One of the nicest and cleanest places we have ever stayed. We checked in for one night and enjoyed it so much we extended our stay for two more days. The staff is so friendly and they will go out of their way to help you. We especially got a lot of help from Sara. She gave us a lot of information about the local area and places to see and eat. Also helped us plan our trip to Glacier. Wish it was closer because we would stay here as often as we could. If you are traveling to Glacier this is a great place to spend the night before you go. It's only a little over an hour to the East entrance. The entire hotel is very clean and our room was spotless and clean each day when we returned. We hope to return very soon. read more

Excellent hotel on the route to Glacier. Fantastic staff, very informative with anything from local food choices to drive times in the, super clean area. Rooms are very spacious. Super clean. Breakfast is included in the rate and it was tasty. They also have a little lounge that was very lively on a Saturday evening - good spot to meet some of the locals. Terribly overpriced for where it's located. Running a skeleton crew that's burnt out and very overworked...Also there their employees who've given over a decade of service to the business get screwed for being in the hospital on life support. They voluntarily quit you ,but that's not legal so I hope he sues the nuts off these ungrateful heinous owners. Who kicked somebody when they're fighting to live...they're telling everybody his jobs waiting...but that's a damn lie...he asked for some documentation of hours...and recieved a letter that he was voluntarily quit from his position of almost 12 years...when he is the only one who can voluntarily quit his job...I will not recommend anybody stay here...If they'd do a over 11 year employee dirty...think of a guest they don't know at all. My husband and I were traveling from Yellowstone National Park to Glacier National Park and needed to stay somewhere overnight. Intrigued by the Stage Stop Inn's claim of being a diamond in the rough, combined with already-existing enthusiastic reviews, we decided to stay. My sole regret is that we were only able to stay one night. Stage Stop Inn absolutely deserves to be called a diamond in the rough. You will be treated to generously spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a delicious continental breakfast, and more. We didn't stay long enough to use any of the other amenities like the swimming pool, but I'm sure it's wonderful if the quality of our room was any indication of the level of attention that clearly goes into managing the hotel. Should we ever pass though Choteau again, the Stage Stop Inn will be our go-to for a stay of any length. read more

We stopped in this great little place on our way from Glacier and on our way to the Grand Tetons. It was a perfect stopping place to break up our drive. The room was very clean with all of the things you'd want for an overnight stay, including an indoor pool, I don't like indoor pools but this one is in a room with one wall that is glass, so you feel more like you're outside. It was reasonably priced and had a continental breakfast that was better than most. I'm a big fan of good service and this place has it. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the lady that was cleaning the rooms was very nice and invested in the quality of our stay. I say enjoy Glacier until late afternoon, drive down and get some good rest here and head to Yellowstone or the Tetons in the morning. Good Stuff! read more

Choteau is a small town and the Stage Stop Inn is a small town hotel. It's nothing fancy, the hanging light over the table and chair in the rooms reminded me of some kind of interrogation room. It's kind of a cheesy place. I was however quite pleased with it. It's extremely clean. It does have most of the amentities I would expect at a similar hotel like a La Quinta or Motel 6. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, indoor pool, breakfast and meeting rooms. Very reasonable and a cool little find. read more

The hotel is pretty, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful: Bob and Cathy spent an inordinate amount of time trying to locate a lost item the day after we left, and were very responsive. We stopped into the Saloon after dinner with friends and enjoyed our time there too. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

We found this Inn online as our daughter was playing basketball in Fairfield Montana. The Inn was clean. It was above average for the area. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had a drink at the bar on property and enjoyed the atmosphere...the rooms were average but big. We ate the free breakfast which included eggs, ham and biscuits and gravy. We paid 111.00 for two queens. We would stay there again if in the area. read more

A friend and I booked a room here last minute through Expedia while traveling from Yellowstone to Banff. It had great reviews online so we figured we'd give it a shot. When we arrived the power was out in the entire town. Even with the power out, this was one of the best non-chain hotels we have ever stayed st. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and extremely calm. She even upgraded our room because of the inconvenience. We ended up hanging out st the bar because why not. The bar tender was extremely friendly and answered all of the weird questions we had about Montana and their town. My only complaint is that we did not get to stay here Longer. read more

We stayed in room 342 it was wonderful, affordable (AARP discount) quiet, clean, comfy beds AND pillows, safe area, very friendly staff, adequate breakfast and coffee. Has a saloon/pizza place (tasteful and not noisy), VERY clean laundry with working ice and vending machines. Indoor pool and adequate parking. Don't pass this one up! read more

Large room, clean and excellent wifi and Direct TV. The big surprise is the GREAT lounge/bar they have with two very large very sharp TV's. You'd never expect the hotel even having a bar/lounge as you drive by! Front desk and bar employees were very friendly and pleasant. read more

Every time I go home I stay at this hotel. It isn't the fanciest hotel in the world but what do you expect in a small town the size of Choteau. What they lack in fanciness they certainly make up in friendliness. Everything about it says small town and that feels nice! The rooms are very clean and the rates are reasonable. Stopped here on our way to Glacier National Park, it is a very quaint place to stay and we spent a while in the Livery Saloon. The bartender, Dan was excellent, good drinks, food and local information. I would highly recommend this inn! read more

This is the best $100 you will ever spend on a hotel room. We rolled into town last week just as an early snow was happening in Glacier Park. It was cold, and we could not see the mountains. The lady at the front desk was friendly and guaranteed me that there were mountains close by. The room was great, high ceilings, best mattress ever and clean. They had a hot breakfast bar the next morning and they have a saloon on site which opens at 4pm with awesome TV's and inexpensive drinks. We spotted local ranchers at the saloon, so it must be ok. This place has it's act together, refreshing after travelling for 3 months and staying in many marginal hotels. read more

We enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very pleasant and helpful - and accommodating w/requests. It is the newest inn in town, very clean, some rooms have a balcony and chair, and there is a beautiful indoor pool. I think that maybe the hotel has been added onto - but . . . it is a nice addition - not "just stuck on" Our room had a table, microwave and little refrig. Handy when you are traveling. The town is small, but we did enjoy just driving around and up/down the streets one evening and were treated to a gorgeous sunset! We would stay here again. read more

Our car broke down 25 miles from Choteau and we had to call for a tow. The driver dropped us off at this lovely inn. We had been at the end of a 10 day road trip in which we had stayed in 6 different hotels (planned ahead of time) and this surprise visit to a place we didn't even know about turned out to be the best of the bunch. The rooms are large (the high ceilings make them seem even larger) and clean and smell really nice (which is something you don't always get at reasonably priced motels) and the complimentary breakfast is the best we've had. We've stayed at many motels - some good and some terrible, but this inn was heaps better than any similar motel. The staff was friendly and helpful and the next time we spend time in Montana we will definitely make a stay at this inn a part of the trip. read more
