We are here for Marie Osmond's concert. This place is great for concerts and shows. Lights and sounds is amazing. Ceasars always have an amazing shows. Friendly and helpful staff. Ambiance is casual. Food: No food. But cash bar is available. Parking: Free self - parking Valet with fee. (Complimentary for Diamond and Seven Stars members) Restroom: Spacious and clean.

HUGE venue. View from the mezzanine

This place ended up surprising me. It was my first time here, and I was there to see Jim Gaffigan, this past Sunday night, with some friends ... Jim is one of my favorite comedians, and the Colosseum is a short 30-minute drive from the Detroit area. It reminded me of a high school auditorium, albeit HUGE. We had mezzanine seats, aka balcony seats, and they were pretty nice; there is ample room and leg room, even though myself and one friend are both larger ladies, and not a bad view in the house. I will say I was glad we were a few rows up from the front of the mezzanine, though, because there is a big glass partition that would have really annoyed me had I been sitting in the front. I think what knocks this down to a 3 vs. a 4 for me are a few things ... entering the auditorium was easy but exiting is a PITA, because there is literally ONE entrance. Then, to get back to self parking, you have to go back through the casino, and they usually check IDs for that (especially if you have a baby face, like I do ...). On the left was basically a herd of people streaming back through the casino, and on the right were the 19/20/21-year-olds waiting for IDs. Two different security people asked us to get in line but we said we are 32 (which we are, lol) ... so they let us pass. Not a good system. The other thing that annoyed me was that it was like a 5-6 minute walk to the bathroom (although, now that I know where they are, I'd book a seat on the opposite side of the auditorium - we were in the farthest section away). For normal people that's fine, but with someone with a chronic illness like myself, it could be a problem. There is an elevator down to the bathroom but there are also stairs. Unrelated to that, Jim's act was funny, and I'd come back here again if there was an act or a musical performance that I really wanted to see.

I like that this place is right over the border, so you don't have to drive to much through Windsor-tucky to get here.

Been here many times for different concerts and it's a HIT every time!…read more From the main floor, to high top seats by the sound booth, to balcony seats, there isn't a bad spot here to experience your favorite band or act. Many show up early and start the line that winds around the building so be ready for that. Rain, shine or snow! Haven't ordered any food here through all the concerts we've been to but have purchased a few cocktails and beers and the prices are reasonable for a venue like this. Cheaper than an arena that's for sure! The lights and sometimes the pyro that is allowed here is top notch. Mixed with the sound that rocks your chest (depending on the band of course), you get your money's worth. All of the ones we've been too have "gone over the specified time". Whatever that means, we're enjoying it. Whether it's the FIlmore's doing or the band's doing by feeding off of the crowd's energy, we'll always stick around longer!

We started out with Happy Hour at The Fillmore Detroit Bar for food and a refreshing drink. The bar is the former State Bar. It is a cool place to chill and the service was very quick. I had a Watermelon Lemonade Riffresher, chicken tenders and fries. It was an excellent venue for us to hear from author Kamala Harris to talk about her new book, 107 Days. She was delivering a message on her short road to the presidential campaign and the state of affairs today that have many U. S. Citizens feeling emotionally hijacked....but I digress. This was a great opportunity to experience in such a beautiful venue. It truly reminded me of a more intimate Fox Theatre.

I swear the odor is so powerful every breath fills your nose with mold. Everything in here doesn't look like it's been maintained cleaned or dusted in 30 years. There's piles of random items above the drink counter that look like it harbors dust from the 80s. Particles going right in the drink. On top of that they charged $10 at the door. And clearly it's a friends benefit kinda place because in the 45mins we were there we were LITERALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO PAID A DOOR CHARGE!! Now we are sitting at the bar no drink menu no nothing. I order a simple 2 green tea shots and the waitress is like staring at me. And I'm repeating my order and she started making clicking noises with her mouth bopping her head like she tweaking. I ask her how much it will be and completely ignores me. She's definitely giving under the influence vibes. I'm like shouldn't be more than 20 dollars. NO I was charged 25 dollars for 2 green tea shots in a plastic shot cup. 45 mins and we were down 45 dollars place was gross af and the green tea shot tasted like straight sour mix.. The lady never even came back to the end of the bar to ask if we wanted something other than a green tea shot. Just spaced out talking to other bartender. We cut our losses and ran straight for the door Place needs Bar Rescue or a wrecking ball.

They truly worked so hard to make it a fun and memorable experience, and I highly recommend the event! As for the venue itself, the location felt a little questionable but we felt safe during the event. As we walked back to our car we noticed they had a Security truck monitoring their back parking lot, which was nice to see. The inside of the venue is a bit rundown, and has a smoky smell. I think this could be a beautiful place if they put in some work to modernize it.
