What a fun time we had. This was great family fun time. Essentially, we called ahead of time to make a reservation so we could all be seared. We were a party of 9. Immediately, we were seated and they gave us our instructions. We selected a piece of pottery we wanted to paint. My wife and I chose bowls, then we were given a selection of paint colors to paint our bowls. After a few coats of paints, our job was done. We then proceeded to pay and in about a week we will pick up our works. It was a real fun time. The staff were very helpful. Everything was well organized and fun. Everyone had a blast. This is such a fun place! I went here to have a pottery paint night. Although I never had a pottery night and didn't know what it would be like, The Clay Date exceeded my expectations. The workers were so helpful. They gave clear directions on the entire process, explained how to paint the pottery, and were always around to answer any questions that I had. There is an assortment of pre-made pottery that you can choose to paint. Everything was very cute, but I settled on a clay chihuahua. You are provided paint brushes, paints, and a water bowl. Once you decide what color paints you want for your artwork from a provided palette, you can grab the paints. It was such a relaxing experience. I was able to converse with others while I painted. I will definitely come back again - this is a great spot for a date! Once you're done painting, they will bake the pottery piece for you and you are able to pick up your masterpiece in a week. read more

What I love about the Clay Date is that they offer more than just pottery painting. They are one of the only places I could find in the area that does a throwing class, and they'll do it as a one-off, so you can get a feel as to whether it's something you'll be into before investing in a series of classes. Three of my friends and I did sign-up for the One-Time Pottery class, and our instructor, a younger blonde woman who's name I forgot to write down, did an excellent job of helping us fumble our way through to making a couple of decent items. Later, when we came back to paint, there was no limit on painting time - something not all painting studios offer. We enjoyed it so much that at least 2 of us will be signing up for the Adult 6 Week Pottery Wheel Class. We also saw some samples of glass fusing projects and candle creations that looked pretty neat so chances are we will be back to try that out as well! read more

Im so sad about this review My husband and I found this place online and planned a date day to come be creative!! The business itself seems wonderful so this is more of feedback. As soon as we walked in the smell of artificial perfume was incredibly overwhelming. My husband and I walked around to see what crafts were available and I started to get a migraine while my husbands eyes started to water and his allergies began to act up. This doesn't happen to us while we are out and about..we noticed that parts of the ceiling are moldy and caving in. This is likely a land lord issue but it's about to be a health department issue when one of the caving spots falls through and mold spores and God knows what else end up all over/possibly on customers or employees. We can't tell if it was the water damage/ mold that was causing such a physical reaction in us or if it was the strength of the perfume in the studio or both, but needless to stay we unfortunately couldn't stay to play. We definitely wanted to! As I said, the craft options and the layout of the business seems awesome! The locations health hazard of mold and strong artificial scents is what made us leave within five minutes. read more

This place was so much fun! They have a nice collection of ceramic pottery to paint. This studio has a very large open layout with tons of tables so that all guest can be a bit spread out and not stuck onto each other. The staff here are very involved and easy to get a hold of to ask questions or just for some assistance. They are comfortable with toddlers and encourage their creative style, which is a plus. I will definitely be back and 100% will recommend this place for a fun activity. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to peak at the coffee shop but when the kids were washing their hands at the kids sink I saw the seating area for the cafe and it looked really cozy. read more

Delightful spot! The folks who work here are all clay enthusiasts -- knowledgeable as well as excited. It seems to be a pleasurable and enriching experience for all ages -- I've seen folks 6 to 96 enthralled in the process. I've also seen couples making real progress getting to know each other on the date-night classes: Just be sure that if this is a surprise event for your date that they know it will be wet and messy. The classes are solid: My husband and I enjoyed taking the wheel throwing classes together -- the pacing was good, the techniques clearly conveyed and practiced, and the instructors used the right blend of structure and flexibility. We were complete novices and not particularly deft or handy, but with a little persistence we were making bowls and pots we are happy to have around the house. We liked it so much that we have become members and work regularly in the studio. I have not eaten here, so cannot comment on that. read more

Lost my pieces and never apologized. Blamed me and said I didn't come in time when I definitely did. It especially wasn't true since I had to keep calling them bc they never called me to tell me my piece was ready. And when they did say it was ready, I came the very next day and they couldn't find it. Spoke to the owner after it happened a second time. I went the next day and again couldn't find the piece I spun on the wheel. Again, didn't apologize but blamed me. The Clay Date Cafe just started serving crepes in addition to the coffee, tea, ice cream menu. There are sweet or savory crepes or build your own. The ingredients are all very fresh and delicious. We enjoyed meeting up with friends and trying the S'mores and Parisian (ham, Brie and jam). Comfy atmosphere for a lite snack or whole meal. We popped in today to sample the crepe menu and OMG they are so, so good. Both my daughter and I had gluten free, dairy free crepes - hers with nutella and powdered sugar and mine with fresh blueberries and lemon curd. The batter is handmade with TLC.
