For $40 an hour, you would expect a house fit for the cover of Sunset Magazine but instead they only did 1/10 of the tasks I had asked of them. That means that of my very short list of things I wanted done, almost none of them were completed and the ones that were done were done incredibly poorly. They sent out a second person to "redo" the job a week later and she did a slightly better job but could not complete all of the tasks on the original list because they only sent her for two hours. Look elsewhere for your cleaning needs. This place is a joke. read more

I'm glad the manager came before the crew started as the estimate was significantly less once she saw the condition of my home. Karen was my initial contact. She returned my call promptly. I was in over my head in addressing the less-than-desirable living conditions of a family member. Basically, I had to turn an uninhabitable home into a habitable one, all alone, on a tight schedule. Karen immediately sent Deborah out to my rather remote location. She was kind, intelligent, professional, non-judgmental and thorough. The responsiveness was professional, the cleaning was professional, and the billing was professional. All I can say to the naysayers is that you get what you pay for. For someone to come into a run-down situation, be self-directed, energetic and completely attentive to detail, $40/hr is a bargain. Seriously, do you want a wipe down and a brush with a broom? Go elsewhere. If you want a deeply cleaned, sparkly home, use the Crew. The cleaning was great! What was terrible was the deceptive pricing. They charge "$40 per hour". We wanted a "deep clean" and were told that it would cost upwards of $400 if a cleaning lasted 12 hours. My wife told them that there was no way that it would take 12 hours to clean our three bedroom, two bathroom apartment. There was a team of five people who cleaned for 2.5 hours. We left at the beginning of the cleaning and, when we got back 2.5 hours later, gave each person a $20 tip for the hard work they'd done. Then, the manager told us the cost was $430. My wife asked, "Wasn't it just supposed to be $40 per hour?" The manager replied, "It's $40 per hour PER PERSON." When she saw that we were surprised she said ambivalently, as though it happens all the time, "Oh, they didn't tell you how it works?" No apology or anything. She accepted the tip knowing that we'd probably been screwed anyway. By the way, when we got back, two people had left, so we really don't know if those two were even there the whole time. I can't complain about the cleaning, which really was a deep clean. And two of the staff were really, really nice. What wasn't nice was the fact that we'd somehow spent $530 on a cleaning that would typically cost half that price, that the manager seemed to know that this was the way it worked, and she allowed us to tip $100 before she was about to screw us. This is a scam. They advertise on Yelp to get at the top of the search results and then charge you excessively for one cleaning knowing that you'll never go back to them again. Also, if you check my previous reviews for various services, you'll see that all of them are positive and overwhelmingly so. I give The Cleaning Crew a 0, but I have to put something. I hired them to do a move out clean, I ended up cleaning my moms house for 2 1/2 hrs. 2 days after they were there. Please keep in mind, NO ONE was in the house after them. From the pictures I took, non of the bedroom closets were taken care of, my mom's bedroom was NOT vacuumed. The bathroom floor was sticky, and the cobwebs in the loft area were still there. I have called them twice to discuss this with no return call. They are going to be charging me $900.00 + $250.00 (the window cleaners who didn't even clean the garage door windows) for this "Cleaning" job. I was also NOT informed of the damage that was done. If you value a clean house that you can put on the market and your possession, do NOT hire these people. VERY unprofessional and VERY sloppy work. read more

They did not honor their bid and charged $75 more than what I was told was "the most it would be." They spent an inconceivable 12 or more hours cleaning a 1000 sq ft house that had only been lived in a few months. The cleaning was thorough but I feel very ripped off. Very disappointing. I REALLY wanted to like The Cleaning Crew. I went back to them several times - for monthly cleans in two homes, and for a move-out service. While their employees/contractors are nice and hard working, they do not seem trained or at least are not detail oriented. I would hope the professionals would clean better than I am able, but this is not the case with the CC. They are generally not very thorough, I've even had them miss entire rooms before! You'll pay top-dollar for a mediocre clean with these guys. read more

The initial clean was very good, however each subsequent clean was less and less thorough. The price I was charged constantly changed, never got the same answer twice from anyone in the office, including the "office manager", and the last scheduled clean no one even showed up. read more
