Came in to this cigar shop today and was immediately greeted by David. I told him I was looking for a smooth Connecticut and he offered a few choices. He showed me the Payback cigar and I like the 6x60 cigars so I picked up two. I smoked it back at my hotel and David... thank you for picking out a good one.... Not anymore. Went to the S Tulsa store like I have for the last ten years, selected my sticks and went to the register to check out. For the next five minutes I waited while the bartender flirted with the three customers at the bar. She yelled to that she would be right with me. Five minutes later another customer came and she was gleeful he showed up. He sat down and she asked him what he wanted. That was it. I left the cigars on the counter and walked out. Was not greeted when I walked in. Bartender unprepared, and clearly didn't know the proper way to pour a drink as he "guesstimated" by free pour with no spout. I don't like overly strong drinks, but I do care to taste the alcohol. Would bet money there wasn't even an oz in the glass I paid $12 for. He built it all in the cup before adding ice which is fine if you're going to put more than 4-5 little ice cubes in it, ice was gone within 2 minutes. Had to ask 3 times for a lime before he finally cut one that wouldn't even fit in the glass. Bottom line, the drink was terrible and he was oblivious. I still tipped because that's who I am, but y'all should make sure that the people you put behind the bar understand their job. I've been training bartenders for 10 yrs. He needs some coaching. I stopped at this Cigar Box while traveling, I'm a local of the Midwest City Cigar Box. I loved how it was different, the guy working was truly knowledgeable of good cigar even had one burning in the bar, to enjoy on his own. So I did a review on one of the other cigar box lounges so it's only fair I review this one too. First thing when you walk in is the humidor, not to big that it takes you hour to find what your looking for but just big enough that they have what you want. Excellent choice of cigars, and if your not sure what you want to try, someone like David will meet you and explain every cigar to you. 5 stars for the cigar quality. So now you got your cigar, then you go into the lounge to enjoy your cigar with a cocktail. Nothing goes better with a cigar than a good drink. They have a complete bar with anything you could want. It's hard to rate the lounge so I'll rate the staff instead. 5 star for staff. David was a friendly host both in the humidor and behind the bar. The guy will make you feel welcome. Overall, this place is great. Sitting here for 5 minutes and already in the group conversation at the bar. If your in the area and want a good cigar and drink, I'd highly recommend this place. read more
