This used to be a very small and limited supermarket but now that the refurbishment has been…read morefinished it is a much better lay out of the store. They seem to have a lot more variety and seems to be better stocked much more like a larger supermarket. It doesn't carry the clothing range, but otherwise it is very good. They stock some of the less popular magazines etc and their baking section is excellent. The check out process also seems to be a lot more efficient now too. It is very handy to be able to pop in if you are in town.

Open 24 hours a day Mon - Sat and open on Sunday. If you love Tescos this is well laid out, bright and carries all stock ranges. There is now an ordering point for Tesco Direct and a new cafe run by Costa Coffee. Parking is a bit of a mare as it is always busy. Allow a bit of a walk. On site petrol station.

Set on the northern outskirts of Northampton in Kingsthorpe this Waitrose was redeveloped a few years. It's now a great size with lovely wide isles for you to potter about in. The food, as you would expect, is good quality. It stocks everything you would want to see. It has a good in store deli, bakery and fishmongers. There is also a cafe where you can get lovely, if expensive food. The loos are good too. If you're an account holder you can scan your trolley as you go around and then pay at a separate point. Your kids will love the tiny trolleys they can push around. They'll also love to do the weighing of the food and veg for you! There's a big car park and you can park for a few hours to shop at the other stores around Kingsthorpe. There are plenty of bargain shops around to balance yout spending after a blow out here!
