Nasser Alrayess - A male comedian is performing on stage at The Comedy Studio, holding a microphone and smiling. The stage features a blue curtain backdrop and a sign with the venue's name, 'the comedy studio.' A water bottle is placed on a small table beside him. Audience members are visible in the foreground, and a red illuminated exit sign is hanging above the stage.

I loved the show with Nasser Alrayess. The staff was very nice. The place was clean and organized. Great place for a fun night.

Such a great experience!! I went to a show this week and was so glad to discover it. Super fun comedians, a great variety of acts. The host was funny as well! They have shows every night, 7 days a week. The space was intimate and cozy. Clean bathrooms. They have a bar there as well and serve drinks.

View of stage from 2nd row - The image shows a stage at The Comedy Studio in Harvard Square, with a wooden stool and a microphone on a stand positioned in front of a blue curtain. A sign with the venue's name is visible on the curtain, indicating the location as a comedy club. The stage is lit with purple and blue lighting, creating a vibrant atmosphere suitable for stand-up performances.

Saw the comedy gold show at 7:30 on Saturday night. This venue is a gem! Everyone is very nice and very professional and it has a great vibe. Sight lines from anywhere in the venue are excellent. The bar was efficient and the prices are indeed high, like they explain on the website. A box of movie theater size candy is seven dollars. Draft beers are nine dollars and there were $14 mixed drinks. Before the show you can go to the bar and mingle and during the show, you can order off a QR code on a little coffee table by your seat. Seats are fairly comfortable. The pace is clean and for a basement was well ventilated and comfortable. We never felt boxed in. There were two reasons why I took off a star, but hopefully the next time I return things will improve. The first the venue has no control over. We were seated next to a large and obnoxious bachelor party. It was like a MAGA fest group and they had reserved seats on the side. Totally unpleasant but not the venue's fault. One of the comedians actually told them to STFU which seemed to do the job, thank goodness! The biggest reason I took off a star is because this is a comedy club and we paid a lot for so-so comedy. The comedians in the lineup were either lacking stage presence or material. There was no headliner and the five comics had some chuckles, but some of the stories went on too long and desperately needed fine-tuning. group comedy shows can be hit or miss but this really felt more like an open mic night. For $26 a ticket, I expected more. I would like to come back because I enjoy going to comedy clubs and it's such a fun night out in Harvard Square. Hopefully next time we'll head a more consistent bunch of experience comics. Because truly the place is awesome.

This is my favorite spot in Bow Market! The bartender is amaaazing. It's a fun ambiance, with so many killer cocktails to choose from. Plus, he's so knowledgeable he'll even make you a drink that's not on the menu. My friend asked for a mint julep, and the bartender made him a beautiful looking strong icy cold one with fresh mint. I had the cocktail he makes for people when they say they like mezcal. It's incredible! The smokey mezcal is perfectly complimented by the other ingredients in this mixed drink.

We came here for the comedy show and had a great time! The location is amazing because you can grab a bite from any of the shops and bring it into the bar to enjoy with a delicious cocktail. The show itself was pretty funny, with a great lineup of comedians. Make sure you buy tickets together with your group as you'll be seated together that way. I'll be back for jazz nights on Thursdays!

First time trying out this place. The comedy studio is located behind Variety bar. We were having trouble booking 2 tickets online so we called and the owner was really helpful and was able to book us 2 tickets at the last minute! Great customer service! Staff was really pleasant. Drinks were made to perfection. Reasonably priced and strong! Performers were hilarious ! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and definitely will recommend to anyone looking for a fun night out! We plan to come back again!

It's a nice environment, the comedians were pretty funny. The host/owner was hilarious. You must know the Pledge of Allegiance before coming to a show here, which thankfully I knew DON'T show up late to the damn show, its rude. Anyways, its in this nice little area called Bow Market which is a open outdoor space with a round shopping mall, it was so cool! Parking absolutely sucks ass, but you can find parking around on the side streets at houses and etc, AND not have to pay parking. A bit of walking but ya probably need it. Anyways, go to a show here, have a few drinks, live laugh love LOL.

Nice and cozy venue. Performers are a hit-or-miss, but overall they are fun. Two hours show which is entertaining. Full bar and some food from the Chinese restaurant on the first floor. Make reservations in advance - it helps to get a table...

Neither did Boston's Unscripted Musical Project (B.U.M.P.), which is what I came to see. But I was feeling lazy and so I didn't start up a profile for either. I don't head over to the Seaport District much, particularly at night, but it was a short walk from South Station, and gave me the chance to check out Flour for dinner beforehand. Alternatively, Blue Dragon is right there on the corner of Melcher Street and A Street, bordering the same No Restaurant Parking as the Boston Button Factory. According to a gentleman I met, the nearby metered spot turned into permit parking after hours but there's $8 parking a short walk away at the Gillette lot - I think he meant the parking lot at 284 A Street. Looks like it is cash only and $5 on weekends. Some facts about the space - it is a raw space that they filled with folding chairs, there are stairs leading down into the space and a step to the single restroom, so take care if you are able bodied, and if you are not, I'm not sure you can get yourself into this basement space; doors open a half hour before show time; seating is general seating (aka first come first served); BYOB (within reason). A focus of the Catalyst Comedy Club is to enable local comedians to develop their talent locally, which is cool, and so, as such, there was an opening act before the BUMP feature act. And thus, my review moves on from the Catalyst Comedy Club to the performance... According to the introduction, the opening act had won a competition. I found that hard to believe, though I will admit that I did laugh out loud once. As I walked towards South Station with a couple after the show, I found them to be in agreement, so it wasn't just me. We did, however, enjoy BUMP's opening (and closing) production of "Superman's Underpants" as suggested by a boy located in the front row with his mom and siblings, and created on the spot with multiple acts and songs, with heroes and villains, with love and conflict and cats. Lots of cats. Sure, there was no finesse to the show, but that is to be expected, given the premise, though a few pauses were starting to get awkward. Through both performances, however, I noticed a theme of joking about disliking kids, which I found to be rather in poor taste given the three children seated right there, in the first row on the left. It was approximately half hour opening act, 1 hour BUMP. For more info: www.bumpcomedy.com. www.theatreinboston.com/theatre/boston-button-factory/8

Thanks to an audience suggestion, the title of the musical that was made up on the spot that night was "Tai Chi Sasquatch". All the lines & the songs were made up in the moment, not pre-planned. The cast included some Improv Boston & Improv Asylum former cast members, so they have the skills to make things up and still be funny & entertaining. After the musical, the cast added more performers and did some "freeze" scenes. It was a fun night out, and I look forward to seeing the future performances and performers that come to the "C3" space. The performance space is a former factory that hosts art shows during the day, so it's kind of a blank canvas to work with.

Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is a witty, tender, and wonderfully modern musical that had the audience laughing out loud, tearing up, and giving a well-earned standing ovation. The chemistry between Dougal (Sam Tutty) and Robin (Christiani Pitts) lit up the stage. Their performances were heartfelt and magnetic, the songs both catchy and moving, and the direction made the streets of NYC feel like they were unfolding right before us. A brilliant mix of humor, soul, and genuine emotion. Huge kudos to the entire cast and crew for such a standout show. Don't miss it--performances have been extended through July 13th! The entire staff, regardless of positions and destinations were simply welcoming and engaging. Encore!

Attended a show there in the summer and while the show was great, the venue is in horrendous shape and they don't care. First, they claim to be ADA compliant. That's pretty much a lie. They're wheelchair accessible, *IF* they remember to open the door that leads to the elevator, and ALSO to unlock the door that leads to the venue, HOWEVER, they very often forget one or both of those, but also, they do NOT have an accessible restroom!! Saloon, down the hall, allows use of their accessible restroom, *IF* they're open, but they have cut their hours, and were not open during the aforementioned show. No warning, just no ADA-compliant restroom. This is BAD. I have emailed the venue FOUR TIMES and have been completely ignored. So here we are. A place that used to be quirky but cool, is now just a little craphole that sometimes manages to book good talent. I would definitely advise my friends who produce shows to find elsewhere. Communication is important. So is accessibility. They do NOT care. I was going to be nice and give 2 stars, but you know what? With their willingness to refuse to talk about/include accessibility, they can take their one star and shove it.

After my class, I became more involved in the burlesque scene and have helped out at several shows since then. I've even had the chance to compete in two of Rogue's Lucky 13 amateur shows, which are usually held every 3 months or so. Contestants have the chance to workshop their routine, no matter what stage of progress, to two Roguers for feedback. And let me tell you, if you're not used to performing, it's HARD.
