This is by far the best cigar shop I've ever been to! I'm not an every day or even every week cigar smoker. In fact, the cigar box makes it so enjoyable and relaxing that I should be giving them a bad review for encouraging unhealthy behavior. . They have everything I ever want in a cigar bar. Great selection of cigars that are properly stored. Inside or outside seating, plenty of drinks, lots of TVs with lots of channels. In the back, it's dark and people watch movies there, the front and outside usually have sports on. Almost every time I've been in they have free food that someone brought in. I don't drink, but I think they might allow people to bring in their own bottles. Don't quote me on that one. Just looks like it. They also have lots of comfortable seating, recliners with ashtrays, lots of cigar lighters around, free matches, and any supplies I would want if I needed to buy them. Outside, they even have flowers and hummingbird feeders . If you're looking for an elegant or trendy cigar shop this isn't it, but if you're a cigar smoker, this is the perfect spot! Lastly, they also have accommodating hours of operation and don't seem to be kicking people out at closing time. Truly, a class operation! read more

I usually smoke cigars when I'm on vacation in South Florida. They have lots of great cigar bars in that area that have good selection and a comfortable place (inside usually). The Cigar Box reminded me of these places. People had brought some food. They had tv's , games, and just places to hang out; both Inside and Out. They even had lots of hummingbird feeders. I was here a few years ago when I moved to STL and felt very unwelcome. When I walked in I saw a group of men who were obvious regulars all talking, smoking and enjoying themselves. As soon as they noticed me they all stopped talking and stared at me. I approached the counter and one of the men got up and asked what I was looking for. I told him I was looking for a Davidoff cigar and he said he did not carry that brand. He sat back down and he and the rest of the group kept silent. I thanked him and as I was walking out the men began chatting again. I felt like I crashed a private party. I won't be back. read more

Great selections in sticks and beer, fair pricing with a deal always available. Multiple seating areas for small groups to enjoy a stick with a great view of TVs. Upgraded Ventilation prevents that typical "smoky" atmosphere. A great place to chill, have a drink and enjoy a quality cigar! read more

The best cigar lounge in town! I just got the pictures of their holiday gifts, outstanding. On my way to see them in person. The manager has hit the ground running this year. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars for this one, but only because I prefer a wider selection of the smaller brands and new releases. That said, they do carry a large selection of smokes that will appeal to most enthusiasts, and it seems that they are starting to carry a wider variety - my last visit, I saw that they've started carrying some Tatuaje and Illusione. As for everything else, this place nails it - friendly and welcoming staff, various beverages, relaxing environment with plenty of space to spread out - everything you would want in a B&M. I'd like to see more of the many excellent cigars that don't have the same market share that the big names do, but I realize I'm in the minority here (you know those pretentious hipster beer snobs that have to be drinking some obscure beer that you've never heard of, and groan when you offer them a Bud Light? I'm like one of those douche bags, but with cigars.) I can't fault them for selling what their customers are buying though, and everything else about the place is top notch, so 5 stars it is. read more

Ended up disappointed here. Started going there, as it is in my neighborhood, and the place seemed fine. Spent quite a bit on great cigars - they do have a fine selection - and the fellow customers are cool. Seems I made a mistake though, mentioning one day that my daughter had also sent me a few cigars for my birthday. I was in the shop smoking one of THEIRS I had bought, a great Ashton Cabinet, when one of the owners said, "They don't like it when you smoke other cigars in here." I wasn't asked what I was smoking beforehand. I just up and left and haven't been back. I put my share of patronage into that place, between top-end cigars, beers, coffee, attending functions, etc. I am in no particular need of being reprimanded by anyone for anything, and it isn't a smart business move to quibble with steady customers. Their loss; there's another cigar store a couple miles away. Finally, there was at one time another poor review posted here but it has been removed. I didn't understand the other reviewer's complaint about unfriendly service at the time, but I do now. Good day, gentlemen. read more
