Bowl

Pretty solid spot! Love the atmosphere on the inside and they get the orders to you fast, even if you order meats that aren't pre cooked. Prices are reasonable, but servings are a little small (at least for the togo bowls). They have a nice salsa bar and all the normal fixings you'd expect. This is the ideal place to drop by for a quick lunch if you're downtown! I got a Chorizo bowl on my first visit. Not bad, but could've been a bit better. Lacked some flavor.

We liked picking our burrito bowl. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The staff was nice.

Falling apart and no cheese!

I eat there at least once week and I have never been treated so poorly. First and last time getting the quesadilla- I asked to make sure there was cheese and he said " it's a quesadilla obviously there was cheese" and I get back to the office and it's falling apart with no cheese. Very poor customer service and a terrible quesadilla.

My favorite part is how the un-drained ingredients drip down my forearm. Good flavor.

Quick, great setting and good food. Rumors are they are expanding working hours and serving beer, which is a big plus!

My friend got food poisoning from eating the fish tacos. Serving undercooked meat! I will never go to this place after his experience today.

Choose between Appetizers, Tacos and Entrees and the kitchen will serve up dishes that are brought to you at intervals. Standout items we tried are, ranked from best-to-least, were: 1) Steak & Eggs 2) Papas Chorizo Skillet 3) Chicken & Waffle 4) Breakfast Taco 5) Al Pastor Taco 6) Biscuit & Gravy The biscuit I loved, she didn't. It's very thick and dense, so will depend on your preference. Some of the tastiest overall Mexican-style breakfast's we've har! DRINKS: The all-you-can-drink option adds $$ (I think $20-25/person), so it isn't cheap... but is worthwhile if your group loves Mimosa's, Vodka's, Bloody Mary's and fresh Fruit Juices. To their credit, Federales' service staff POURS THE DRINKS CONSTANTLY lol. They brought out bottle after bottle, esp for the Mimosa's. We enjoyed it and felt this was part of the experience there - chill out, sink into the vibe, enjoy live music and loosen up while sitting in a modern open-air concept with everyone around smiling and feeling good ... In conclusion, this rivals Adele's for my favorite Nashville brunch spot. The two have very different vibes, and I highly recommend checking out Federales!

Most importantly, they have free validated parking behind the restaurant which is a rarity in 12 South! We highly recommend the swordfish sashimi and the guac (add crickets for a fun crunch!). Everything we tried though was something we agreed we'd both get again. They also have taco boards that a table beside us got that looked awesome! The strawberry colada mocktail was our favorite mocktail we tried. Sadly we went during a sober week so didn't try their margs.... But they have a "famous" frozen pomegranate marg that I want to try next time!

This was a late lunch hour so it wasn't busy and basically got sat immediately. But I would think lunch hour and weekends can get pretty busy. I knew what I was craving so we ordered pretty much as soon as we sat down. Omg the food was soo good and the perfect size for what I wanted. The taquitos were soooo good! The perfect flavors and texture. I would definitely get these again! The birria tacos were just as equally good! Next time you're in the area make sure you check them out!

Everything was a hit - all of the plates went back empty except for the broccolini, and that was our fault for ordering a vegetable on accident, lol. Service was friendly and quick and helped us order. Restaurant is small inside and you may be seated with other guests, especially if you are a party of 2. Also Beware - parking is only validated for 90 minutes, and gets quite expensive after that!

From the warm greeting by everyone to the genuine hospitality you fell all around, as soon as you enter ypu can tell it will be a special experience. The tequila and mezcal selection isn't walls and walls, but it definitely a nice small well curated list. Plus the bartender could speak to every single bottle, amended well. They even have a small batch ensemble from 5 sentidos that they went to Oaxaca and had a hand in blending. Amazing stuff. All that to say that the bar and the service are not even the stars of the show here, it's definitely the food. Get out of here with the idea that Mexican menus need to be 12 pages and cheap, focus on specific dishes results in everything being better amd good food costs money and time. Excellent sourcing, good techniques and thoughtfully menu cultivation. Means every meal I've had here has been nothing short of amazing!

Tacos are excellent (and thank you for the choice of corn tortillas), meats are flavorful, the drink choices hit the spot, and the service and laid-back ambiance are spot-on. (A big shout out to the more obscure classic rock and blues that they play.) The salsa bar provides a nice variety of flavors to add to the meal. The only problem? We decided to go after church on Sunday to try it out for ourselves! Visited around 9:45/10am on Sunday. Lots of seating outdoor and indoor! The people working there were all super nice and seemed happy to be there. The restaurant was clean and had beautiful decor. You order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. We ordered the family style pancake, which was massive. Think as big as a pizza and there was not only one but two of them! The pancake itself was delicious, warm, fluffy and perfectly cooked. My only critique was with the syrup. It's promoted as buttermilk syrup but it tasted like strait caramel/butterscotch. Think of those little butterscotch hard candies. This was the only disappointing part, I was looking forward to a light buttermilk syrup to melt into the pancake but it was heavy and had way too much flavor. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu! Super cool place and a great atmosphere. Also, they have their own parking lot with lots of spaces! So helpful.
