I love that I didn't have to worry about dairy being in my toast or my bowl. Their menu says "plant based" and "dairy free" but they do have an option for cow's milk for their drinks. It was clean and has aluminum chairs, so if you're looking to kick back and stay a while, this may not be the best fit. I'd absolutely come back for both the crepe and the coffee. Immediately I liked the vibe-it's an edgy, totally local and co-created space with folks from the area. There is a bulletin board in the vestibule with fliers and posters about current events and services-totally haphazard and chaotic. Inside, there's art all over the place, unique decor and a calendar of events that look to be different support groups that meet here. How cool. This isn't a polished, bougie or uptight place. This is for real folks with real personalities and a bit of grit. And I like it. The coffee's pretty good too. ;-)

It looks like an old house, repurposed into a coffee shop. Inside, however, it's one large space with tons of seating. If it ever was a house, it ent through some major renovations Service was friendly, welcoming and quick. I asked the barista for her favorite drink, which ended up being The Poly. It was delicious and probably not something I would have ordered without the encouragement. Their food is great for takeout, but if you want a table, the restaurant is tiny, with only one table large enough to accommodate a big group. They do take reservations and welcome pre-ordering dishes that take longer like clay pot rice, duck, or whole fish. We enjoyed a wonderful Chinese New Year dinner with my MIL and were grateful to have a reservation.
