After a mix up with the payment method, I called customer service, who then assured me that the entire $40 late fee had been waived and I was left with a balance of $0 after paying off my card. Imagine my surprise when I opened a subsequent statement and there was a balance for the late fee and late fees for the late fee! What??? So I called CS again who at first told me there was nothing they could do, but then later in the call told me they could waive only $15 of the $31 fee. I said fine, I would like to pay that off now. Oh wait, they said, it is a $9 fee to pay it over the phone. Hold my beer while I pay it online I said. So I pay the new fee online, but the credit won't show for three days, and I tell them to cancel my card. She says she cancelled it but I see no confirmation of that in the account and she refuses to send me a confirmation email. Protocol, she says, is I have to just believe her and the confirmation will be coming by snail mail in 7-10 days. Will this headache ever end??? Seriously. Save yourselves!!! This has been a PSA.

Okay, to be fair, I'm probably the LAST person to review Maurices -- the women's clothing retail…read morechain with more than 1,000 locales in the USA and Canada. All I can work from are the facts. On this day at Station Park "Don't Call Us a Mall" mall -- a shopping mecca teeming with women's clothing and discount clothing stores -- my wife only bought clothes at Maurices. I've spent many-an-hour in many-a-women's clothing stores, burning time on my cell phone as my wife files through many-a-rack of clothes. I can say Maurices one of the deeper, well-stocked stores I've seen. And this Station Park location is FILLED with customers on a lazy Sunday afternoon where other nearby clothing stores are ghost towns. What will those passionate about women's fashions find at Maurices? Tops of all types for both casual and fancy occasions, denim ranging from shorts to jeans to jean jackets, outdoor wear, sleepwear, "intimates", scarves, bags, socks, makeup, sunglasses, necklaces, rings, bracelets, perfumes and... Well, let's just say everything a fashionista--from skinny to plus-sized--could possibly want. My wife spent an hour in there. Really, the "belle of the ball" is the "Going, Going, Gone" clearance section in the back left corner. This isn't your usual picked-over, mish-mash, 3/4 empty clearance area. A lot of stuff, on REAL clearance prices. How do I know this? My wife left with two jackets and a top for $28 and saved $90. So yeah, ladies, you may want to make your way to Maurices at Station Park!

This store just has no concept of customer service. I've spent over a decade buying from Torrid and…read moreI've had to do a few exchanges over the years. Today I tried to exchange (not return) a pair of unworn pants. I had removed the tags because I typically wear the same size, but having lost a few pounds, I tried these on and they were a bit roomy. I don't have a local Torrid so while traveling I brought them two weeks after buying hoping for a size down exchange. They refused despite me having exchanged multiple items in the past in similar circumstances. They have no real policy in place. I've returned and/or exchanged multiple items without tags over the years with no issues at all. If they had been consistent about this over the years I would be less bothered by it, but having had successful returns in the past, I'm frustrated with their lack of customer service. The pants were unworn and undamaged, just missing tags. I would have even paid a restocking fee for the tags. I have spent thousands of dollars a year at this store but now that I know my store loyalty isn't worth an exchange for a $45 pair of pants they will never see another dollar from me.

T shirts that were $20 at the former Lovesick that used to be in this location are now $60. It's crazy. I bought from here about a month ago and was able to find one dress that was super cute but most of the clothes are baggy and don't have any shape to them at all. Honestly Lovesick was 10 times better and cheaper, I really wish that store was here instead. The only reason that this is two stars is because the employees are the sweetest people ever. I'd really only go back to chat with the employees, if I'm being real.
