I have discussed my problems with this company's managers on numerous occasions before going to Yelp. They had the opportunity to do the right thing but they didn't. They gave me a bare minimum refund but didn't do what was promised. I asked for specific things NOT to do, but they ignored that and did it any way. It was supposed to be a "deep" clean, but my 12 year old granddaughter could have done better. They disabled a motion detector in my closet, unplugged a floor lamp causing me to get on hands and knees and crawl under a desk to replug, damaged an antique table with some sort of chemical, and the most egregious thing was leaving my front door unlocked after I instructed them to do so. They actually made more work for me to do instead of making life a bit easier. Sorry I can't give it less than one star. read more

Wow. Just horrible. Originally scheduled to be home for an estimate at my house last week and more than an hour after they were scheduled to arrive, I receive a text saying the estimator will arrive in 15 minutes. Didn't bother to let me know ahead of time. I called the office and cancelled and told them I'm no longer interested. Took the day off to be here for them. Not texting ahead of time if running late is a big deal breaker for me. They reached back out to me and said they were very sorry and they also would like to offer me a discount if I rescheduled the appt. So I did. Here I am, took another day off, and they didn't show. Called the office and they said they're sorry. I told them not to bother offering to reschedule. Bad business to show up late without telling the customer. read more

My husband was sweet enough to hire someone to come clean our house. Well $160 and $20 for tip later I noticed that the deep cleaning on my kitchen was not so clean. Do not use this service! They are terrible! They broke the handle to my tub and took over two weeks to have it fixed. Then, somehow, they managed to rip the shower head out of my wall. They refused to fix it and I ended up replacing it myself after repeatedly asking them to fix it for over a month. Their customer service it horrendous. Melanie kept trying to claim that they were "waiting to hear from Moen about a warranty" so that their company would not have to pay for another shower head. I called headquarters of the company and asked to speak with the owners and they never returned my phone call. Also, they left my windows open in unoccupied guest rooms and my power bill was almost $300 (normally, it's $130 or less). They should be put out of business! All they want is your money. They have no concern about your property nor your satisfaction with their services. read more

I have been using this house cleaning service for the past two years and, overall, have been pleased. In the instances where I have felt something was not up to par, I let the owner know and it was corrected immediately. My service is scheduled bi-weekly on Fridays and the fee is reasonable. They are good about accommodating requests to come at a certain time if I have the day off and want to coordinate the cleaning around my schedule. Much appreciated! I came home to dirty dishes on the counter, dishes that were on the counter, dust all over the mantle, and crumbs from the counter swept into my dog's food bowls. Furthermore, they tried to leave without cleaning an entire floor in my house and my husband had to stop them from leaving to clean it. If I wanted my house covered in dust and dirty dishes, I would've cleaned it myself. When I contacted the manager, he just apologized, no refund offered or anything. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

The owner came out to give us our quote and I explained to her that we'd never had a cleaning service because I'm a little weird about people in the house when I'm not home and I'm fairly OCD about locking doors (thanks Dad and New Jersey). I showed her the keypad deadbolts and had her pick a code that I could set for the crew. We were signed up and ready for our first cleaning. The Cleaning Authority, like most other companies, charges a higher fee for the initial cleaning to establish some sort of "clean baseline" which makes sense. "Initial Clean A" is a standard cleaning of the entire house with a heavy concentration on the kitchen and bathrooms: tile, grout, counters, etc. "Initial Clean B" is a standard cleaning of the entire house with a concentration on living areas: vacuum stairs, wipe baseboards, etc. In my house the Initial cleans were $55 more than the standard cleanings. I was notified the week before the first cleaning and I replied to the email stating that if there were any problems unlocking or locking the door to just call my cell. I ended up taking the day off and meeting the crew that cleaned my house the first time. I let them in, showed them around, and promptly left. I didn't want to hover. What a wonderful job they did! The house shined in ways I could never accomplish. 2 weeks later I received another email informing me when the cleaners were coming and I responded the same way: any problems with the locks just give me a call. When I got home I found my front door unlocked and the house not as clean as it should have been: baseboards dirty, stairs not vacuumed, etc. The cleaning job looked rushed and I sent them an email to call me the next day to discuss it. I talked to Rosa and she offered me $50 off my next cleaning. I told her I would let her know because I wasn't sure I would use them again since they left my home unlocked and not well cleaned. After a week of calming down I sent her an email explaining that I was willing to give them another shot if: A) the crew that didn't clean my house didn't come back, and B) I got the deep cleaning that I paid extra for. If those terms were unacceptable then I asked for a $55 refund, the difference between the extra cleaning I paid for and the standard cleaning that I got. I never heard back until the following Monday when she emailed to ask me if the door code still worked because the cleaners couldn't get in the house. I didn't even know they were coming. After a little phone tag I talked to the owner on August 31 and explained that we were cancelling our service but I still wanted the $55 refund. She readily agreed to send me a check for the refund and we haven't heard a thing since. After the first cleaning we told our friends what a wonderful job they did and that we were happy with our choice. After the second "cleaning", communication problems, and still no refund I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

My partner and I chose this company to clean our home and while the employees were nice, we were disappointed in the results. For example, they would clean around things on the floor instead of picking them up to clean under them like most normal people do. Nonetheless, we decided we would cancel the second appointment that they automatically made for us (yes, no input from us). I emailed to cancel 13 days in advance of the second cleaning and was told I would have to pay a cancellation fee. I can understand paying this if we cancelled last minute, but 13 days in advance?! That is unreasonable so with that and the house not being as clean as we would like after it was professionally cleaned by this company, I will have to give them 1 star. My grandfather who lives in Mcdonough and uses the branch down there has had nothing but positive things to say about his experience. Yesterday they broke our sink as well as generally poor service in certain rooms. No note left by crew as they normal do. An email was sent last night. No call back to us in response to email by 11 am so a call was placed. It took until nearly 2:30pm for someone to call me. I called this company, signed a contract and established a first time appointment that I called in to have rescheduled since I was leaving out of town the next day and had a ton of appointments I errans to complete. Not only did they not call to confirm the day I desired to have rescheduled, they did not show up or leave a door hanger. I called the company three times only to have my calls not returned and when I call the 800 number I am told I will be sent an email instead of a return call for my concern. I was told in an email that I found in 'junk mail' that they showed up but that I wasnt there and that I would no longer be on the schedule?! I have never seen such poor customer service! I was home but evidently no one showed up or I didnt hear the door bell but I never received a call, text or anything to let me know they were at the door or that they were coming. read more

DO NOT USE!!! On the third visit, they stole my diamond earrings, pearl and diamond pendant necklace, my husband's gold necklace and his silver necklace, as well as a Redbox DVD rental. Originally, the Owner (Rich) was very nice and helpful but when we brought this to his attention he had no intentions of helping us. We don't have receipts for the jewelry since the majority were gifts from years ago. We were basically told there is nothing they can do and the women will still work for him. We were not offered any kind of compensation or apology. As far as the cleaning itself, they only clean one room per visit and then do a light dusting of the remaining. I was looking forward to having my house cleaned by Tina Patel's team at The Cleaning Authority. Alas, my husband and I were deeply disappointed. The main factor for us was date/timeliness of the crew coming to our home. We were assured a certain window; I would call a day or two before the scheduled service in order to confirm and each time was assured and promised the specific time. Yet, they were not telling the truth and would arrive up to two hours later. Also, the cleaning was meh, at best. They do not polish furniture and I would have to polish it myself after they left (what the heck were we paying them for !!) and there was mold still in one of the bathrooms even though we called it to their attention after they had "cleaned" it. We sprayed some mold remover, wiped and the mold was gone, so if we could do it, they could do it. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience with Tina Patel's franchise of The Cleaning Authority. We used this service for a year and were originally very satisfied with the results. But turnover was constant, and quality quickly diminished. I had a conversation with the owner, who was quick to make things right...for a little while. Unfortunately, the complete disregard for our things became unbearable. Much of our new furniture and construction has been chipped, dinged and marked substantially since we began with their service. After they took a giant chunk out of our wooden bed, we'd had enough. I never do reviews but in this case I'm happy to. I've been using TCA for almost a year now and they are the best cleaning service I've ever had. They are reliable and always do a very thorough job. They do a great job of removing all the dog hair from my 3 dogs from our floors and furniture. I've been a TCA client for over 3 years. Their two or three person teams are professional and thorough. Plus, they're bonded / insured. I particularly like the TCA rotation model - they clean the entire house but pay extra attention to one particular area each visit (e.g., bath, kitchen). There's definitely a consistency to the teams and they quickly learned our preferences and idiosyncrasies. We had tried individual maids previously, but there always seemed to be periodic issues / vacations / gaps in service. Using a service like TCA assures that someone is going to be here every scheduled time - I've never had a missed appointment. Also, TCA has quickly rescheduled us if we're on vacation, need an additional touch-up before or after a party, etc. I work from home and can attest that the teams focus on the job; even when they visit on a day I'm not home, the work is up to the same quality. Rich, the owner / manager, takes an active role too by randomly visiting a home during the clean. All of the teams give a 4 star clean and some even earn that fifth star by going above and beyond. * * * * plus an extra * for flexibility and peace of mind. read more

I have been using the Cleaning Authority for about 10 months now and am very pleased with the service. I have Weekly service and they save me from having to run around and ruin my weekend by cleaning the house. If there is a problem, the supervisor or owner are right on the problem and will fix it that day or make sure the next time- that things have changed so that it does not happen again. No one is perfect and no one can do it to your specifications, but yourself. However, I am very pleased- as they are on time, and they do what I have paid for in my house. After being paranoid about having a stranger in my home cleaning I decided to give The Cleaning Authority a try. I was always afraid of a cleaning crew either breaking something or even stealing from me. I let my guard down and gave TCA a try. The first day out to clean my home was event free at least so I thought. After checking my bank account online I discovered a check had been written in NJ and it was not by me. After further investigation, a check had been pulled out of my box of checks in my top dresser drawer. This check was pulled from the very back. In essence, someone had to go into my top drawer, pull the box of replacement checks out and pull one from the back. Pretty scary and I was in the house the entire time. It was about a week later, after they had cleaned my house, when I discovered that the check had been forged. I immediately called TCA and notified the manager. She then told me that both ladies that had cleaned my home were no longer with the company. Hmmmm! Dah! She offered her apologies, never made mention of a refund or any compensation. Needless to say...they were not used again and the investigation was turned over to my bank. I'm not accusing but all fingers point in that direction... read more

Terrible experience with this company. I paid a lot of money for the initial cleanings which were never done properly. They give you a checklist but then do not clean all the areas listed and don't fix the problems when pointed out. In particular, the stove, baseboards, and bathroom fixtures were never fully cleaned - some areas not cleaned at all, ever. After two subsequent cleanings I was still having issues - especially in the bathrooms. I noticed a lot of mold and mildew which never occurred with my previous cleaner. I asked about this and was told they do not normally use cleaning products with bleach, but if I wanted to leave some out for them they would be happy to use them. That week I left out four cleaners - including TWO bottles of Tilex - and none of them were used. I came home to find the same mildew I left. I thoroughly cleaned the bathrooms wondering what I was paying for. I reached out to Tina, the owner, three times with zero response. It seems they just want to get that up-front money and then ditch you when any issues arise. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I told the "inspector" when she arrived before they left the property. We took a photo of the damage to a jacuzzie bathtub before the cleaners left the premises and still they were not accountable. I have used the C.A. for over 3 years. I had tried several other cleaning services before CA and felt that the price I paid did not justify the quality of the cleaning. I found the CA to do a much better job and the price of the cleaning is fair for the service provided. As mentioned in other reviews, if there is something the cleaners miss or you are not happy with, the owner is very prompt to respond and rectify the situation. Recently started working with the Atlanta office of The Cleaning Authority and have to say I let them go after just 2 months. I called the owner of the company after their last visit to let her know of some issues with the service and rather than have the crew come back (we were not going to be home to let them in) I agreed to have the inspector come the next morning. The owner called to let me know the inspector would not be there during the scheduled time and could she come later. The owner asked me for specific problems as I was explaining the problems to her, rather than listen and help she just kept arguing and debating the problems. Their policy of not picking things up is very literal - they would not even pick up a item of clothing under one of my sons beds - rather just skipped vacuuming under the bed entirely. read more
