feel as if I am sitting on a throne and that has been difficult to find. If you are looking for a great electric leather recliner or a sideboard/dresser, this place is a great option because the quality of the items I experienced was excellent. The electric chair prices appeared to start around $2300 and the dressers just over $1300 but some of the floor samples were marked 50% off so be aware of this when you visit. Yes, that sounds pricey because the stores that often advertise their prices are the ones of lesser quality with prices to match. The quality of these dressers is impeccable and you will pay accordingly so bring that black card! ***Great customer service and all questions were easily answered. read more

Great find! After looking at sofas for a year I saw an advertisement in the AJC, The Comfortable Chair Store had expanded. We drove from Douglasville to Roswell and boy am I happy we did. Debbie greeted us as we were looking around, asked what we were looking for and within 30 seconds showed us the sofa style we wanted. She was helpful but not pushy, no high pressure from anyone here, Julie the owner was also very nice. Debbie showed us all all of our cushion and fabric options, a decision was made and we checked out. All in all a very pleasant shopping experience. I can't recommend this store enough. They carry great brands and the lift chairs they carry are unbelievable, beautiful fabrics and a washable fabric I would have sworn was leather. Do yourself a favor, stop by and visit. read more

My aunt, almost 100 years old, had a wide choice of recliners in the store -- more than any area department store or lazy kid store. She also got fine service and solid information from the owners/operators. In the end, but with NO steering or pressure from the owners, she decided to spend more than she'd thought she deserved in order to get a high-quality power-operated chair. After all, she doesn't just sit on it during the day, she sleeps on it at night. The chair was delivered yesterday right on schedule. She found it to be just what she'd hoped for and expected, including ease of operation. And when she woke this morning, it was the first time in years that she had no pain anywhere in her body.
