A quaint and legit traditional Irish pub that I literally stumbled into. Walking in, the St Stephens day crowd gave me a look like a white boy entering a Compton bar. There's a wide variety of beers on tap and a fully licensed bar. What got me a seat was they serve Beamish stout in addition to that overrated "G" stuff. Unfortunately, they also have the horrible US beers that even Americans are stopping drinking because they're so foul. Here we are in beer paradise and it's sad to see Coors and buttwiper on tap along side such obscure classics as Beamish and Watchtower.
The setting, ambiance and the men chatting on the horse races, some speaking Irish (not Gaelic) is the true Irish experience. No other foreigners here- thank God! read more
