It's very much your bare bones budget motel but the service is friendly and you're in a good location in town. The motel is in a small fly fishing town called Cascade. Our stay was quiet and comfortable. The spacious room was perfect and peaceful. Our room had two queen beds, two comfortable recliners, a wood table with two chairs, microwave, mini refrigerator, walk in shower with the usual shampoo, conditioner and soap packets. I'm tall and have rheumatoid arthritis so the knee's aren't too excited about bending sometimes so the taller toilet was great for me. They offer a single serve coffee maker (k-cups) with yummy flavored coffee! Flavored coffee..that's not something I've ever had offered to me before in any brand hotel. They also offer a snack bar in each room along with some water and gatorade with an ask for donations so they can continue to offer it for other guests. We loved this! Of course we will donate! Who doesn't need a snack when the store is closed late at night. Here you can get one! The parking spots are big! No door dings at this place! We liked this too! Park right up at your door for easy unloading. The parking lot is big so if you have a trailer or boat there's more than enough room for it. All in all this motel is superb! No cell service, no internet, no TV, no vehicles, just your own two feet or horseback to get around. To get to this ranch is typically on horseback, packing in all the items on a mule or a trailer behind the draft horses. But if you time it right they will take you by boat to the Y of the Sun River which is were the lodge is at. Three meals a day are provided with the package and you can decide what you want to do for the day. Horseback riding to the mountains, hiking up the amazing trails, fishing in the river, or spending the day in the sun in Medicine Sprinsg. (Natural Hot spring) This is also fabulous after a long hike btw. The meals are delicious, the service is exceptional, the cabins are basic, yet perfect. (I have never slept better) The outhouses are modern day bathrooms with showers. For you hunters out there, I hear the Elk hunting is amazing. The scenery is breathtaking. That release of the constant need to check your phone slowly disappears. To worry of what's going on with the stock market fades away. The appreciation and gratitude for every minute in the day skyrockets. The reminder that the journey to the top of every mountain you climb is one step at a time, so enjoy each step! Then the fun began, the lady at the front insisted on selling us a roll in bed, i was like we don't need that as my reservation says we have a room that sleeps 5, she went on and on about how we could sleep 5 in 2 queen beds or rent the roll in... She was loud, agressive, denying fault even as i showed her the reservation, ended by telling us to "p... off" This is THE worst experience we have EVER had at any hotel. Hotels.com immediately refunded us for the night. Never ever stay at this place.

The staff was some of the friendliest I have ever encountered at a hotel. I only remember one as nice ever (in Missouri). Rooms were so spacious (wish every hotel was like this!). Two queen beds, a small table, a couch and double sinks outside the bathroom (so great for multiple people getting ready at the same time). It was spotless! I would guess it's a family owned business based on the care you can see that's been put into it. And breakfast...just WOW!!! Without a doubt the best hotel breakfast I have ever had! Only comparable was the hotel in Missouri! Don't pass up this little gem! You will not regret your stay here!

This is a beautiful spot. The fishing opportunities are excellent and you can't beat the Bob Marshall wilderness for hiking and horseback riding. In the 5 days of fishing, I would guess that I caught (and released) no fewer that 25 fish per day. I had a Walmart fly rid and reel and zero experience. The guide had me casting and catching fish after lunch on the first day. The provided meals are gourmet and very tasty. Best fishing experience EVER.
