Since my particular chimney tends to have a LOT of creosote near the top, that, nor the cap which also gets a lot of creosote in it, was not addressed really. So I have mixed feelings. The picture near the top, though I am unsure if the very top, showed creosote he said he just couldn't completely clear. This approach to chimney cleaning will probably work fine for most. But just not for me. And because I could not produce a verification of the date of my stove I was not cleared to use it because the area around it wasn't quite big enough, though I know at the time it was installed that distance was enough, I remember checking. The young worker agreed but said since we couldn't prove the date,...it doesn't meet today's requirement. Sigh.
