If coming for lunch on a Sunday like I did, best phone ahead and make your reservation. The Sunday roast special is popular! The roast did not specify Yorkshire pud but I was confident that was what I was seeing passing by, table after table.
One pork roast for me and a schnitzel for my husband. He was impressed by his meal; size, sauce and hot but remarked the salad could have used more dressing.
My roast, whilst falling short on the potatoes, was just what I needed. Comfort food at its best. Gravy and apple sauce, carrots, peas, cauliflower bake and the most important elements - meat, crackling and the puffiest pud ever. Delicious!
Not much to look at outside but inside is cosy and welcoming. Charmingly refurbished; maintaining an old pub feel. read more
