Vanilla latte with almond milk

I do not go to this stand as often as other stands such a Gravity or BFJ. I cannot apologize for how a barista made me feel by serving other cars she knew before me. I will definitely not be going back to this stand if it was the last stand in business the owner is rude! I leave plenty of 5 star ratings. If service is not up to par why should I be dishonest... I should not. I drove away feeling very sad after my treatment, free coffee would not make it better. The last coffee establishment owned up to their mistake of giving the wrong drink and food. Not my fault. I let my review stand as is, that was my experience and I just learned that I am better off making my coffee at home or going elsewhere where I have good and kind service! Today was a challenging day, I visted 1/06/2021 at around 12:30pm. Came on in and around to the side by the road. Car in front of me. After they left I drove up, asked what I wanted. I indicated, the car on other side changed out to a woman who kept looking my way. I then noticed this woman was handed the clipboard to pay and got her drink before me but arrived at the window after me.. The barista want to say her name was Kea (receipt said this) knew her and perhaps... she drove off and barista came back to verify my drink... man drives up on other window.. barista is solo she has his drink already and addresses him by his name stating she saw him. She hands me my drink and then she gives him his drink. I felt very unimportant today visiting this stand. A guest is a guest regardless of my frequency. Yes I get a regular is wonderful but do not diminish my visit and treat me less. My drink did not even taste that great and my experience was horrible! I drove away wishing I had not come, I felt even worse than I already was. I am unemployed and this was a splurge that I now regret having wasted coming to this stand to be treated less than welcome because I am not a daily regular.

This is the best coffee stand in the area. Consistently exceed my expectations and I was a sbux barista for 10 years. The morning crew is fabulous and learn your name. I love the point system. My favorite is the vanilla chai latte or the pumpkin vanilla chai latte- they use a mix which is phenomenal! My other go to is an americano and they always offer to add ice to cool it a bit. Great service, I can't say enough good things! Sometimes in the afternoon the milk is not aerated properly and can taste less creamy in the drink, but otherwise the afternoon crew is awesome, too!

The best coffee in the area by far! So rich in flavor, I tried the decaf latte and it's still so full bodied! The baristas are sweet and welcoming, Wednesday's they have fresh made Belgian waffles and I got one one the house to try, I don't even like waffles but these were AMAZING! My daughter got a strawberry steamer, they made it perfect temperature. I hate steamers because they taste so milky and artificial but this actually tastes good!

LOVE this little drive-thru coffee hut. Their name has changed several times in the last couple of years: Maristas, Aroma Espresso, maybe some other name, and now The Coffee Bear. They stamp my coffee card with little heart-shape hole punchers. (Photo uploaded) My 11th drink is free. :) Actually, my 11th latte with raw sugar is free:))) Their coffee cards are adorable. It's caffeine HH from 11-3 PM if you can swing by. My only wish is that they make it an awesome study spot, but that would mean a huge tear-down and no Coffee Bear for a long while. I would suffer CB withdrawal, so I have to settle for loving CB the way it is: minimal and heavenly. CB makes the best coffee ever! My canine cheetah patiently hangs out in the backseat to get biscuits from the cute baristas here. :)

My scone was flaky and light, not overly dense and had just the right amount of icing. They have a nice selection of baked goods as well as some deli items if you're looking for a meal. The atmosphere was really cool- the coffee shop has two other buildings to choose from to enjoy your coffee and conversations. Inside the main building, there's a fireplace and garage doors that can open up to flow into the outdoor seating area. One of the other buildings actually has an encased "treehouse" you can choose to use (so cool!!!). The service was attentive, and the employees were really friendly and helpful. This was our first time visiting the Ebony and Ivory Coffee location in Federal Way. The cafe is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance and environment of this location is worth visiting again. I was ordering drinks and food for three people. Our order consisted of the Dreamgirl Matcha, Tidalwave Latte, Northwest Tea, two Sunrise Breakfast Wrap, and a Turkey Bacon Croissant. This ended up being quite expensive...A lot more expensive than I expected, which is unfortunate because I now realized that none of the items on their menus list a price. As much as we enjoyed the food and drinks here, we felt wronged realizing we had no idea the cost of anything before it got rung up. The staff members taking care of our orders were really sweet though and helpful. They made sure we had all the items we needed before we left the cafe; napkins, straws, and drink holder.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #117…read more We visited Onit Cafe on a rainy Saturday afternoon in June, hoping to score an after lunch boba. Sprinting through the downpour, as we hadn't expected the rain, we threw ourselves into this modern, yet industrial shop, where we saw a couple of people sitting inside like us to wait out the rain. We placed our order with the friendly bobarista and got our drink within a couple of minutes. Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea has a heavy powdery creamer flavor, but it's not gritty or silty at all. Unfortunately it's so heavy that the drink tastes almost entirely like creamer with only a tiny bit of flowery finish. It's not the most pleasant flavor due to this quality. While the creamer is on the heavier end, the sweetness is not; at half sweet it's not too sweet. The boba is very good, super bouncy and chewy with basically the ideal texture. They aren't marinated that long so aren't quite that sweet or flavorful. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Onit Cafe is one of those rare places where I liked the boba far more than the drink. I don't visit Federal Way too often, but if I'm even down there again, I'd give it another shot to see if I can get a better drink next time. My boyfriend and I had a long day planned ahead of us. So, we decided a fix of caffeine to start our day. I ordered the Hojicha Latte, and my boyfriend ordered the Affogato (vanilla soft serve with two shots of espresso). This was his first time ever ordering an affogato. After I questioned his choice of having ice cream for breakfast, he still went for the drink. He was surprised there was more soft serve ice cream than coffee, but I knew this would be the case. Nonetheless, he actually enjoyed it and has now incorporated making affogatos at home pretty regularly. The cafe is cute and has a nice selection of different drinks to order from coffees, teas, and matchas. There are also sweet treats like bingsu and croffles!

I'm generally a latte person, so I went with the Matcha Pandan, and I thought it was pretty good! Most of my family was specifically craving ice cream, though, so they went for the soft serve. They have a few different drinks and desserts to choose from, making it a convenient place when everyone wants something a little different. My biggest gripe is the space (really, the lack thereof). We were a party of seven, and Cafe Seoul is extremely small and cramped inside. Seating is very limited, and we couldn't really sit together until some people left and others were kind enough to share or give up chairs. There were also a few students hanging out when we visited, so I definitely wouldn't count on this being a comfortable sit-down spot if you're coming with a larger group. The layout doesn't help much either. The menu and some of the seating are awkwardly positioned near the bathroom, and at certain points you're basically squeezing past people just to get around. For a quick drink or dessert, it's manageable, but I wouldn't personally choose this as somewhere to settle in and hang out for a long time with a big party. If you manage to snag enough seats, consider yourself lucky. Service was okay. It took a while for everyone's orders to come out, and unfortunately one of ours was completely missed. We eventually realized it hadn't even been included in the original transaction, so we had to go back up and pay for it separately. Nothing that ruined the night, but between that and the wait, service wasn't necessarily a highlight either. Cafe Seoul gets the job done and meets standard expectations. My Matcha Pandan was tasty, my family got their late-night soft serve fix, and being open later than your average coffee shop is a bonus. I wouldn't go significantly out of my way for it, but if I'm ever back in Federal Way and craving a late-night latte or dessert, I'd consider stopping by again.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #115…read more This is one of three Sunright Tea Studio locations in King County and is by far the largest in terms of size. It's the only one that has actual seating and tables, which makes it a much better location to relax in and slowly sip on drinks. We visited on the way down to Portland, hoping to get a caffeine pick-me-up before the long rush-hour fueled traffic on the way down. This location has two kiosks for easy ordering, although in less busy times, the bobaristas are happy to take orders and answer questions. Fragrant really condensed milk and extra cane sugar for sweetness. Slight fruit essence. regular ice on a hot day almost all gone within five minutes. About 3:1 ratio tea to milk Boba great soft yet really chewy and bouncy. Compresses soft layer on outside. Fragrant Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Regular Ice, House Milk w/ Brown Sugar Boba ($7.25) - As the name implies, this drink really is quite fragrant, with the somewhat fruity and floral taste that is similar to an osmanthus oolong. It's rich from the addition of condensed milk - in fact, this drink seems to have more dairy in it compared to most boba shops. Watching the bobarista assemble the drink, I saw perhaps a third of the cup filled with milk and condensed milk before adding the tea. I ordered the drink with regular ice and it wasn't nearly enough to survive the hot day - within 5 minutes of pulling out, all the ice was gone. The boba is great. It's soft yet really chewy and bouncy. There's a compressible soft layer right on top that's pleasing on the tongue. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 This Sunright Tea Studio is consistent with the other two locations in the county, serving some really great drinks. I don't come down to Federal Way often, but this would be my choice for boba for any future trips that far down south. Bathrooms - Single unisex room
