They truly cater to what you want out of the experience. The hospitality was out of this world! The family and all that work there are so warming and knowledgeable. At our convenience we were seated for dinner in an intimate dining environment near a crackling fire in the fireplace. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of her job. From questions regarding menu items to choosing the best wine this young lady had all the right answers. Being the holiday season there was a Christmas tree lighting ceremony involving a 20 ft fir tree and actual candles. It was amazing. The food was excellent from the appetizer to the entrees and finally dessert. This is a hidden gem in the Seeley Lake area and not to be missed. I can't wait to return.

No cell service, no internet, no TV, no vehicles, just your own two feet or horseback to get around. To get to this ranch is typically on horseback, packing in all the items on a mule or a trailer behind the draft horses. But if you time it right they will take you by boat to the Y of the Sun River which is were the lodge is at. Three meals a day are provided with the package and you can decide what you want to do for the day. Horseback riding to the mountains, hiking up the amazing trails, fishing in the river, or spending the day in the sun in Medicine Sprinsg. (Natural Hot spring) This is also fabulous after a long hike btw. The meals are delicious, the service is exceptional, the cabins are basic, yet perfect. (I have never slept better) The outhouses are modern day bathrooms with showers. For you hunters out there, I hear the Elk hunting is amazing. The scenery is breathtaking. That release of the constant need to check your phone slowly disappears. To worry of what's going on with the stock market fades away. The appreciation and gratitude for every minute in the day skyrockets. The reminder that the journey to the top of every mountain you climb is one step at a time, so enjoy each step! We enjoyed dinners around the kitchen table and drinks on the patio watching the sunset. East Glacier is a great place to stay with easy access to Two Medicine, St. Mary's, & Many Glacier. We hiked around the property and played games in yard. Having been on the road for 5 days prior we really appreciated the washer and dryer. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful location and the people who own it.

When I called for directions to the Lodge, I was told that the reservation website had overbooked their rooms and no rooms were available. The owner was terse with me and belittled me for not calling in advance. Unfortunately, we weren't called, so we drove 2 hours only to be turned away. The lesson we learned today was difficult: call before making the drive to this location and make sure they have room available.

In a nutshell, the owners and staff are very nice folks, our cabin was clean and comfortable, however we both thought there are better dude ranch options out there if you're looking for a full week stay. They cater more as an outfitter guiding 7-10 multi day pak trips, which leave and arrive at various times during our week stay. The guest that stay at the ranch, are more of an afterthought. They allow guests to stay & ride for just a couple nights/days and then continue on with their Montana vacation. If you're looking for a 2-3 night stopover, sleep in a cabin and ride a horse a few times this is your place! If you're looking for a full week stay at an authentic dude ranch there are better choices. We had a good time, and the scenery from the lodges patio is beautiful, but the quality of the lodge, food, cabins, barn corral area, spring fed ponds were furthest from "authentic dude ranch" of the five ranches we have visited.
