My wife and I are over 65. We were happy to find a place we felt comfortable without the annoying karaoke and young wanna be cowboys. We are the real thing and enjoy being around people our own age who are just out for a good night of dancing and good company without worrying about adolescent macho idiots! We chose The Chute to have my husbands birthday party, and a lot of people came out to join us! We really enjoyed the band and drinks were great...until the waitress informed my husband he was being cut off, really??? A grown man 43 years old that had a designated driver (me) and a room actually very close to the bar, and his birthday...really??? And I may add he was NOT intoxicated, he was dancing and having a great time....apparently the employees are judges that get to determine when you get cut off! read more

I'm speaking from a bartender experience (20 years of bartender experience)... Avoid this place if you can't because in all honestly they have no flipping idea on how to do things here. Me and my wife have been here a few times and these "bartenders" think that flashing a little cleavage will get them tips and everything when it won't. Then when you won't tip them they get upset and try to play the pouty face like a child hoping that will work. The owner of the place seems to think that it's ok for their bartenders to do this. If you want something like this just go to HOOTERS because at least they can do it better. We'll never be coming back that's for sure. read more

I would normally take my wife to the Chute on Saturday's. It's normally a fun atmosphere and good Country music. Then they started bringing in Country bands.And some of those bands were familiar,while some were not. It seems lately that now they are charging $ 25.00 per person on Saturday's for bands that no one ever heard of.That's $ 50.00 per couple to listen to music that is Mediocre. It would be so much better If they would just get back to Saturday Night Country Dj music. Ever since they went to this format. On Thursday May 4th 2023 around 11:30pm My husband myself and 2 friends arrived around 11pm had just purchased a bucket of beer with 4 beers. About 30 min later when my husband tried to go buy more beer He was told He had been cut off. Like anyone would be, He was confused because he had only had 1 beer, He was not causing a scene or bothering anybody we we're sitting by the dance floor. He was escorted out and for no reason treated very disrespectful He was handled very extremely by their security guy for no apparent reason, after He was escorted out He was livid as anyone would be. They need to check their cameras because this was our first time there, we have never been there before and I believe they must of confused him with another person. Which if that's the case they need to be more careful when recognizing or selecting the people that do need to be cut off or escorted out we were treated very unfairly and got cut off and thrown out for no reason. All I'm asking is for them to check the cameras and verify for themselves. read more

Myself and another enlisted soldier were drinking normally and were on our 3rd shot and they cut us off. However allow others to indulge on 6-8 shots. We weren't causing trouble or fights. This needs to be fixed or else the community will know how they treat US Army soldiers. read more

Apparently, this is where it's at in Baytown, Texas. Completely a country bar now, with the name and everything. They used to be "Foozie's Sports Bar & Billiards" and I had only gone once then but recently, I was dragged out by a girlfriend one night and another time by another girlfriend; due to this being the only thing in Baytown that was decent enough and wasn't a wing place. When I was dragged out the first time, I had a decent time, it wasn't my scene and I had to pay $10 due to some "concert" going on that night. Okay, that's fine. Long story short, my girlfriend and her girlfriend's were sitting at our table the whole night since most of the music that was being played required a dancing partner and I didn't have one. However, they did play a few, typical, get up and dance by yourself in formation with the rest of the crowd songs... e.g. Cupid Shuffle, Cha-Cha Slide, and the Wobble. So for those mere few minutes, I had a great time! For the rest of the night, Michelob Ultra and "catch up" conversation between my girlfriend and I kept me content. Then the second time I told you guys I was dragged out, my loving boyfriend was accompanying me. We, however, did NOT get allowed to go inside. Remember I told you guys earlier that this is now a country bar... They mean it. They would not let my boyfriend in because he did not have a bend on the brim of his hat. :D I laugh about it because they were so serious and my boyfriend is one to have a short fuse and stormed out. Inside the bar, they have a decent size dancing area, a stage, pool tables, red bathrooms, and high chairs. The bar is always busy and some of the bartenders tend to focus more on people they know than every customer. They have a designated smoking area outside for all the smokers so, fellow non-smokers don't have to smell it inside. Overall, if I had to go again, I probably would but that's only if I was stuck in Baytown. If you love country, this is definitely the place for you. read more

Went there a couple of times just after they opened to see a band I like. Wait staff ignored us until I grabbed the shot girl. Waitress brought half of our order and complained it wasn't her table. Next time same scenario. This time I decided to get drinks myself but it took them almost 15 minutes to find my credit card and tab at a different bar. They have another bar in Pasadena that is managed WAY better called Chuters. We now listen to live music there. read more

Don't bother renting out the VIP section. We paid for our friends birthday party on the 18th and rented out the VIP area but they told us since every table wasn't full they were gonna allow people that weren't with our group up there. We had almost 30 people. You can only fit about 50. 10/10 don't recommend for you party. The drinks were great and the bartenders were nice but honestly the hospitality sucks. read more

Our favorite spot in Baytown, by far! Country themed dance hall, with a huge dance floor! The bartenders and servers are wonderful! They never leave you sitting with an empty drink! They have a great Happy Hour, as well as nightly specials! Aside from the dance floor, they have pool tables, darts, and video games! Really is a great place! The only thing I don't like, is the amount of rap music they play! They have way too much of it on the juke box, and on the weekends, its just too too much for a country bar. Last night was my first night there...... of course I got there at closing time, but I still had a good time. Everyone I came in contact with was exceptionally cool towards me, and that's always a big plus. There where no staggering drunks, or belligerent idiots roaming around. As a matter of fact, I have three new friends they treated me well. I'm going tonight, earlier though. A couple of dart boards that I saw, and some pool tables always manage to live in the place up, unless of course the darts have steel tips, and the pool cues are made out of cast iron ... with drunks all over the place! Rude bartenders ignore you while they play on their phone, as your eardrums are getting blown out by uncomfortably loud music. I would understand having to wait for drinks and having loud music if they were busy, but when there are maybe ten people in the entire place (and I'm being generous in that estimate) there is absolutely no reason for it. Been there before and never had a great experience either. There are much better places to go in Baytown. read more

This spot use to be Foozie's. It is a cool spot, but that cover charge at the door of 5$ is to keep some folks out. The Dirty Bay Bar doesn't do that!!! Regardless, there are some good bands that have played there. I don't get the cover charge on nights that the bands don't perform... read more

This place is trash. They try and hold a high standard for dress code however they are selective on who they allow in and out of the bar. The service is poor and the staff is probably the worst you'll find. Don't waste your time here. Anywhere else in Baytown will do better than this trash dump. read more

Told me I couldn't enter with flip flops. Asked them where that was posted and the bouncer promptly took me outside and pointed at the rules for dress code posted on the window. No where there did it say anything about footwear. I'm no cowboy, and don't own a pair of boots, apparently that makes my money void. They let my wife in with her flip flops though. read more

As a veteran of a Marine we decided to meet some other Marines at this local hot spot only to be treated like shit and to be thrown out the bar. We have been to several different dance halls and bars and never once been thrown out of a place. My husband got stepped on by an oversized man on the dance floor and simply asked the guy to be more careful the oversized man then went and complained and said that my husband threatened him. We were asked to leave! We had 150.00 bar tab and were thrown out of the bar. When I asked the lady why we were being thrown out of the bar she could not give me a reason just said we needed to leave or we were going to jail. What a horrible place and as a veteran's wife I could not be more disgusted how they treated our group of Marines. read more
