The town is absolutely charming but what caught my attention was Sierra Chef. We made our way to the door and I was immediately in heaven as we entered the building. The store was filled with amazing Italian food items including pastas, sauces, and cheeses. There were chef prepared dinners for you to order to take home. Italian pastries and gelato tempted us. I gave in and ordered a pistachio gelato which was divine. My husband ordered a cookie and espresso which he said was perfectly prepared. I wish we would have had more time at Sierra Chef because we would have ordered more food items to try. The next time we are in the area, we will be making a stop to pick up some tasty treats!

The minute we walked inside the smell of baked pastries, cookies, and sweet & savory treats permeated the store. Ahhhh... Sierra Chef also offers cooking classes for adults and children in their commercial kitchen. Saw a few ladies behind the counter taking the class and having fun at the same time while I perused through the items offered... some fun handcrafted kitchen items laid out on the back table. We were just looking for dessert since we already had brunch across the street at the Flutter & Buzz Cafe. I asked for gelato and chose dark chocolate flavor. Waited while the employee went towards the back to scoop our ice creams. I had no idea how huge the servings were when she handed the cups to me. I should've just asked for one cup to share. This is my second visit and I don't recall the store being this disorganized. I was looking for Christmas fabric and found a little bit in different rooms. Not a large selection. Spoke to the owner on my way out who stated they just returned from a trade show and hadn't unpacked yet. She mentioned on Wednesday afternoons, between 4-6, they go on their Facebook page and display 150 different fabrics that you may order online. To date, I haven't had the opportunity to do so. They also offer classes at a reasonable price. So when I first started doing the sailing charter thing, I went for the quick, easy low hanging…read moreinstant gratification fruit and ordered my first business cards online from VistaPrint. They were pretty good, and cost me a little over $60- for 250 cards. When they ran out I finally did the smart thing and went to my friend Russell Hicks, who has been in the printing business for well over 30 years, which frankly is what I should have done to begin with. I just got my order. The turn around was every bit as fast as VistaPrint (faster, actually), the cards much nicer thanks in no small part to Russ's personal attention and expertise, and - get this - I got 1,000 cards for LESS than $60-! So I got 4X the cards, which were nicer and higher quality, for LESS money than I paid to VistaPrint! Lesson learned. Thank you Russ; and if anyone needs any kind of printing done you should call, email, send a message by carrier pigeon, or stop by and talk to Russ at Sandell's Printing; it's not often that the pros are way cheaper than the hacks, you'll be glad you did.
