I brought my grandchildren here, and was very disappointed with the outcome of the trip. Not only was it run down, but the food court just didn't really help my diabetes. Being in a wheelchair makes it really difficult and sadly this mall couldn't support me. Also, I heard rumors about gangs being there and shoot outs? I have nightmares thinking about what could have happened to my grand babies if the lord wasn't with us. I am here to keep it real and as my grandson would say I am here to keep it . Look, if you need something from here, I highly suggest just taking care of business as quickly as possible. This isn't really a "wandering around" type of mall. There are usually quinceañeras, tik tok "influencers" and just general nonsense happening here. Also, I guess it's considered a "risky area" because people get shot in the parking lot after hours frequently. So do with that what you will. Upside-Bath & Body Works is usually pretty stocked in comparison to other areas because literally, no one shops here. read more

If you're from Hawaii or you've ever visited Hawaii, you'll understand my reference to Citadel Mall. If Pearlridge and Windward Mall had a cousin, it would be Citadel Mall. The layout is similar that it's pretty eerie because it's in Colorado Springs. While the variety of stores and eats in the mall is a good selection, it's some of the people that hang out at the mall that will have you hesitate in shopping at this mall and have you looking elsewhere to shop where you will not feel uneasy especially during the evening. Should you decide to check out this mall, park where it's crowded and go during the day. That's my preference. read more

It's a sketchy and shady mall, dont feel safe there even during the day. Its not at all like it was merely 10 years ago, and lifetimes away from its 80's and 90's heyday. Most of the surrounding businesses have closed and moved, definetly this area has changed. I feel sad for this mall, and even sad fir the surrounding area; the whole Citadel Mall & Crossing lost to time and better memories of yester year. read more

Seeing this mall now makes me so sad. Twenty years ago it was vibrant, full, and teeming with people and interesting stores. Now half of it is closed down, and most of the remaining half is dedicated to sleazy outfits like vape stores, cbd outlets, urban barber shops etc. The food court, while still a beautiful layout, has downgraded its food offerings to traveling carnival brand/quality. We actually saw a homeless person rifling through his bags/shopping cart there. The crowds are sketchy and there are warning signs on the mall front doors about loitering/unaccompanied minors. Hopefully (as per the long term lease/sale advertisement on side of mall) this mall is bought and refurbished so it can be restored to its former glory. For now it's just best avoided. read more

We used to come to the mall at least every week, I realized it has been a year or more since I was last here. Don't take this review too seriously, we basically came to use the food court. I used to come to Dillard's all the time, but the reduced size and close-out Dillard's just doesn't cut it for me. The one at Chapel Hills disappoints me as well, just doesn't seem to give the deluxe shopping experience this one did. read more

This mall is nothing close to big or extravagant. It is just a standard mall. Regular stores, but not all of them have much stuff in it. The last few times I have come to shop here, I left disappointed at not finding enough selection, especially in the burlington. Food court is decent at best. Not a place one would go to hang out or spend a day at. There is nothing special about it in my opinion. It is evident that this place isn't what it used to be. Poor Citadel Mall, you are in dire need of an overhaul. This mall is exactly the same as it was when I lived in Colorado Springs with my parents a million years ago. I came back as an adult to visit and while it's nice to know where everything is, I don't miss the 90s at all and it could use a nice modern makeover. This is what I fondly refer to as the "ghetto mall" and while there are some perks, like the best Burlington I have ever been to, there are a lot of negatives too like a ton of empty storefronts and always a gaggle of sheisty looking kids roaming about with no parental supervision. If you have a loud obnoxious teenager who hangs out with the wrong crowd and thinks it's appropriate to yell in public places and walk around like they own the place, disregarding those around them, chances are they are hanging out at the good old Citadel Mall. Ok, to be fair, I know malls are prime teenager hangouts, but for whatever reason, this mall just attracts the most rude and obnoxious teenagers! I avoid this mall for this very reason. As far as shopping goes, this place isn't too bad. It only has 2 department stores but has an awesome Burlington Coat Factory. The rest of the stores, other than your typical Pac Sun and Victoria's Secret, are the kind that sell cheap, low quality clothing and accessories. The good thing about this mall, however, is that there seems to be a lot of locally owned shops inside. Hoyal Boards, Gen X, and Fashion Q are the first ones that come to mind. Seeing locally owned shops in malls is fairly rare, I assume because the rent is too expensive. Perhaps it is not so expensive here and therefore attracts those shopowners that would typically never be able to afford prime mall space. Ultimately, I only come to this mall if I need something fast or cheap. Otherwise, you will find me driving the 20 minutes up Academy to the Chapel Hills mall. read more

I went to get my nails done inside the mall for the first time in YEARS! my friend had prepaid for the services so they were being EXTRA nice of course. But while I was getting the service there were TOO MANY red flags!!! I asked for long nails, hence the consolation from the beginning but he kept trying to give me a childish length. As he was applying the acrylic I had to tell him NUMEROUS of times it was burning. He kept spraying water on them and kept continuing with the services. it was clumped on and he BARELY filed it down. At the end of the service he asked how'd I like it and I was fully transparent and told him that it was worse then a two year old doing them. I am a cosmetology student and we were take my full set off to do a manicure on me. I became an example of having MMA (illegal for nails) applied and what not to get from a nail salon!!! Don't bother. Seriously. I tried. I will no longer drive this far to shop here. It's not with my time. This mall is failing. No, it has failed. And the stores, I prefer, open at 11 A.M. or later on Saturday. That does not work for me. I don't know how this mall will sustain itself much longer. Which is sad. I don't frequent; each time I am here there are fewer options to support me. I specifically came today to go to Dillards clearance outlet. But of course they don't open until noon. The mall is old and needs a facelift. 20 years ago it was the place to go but it has lost that draw and hasn't kept up with the times. The bathrooms downstairs by the food court are some of the nastiest bathrooms in town. Dark, broken, smelly and scary. read more

It's the mall in the middle of Colorado Springs. It has become rundown over the years. It's not necessarily shady but I wouldn't go there after dark. This visit mall security was kicking out a group of girls for fighting. The stores they have there are good and they are even putting in more kid friendly places for kids to play. There is a food court that has a lot of restaurant and the mall has the a hooters. There are three different staggered levels so the maps can be confusing. read more

My family went here on a week day before school was out and it was a fairly nice store. I used to live in The Middle Of Nowhere, Deep South so this mall is actually pretty nice compared to what I'm used to. It isn't as nice as the Chapel Hills mall, but it didn't have anywhere near as much traffic for the same time/day of week as there either. The food court was very nice. A large waterfall, lots of seating, lots of live plants (and live plants throughout the mall). There were several closed stores, but I'm sure that is because the mall just can't compete with the number of strip malls through Colorado Springs. The animals at the pet store here seemed SO MUCH happier and cleaner than the animals at the same store at the Chapel Hills mall. Every mall has pros and cons, but overall I was pretty happy spending a few hours here with the family. read more

This is the worse mall I've ever been to in my entire life, and I've been to a lot in my day. As a self proclaimed "mall rat" and I can honestly say this shopping center is so depressing. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about the fact it has no Macy's or Dillard's. The highlight of this mall is their food court. lol Every night I pray they tear it apart and build a brand new, beautiful, sparkling mall with all my favorite stores. Not a bad mall, by far the only store I like To browse is Luckys Electronics. It's more a Rave Scene and lifestyle shop. Being from So. Calif. I am used to LARGE, beautiful, multi-storied malls. This is not one of them! Nice mall but small and at Christmas time-forget it. Way too many strollers, kids and teens. I will not go to this mall on weekends or after Halloween. Too many people, screaming kids, loitering teens, screaming teen girls trying to walk and text or talk on their phones. This was a huge hang out for me as a teen. I hate to see how it's gone down hill. The reason is that no one shops here anymore! So, we need to support the businesses that are there and keep it going. The food court is great, very light and airy with lots of good places. My son loves the play place. It's a great place to spend with your kids when the weather stinks. Before they closed I was told by the managers that they were not getting the sales like the use to. This place is full of teens doing nothing but hanging out. The managers of this mall really need to do something to help change this image of this mall and promote quality stores to come in. They really need help.
