I was going to Body Tune in Layton Utah for several months as my doctor referred me from the VA…read more Now I have been experiencing a large amount of pain in my right should as was receiving dry needling from a great gal Aja, who has relieved a lot of pain, but it is persistent. The treatment is in a contract from the VA for 6 sessions, that has a stop date and then if needed they need to resubmit for more if needed. After my last session I talked to them about this, and they said on my last appointment which was supposed to be tomorrow 8/26 they would go and submit for more services. I get a call today on the 25 telling me my services ended on the 18th of the month. do I want to cancel? I am so ticked off as I would have scheduled my appointments accordingly. This is so inept regarding the person submitting the request to the VA, as well as managing the time frame on the appointments as I am in pain all day, and night. No one at the scheduling desk knew about the end date, and neither did I. This is how this place takes care of the veterans who are in pain. I will let my referring doctor know, as well as community services. The person who takes care of the billing and submits the treatment request to the VA virtually screwed me over. I will also be calling the VA outpatient services department to make a formal complaint.

Brett told me that I needed a spine specialist, and that "If Rob Black can't fix your back with physical therapy, then your back cannot be fixed with physical therapy". I took him at his word, and Rob worked with me to find the right mixture of stretches and exercises that have significantly improved my back and mobility. We even have started playing balloon volleyball in the memory care unit and the residents just love it!! One thing that is really cool to see is their point system, the residents get points for participating in activities, then once a month they have a point store where the residents can pick their favorite items from a "store" and spend their points! It is a big hit with the residents and it seems like they have a lot of fun. Sopa really does make an effort into putting things together for the residents. I would trust my family with this place, they would never be bored!

If you care about your loved one, I highly suggest that this facility be removed from your list of nursing facilities. Don't take my word for it. Go check it out and more than once. Make sure to check out all the different wings of the building. If you do choose this facility, know that your loved one may or may not be fed for every meal, he/she may not be bathed often, his/her clothes and other personal items will turn up missing (no one will care) and he/she might be getting sick quite often from the lack of poor nutrition, appropriate medical care and proper hygiene. There have been some good people there, but they don't stay because in the best terms, it is awful.

My team at Wasatch Physical Therapy was amazing! I started…read morewith Danielle for pelvic floor therapy upon the recommendation of my OBGYN. After just a few sessions life was better. A few month later I had ankle surgery and choose to return to WPT. Tyler, Jacob and especially Danielle worked with me for 30 sessions helping break down really think scar tissue and helped rebuild the strength I needed. During one session Danielle told me they started Pediatric pelvic floor therapy, as we discussed it further I decided to bring my daughter in to help with constipation, bladder leaks and bed wetting. Her first intake appointment was with Tyler. I thought she might be uncomfortable discussing her issues with a man. Tyler was very professional. Our favorite thing we learned was the "proper potty" technique that helped with the constipation and within a few sessions her bladder was a nice rectangle on the ultra sound and the leaks were gone. As for the bed writing after 3 months of therapy we have gone from changing sheets every night to maybe once a month. She will continue with the exercises and breathing techniques Danielle taught her to continue to improve. I would certainly recommend WPT.

They have a new check in system that I like. The people have always been nice and helpful. I have also heard them with other clients and they are always trying to educate people on what they can do for them and what the insurance companies provide as a part of their coverage. I will be back if I need any supplies.
