This review is based on a single delivery lunch. I will be sure to revise it as I try more things which I definitely will. Hungry for lunch one day and looking for a reasonably priced luncheon special and came across this restaurant because it has been repeatedly recommended to me. Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I ordered a honey chicken lunch combination. It was about to pay when I noticed that it was 30% off for orders over $20 on the delivery app. Which meant that if I added an $11 boneless ribs I would only pay three dollars for it. Never one to turn down a bargain I added that to my order. The delivery was quick. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was and it arrived still hot. The chicken was among the best I've tasted. The fried rice was good as well. The eggroll was a bit bland. The boneless ribs were more like the pork strips. I used to order when I was young. They were moist and delicious. This last-minute add-on turned out to be one of the highlights of the mail. Overall, the food was excellent, but what really stood out was that I was able to get three complete meals out of one combination and one appetizer. It was really a wonderful experience and a great lunch for a reasonable price. I have not tried enough of their food to give a more detailed review at this point but expected my rating will probably go up as I become a fan of this restaurant. read more

My family and I spent over $200 on a late lunch here. I ate their food once a few years ago and it was delicious. So I ordered here with confidence, also it's rare that anywhere REALLY messes up Chinese food too much. But oh my goodness, every single thing we ordered was not good. I only have a picture of my chicken and broccoli, but it looked strange to me before I even took a bite. Idk what changed, but I would NOT recommend this place at all. We ordered the honey chicken wings, honey chicken meal, sweet and sour chicken, dumplings, chicken and broccoli, crab rangoons, and egg rolls. I was disappointed read more

The Chinese Restaurant - Chicken and broccoli - Chinese Near Me - Miami, Florida

It's incredibly difficult to find great Chinese food in Miami. It's mostly pan-Asian, authentic Chinese specialties (dim sum, etc.), or neighborhood spots masquerading as good NY-style Chinese. The Chinese Restaurant is likely the best NY-style Chinese you'll find. The pork fried rice and ribs are everything they should be: the rice is flavorful and meaty, with the perfect amount of soy sauce and a soft bite. The ribs are glazed with hoisin sauce and served in an aluminum-lined bag to preserve the heat (an old-school trick most places don't even do anymore). I can't wait to return. read more

I brought my fiancée here as I had recently seen a TikTok about this place. I used to come here as a child. It was nice to see nothing has really changed inside, which made it very nostalgic. I got my tried and true, shrimp fried rice which tastes just as good as it did before. I switched it up and ordered some orange chicken which wasn't my fave dish. There was something off about the flavor. I usually like their honey chicken. The service was quick and everyone was very nice. read more

The food was amazing. I went on a recommendation from Google reviews and I was not disappointed. The combination platter was enough food to feed 2 or 3 people. The service was great and the staff's customer service was too tier. The restaurant reminded me of a restaurant i grew up in back home in Virginia. The restaurant was clean but had a old Chinese restaurant vibe which I loved. I will definitely return here when I come back to Miami in a few months. read more

Always a family favorite coming to the Chinese restaurant. I have been supporting this family owned business for 30 years. My two favorite items here is the honey chicken and the pepper steak. These two menu items are always delicious and never disappoint. read more

I love this restaurant. Remember this spot since I was a kid and the flavors are still the same...delicious. I'm not going to lie, place looks the same too from childhood but if it ain't broke don't fit it right?! And it's clean and the food is just yummy. They still have the lunch specials at a great price and combination platters that always hit the spot. It's just really great and flavored Chinese food. And I've been ordering the same chicken chow mein meal, the veggies are still crunchy, the fried rice still outstanding and the eggroll just cheers my soul. You just can't go wrong with a restaurant that after so many years hands out the best flavors and decent service. So order up and enjoy...they also take online orders too. read more

Absolutely love this place! The Chinese Restaurant in Kendall has been our family go-to spot whenever we crave delicious, authentic Chinese food. Everything on the menu is flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair--great value for such quality food. The service is consistently friendly and efficient. The staff makes you feel right at home, whether you're dining in or taking out. I especially appreciate how clean and welcoming the space is--simple, cozy, and always buzzing with happy regulars. Some favorites I keep coming back for: the cashew chicken (perfectly sauced), beef with broccoli, and their wonton soup, which is incredibly comforting. Oh--and don't skip the egg rolls and sesame wontons. If you're in Kendall and craving Chinese food, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won't be disappointed! read more

I had a great experience here. There are plenty of mixed reviews for this place so had to try it myself. I got the honey chicken and it was delicious, with a side of fried rice which was great as well. The prices were decent as well and the service was nice and friendly. Willy the owner greeted himself and made sure I had a good time at his place read more

I've been goin to this restaurant for 40yrs. Best special fried rice in town! They are always on point with there take out orders.

Best chinese/peruvian restaurant in Miami.Great food,great cutomer service...The best.

The service was fine, but the food was extremely salty. The rice lacked flavor in the sender that it tasted like it was old. It got to the point where it was just inedible. It used to be a real good, fresh restaurant, but unfortunately, it seems as though the quality went downhill a while ago. Lastly, the location itself is in need of a renovation or update. read more

My best friend came from Orlando so we decided to order something around the area and I found this I thought maybe it would've been good. I ordered it by Uber Eats. It took like an hour and a half to get there and the rice was the worst for I ever eaten. It was the chicken fried rice. It felt like it was burntand she had a wonton soup which everything was just splattered in the soup. I think it's the worst place I've ever been in the crab dragons didn't taste right I will never recommend this to no one.i should've taken pics read more

First off, I just moved here and heard this place was the best around. Decided to stop for a quick lunch at 2pm mid week. Very odd, the place smelled like an Arm Pit? I think the smell is coming from the rug and probably just needs replacing. I ordered the Lunch Special figuring it would be cooked to order. They used day old food and just ran it thru the fryolator again. A trick they used to do in military to us, so I know what it tastes like. The Egg Roll was cold and the fried rice didn't look like any fried rice I've ever eaten, so passed on it. Not sure why this place was soo good? Did it sell or new owners? read more

I've been ordering from this place for a while and I'm very pleased with both service and food

Good Chinese food but nothing out of this world. Some stuff was better than others but overall it was just okay. I ordered takeout and the dining area looked pretty empty when I picked it up. But the staff was friendly. Probably will be trying another place for my next Chinese food craving. read more

this place has been a go to for so many years. It is literally the only place that I trust with Chinese food. They also have a bit of Peruvian cuisine in the menu, which is also so delicious and I will forever come and order from this restaurant. read more

Two years ago, I reported that I found a dead fly in my sweet n' sour sauce. Today, I discovered a piece of fingernail in my fried rice. Restaurant eventually compensated me for the meal after first trying to convince me it was part of a shrimp shell. C'mon you guys...I know the difference between a shrimp shell and a human fingernail. Especially after swishing this hard thing around in my mouth (see pic). It's taking all the strength in me not to barf right now...not to mention I'm 15 weeks pregnant. read more

on 4/24/25 at around 3:00 pm I ordered to go honey chicken and vegetable fried rice. The restaurant was pretty empty. The honey chicken was extremely dried, hard and no flavor whatsoever, every single piece went in to the garbage. Couldn't even eat one piece. The veggie rice had a terrible burnt smell and also no flavor. Smell was so bad I could not eat it. I have eaten their food before many times and was good. This time both items went to the garbage in the entirely. Had to order pizza! I also called the restaurant and the lady that answered the phone all she said was that she will tell the boss. What a waste of my money and time. read more

Have know Willy for at least 30 years. Still works thhe kitchen and does deliveries. A Kendall go to! Enjoy!

I've seen this Chinese restaurant every time I drive by the area. Today we decided to give it a shot. We opted for take out and ordered beef fried rice, honey shrimp, lemon chicken, beef Mongolian and beef chow mein. The total bill was $50. After 20-30 minutes, our order was Freddy for pick up. Overall it all smelled good! My favorite and would order again is the beef fried rice and honey shrimp. My husband said it was the freshest beef fried rice he has ever had. I agree. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because I wasn't a fan of the lemon chicken. Not only was it covered in sauce for my taste, the chicken was a bit rubbery and hard to chew. My kids didn't like it either. I had to throw the entire container out. The beef chow mein was not my favorite. I prefer Lo mein, but my husband preferred chow mein. I will definitely give this place another try. read more

I placed an order through Uber eats and it didn't took long for delivering. I ordered three orders of the Crab Rangoon for a friends come over .i was so disappointed when we started eating them , they where very dry inside and the corners where extremely hard to chew, looks like they were done days before, not fresh . Also i never saw the crab meat , it was just cream cheese . Or not sure it was a white paste . Not sure I will order from here again . Door dash has made this to expensive too order had to find somewhere cheaper to order from

This is how my kids who like chinese food left their plates. Ordered before getting there and was told 40 mins. Ended up being close to 50 mins. Don't get me wrong they seemed to be pretty busy, people walking in and out, but their quality is not good at all. Needless to say will not be returning to this place again. lobby smells bad too, as soon as you walk in you feel a stench, like carpet is dirty. read more

Smells like old cooking oil and the carpets are disgusting. Looks like they have never been cleaned. My opinion is... If the front looks and smells the way it does, imagine how the kitchen must be. Tasty or not this place needs to be closed and given a deep cleaning both front and the kitchen in the back. Do not recommend it. read more

I've read the other reviews on here and I haven't experienced any of the bad things mentioned. Been coming to The Chinese Restaurant for as long as I can remember (at least over 30 years now). Normally we dine-in. There's always a table available and the server is friendly, but she can be busy and in a hurry sometimes...but she's always friendly. She knows what we like to order (because we go there at least once a month). Typical Chinese decor. Huge seating area. They have a big tv to watch while eating dinner...but it's usually on a channel most people don't understand. haha. The best item on the menu is the Honey Garlic fried wonton appetizer. We order it every time. DELICIOUS! They have the best Honey Garlic Chicken in Kendall. Huge portions. Other items worth mentioning are the Spare Ribs, Schezwan chicken or beef....all delicious! NOTE: If you ever order the MuShu...they don't have the pancakes for it and I guess they never will. Good for cutting calories, I guess?!?! hah! Also, another thing to check for...if you order take out/delivery....make sure you get your appetizers (rib/egg roll) that comes with the combo meals. They tend to forget to put that in. Happened 3 times to me. Their prices are great and I'll keep going back. read more

The Chinese Restaurant - Beef with Oyster Sauce - Chinese Near Me - Miami, Florida

Worst. May not be the front person fault but seems like she is the cooker, waiter, packaging person, phone etc...owner should hire more personnel. It took two uber drivers and more than a two hour wait for a almost 90.00 order. Order was canceled. Very hard to get thru the phone and when someone get to answer either they put you on hold for another 30 min or a very rude and exhausted employee will answer. read more

Best in the Kendall area. Tried others in the area, but this is the best. Rice is great. Wing are probably the best I've had in a Chinese restaurant. Staff is always friendly when I pick up. There is inside eating, but since I'm single I always take it to go lol. Plenty of parking. read more

I am an Asian food connoisseur, and I LOVE General Tsao/Chow Chicken and have eaten at many, many restaurants in Miami and no one makes a better one than them, hands down. Do not order from them on uber eats. One day, I order and no issue asking for extra shrimp. When I called, the young girl was able to figure it out and added the charge. I called the other day, this girl didnt even want to attend me. Too concerned with notifying the kitchen of the orders. Then I come to see that they wanted me to be charged when the error occcured because of them never sending the ribs ordered?!! Thankfully uber set it right but never again. They are careless and not good with customer service when you call. read more

I have been living in the vicinity of the crossings shopping center for many years and many times have ordered to go from the Chinese place. The food is good and tasty but unfortunately because the inside of the place looks so rundown and dirty, I can't really enjoy my food. Think about it, if they restaurant is dirty and it's what their patrons are able to see imagine what the kitchen looks like as this is the area that customers are not able to see. I just wish that the owner would take care of his restaurant by updating, fixing or showing some TLC. While Waiting yesterday for our to go, I looked up and saw cracks in the ceiling, homemade patches on the wall. The same old couches that have been there ever since I started coming there and I just couldn't help thinking what's lurking underneath the seats. Again the food is good and customer service is ok, So this is my personal review and not meant to deter anyone who hasn't been there to try it out. I go here mostly for takeout as it is convenient. I also just recently tried their steamed dumplings and they were very good. read more
