Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in League City - Bill for a routine ultrasound

My bill was outrageously expensive and I got a follow up unexpected bill. I'm going through a miscarriage. I came in for an ultrasound because UT Physicians downtown was booked for the week and they recommended a Memorial Hermann location because they share data/ patient information. This was the closest to me. My out of pocket for the ultrasound at UT Physicians was $50. Here it was $360. Apparently they bill like a hospital but still advertise like a convenient care center. Shady and predatory but unfortunately that's where the medical system is today. No one could explain why/ no one offered payment plans or financial assistance to someone clearly in distress about a $300 bill. Lots of staff laughing and joking behind the desk. I was so frustrated I laid into the front desk staff and a manager before realizing neither of them have any control about how the company bills patients. (Sorry, guys, rough day.) My mom convinced me to go back in because I really did need imaging. Made the decision to never come back after I got my ultrasound. On the way back to the room, though the ultrasound tech said something along the lines of "missed abortion, or what?" Ugh. She was just getting history I guess, but it was loudly in an area where other patients were. Also, when I told her I was in pain she said she had to push hard to get the right angles. Didn't feel reassured or taken care of. Sad because until this facility everyone I'd been to was really nice and professional. The icing on the cake was when I got another bill from some random radiology company for the *interpretation* of my ultrasound. That was another $133. Over $500 for a procedure that would have been $50 somewhere else AND I had a sh***y experience. Already took the survey they sent me so maybe they'll actually do something about it. Don't recommend either way.

She was very professional gave me good breathing instructions, helped me with placement, and made it go by fast! Christine was awesome with my ultrasound, she was friendly and professional and helped me feel at ease about the whole situation. Would definitely come back if ever needed, and would def recommend anyone in my situation to come here.

You may request the same Physical Therapist in the eligibility process, but it is not a guarantee you'll have her. As her schedule is booked. Madonna, is an outstanding Physical Therapist. She is friendly, helpful, and confident in aiding my father with his mobility. I'm so glad, she never gives up on him and holds him accountable for not completing his exercises. She also is great in notifying us when she won't be in the clinic. Will, is kind and cares about his staff, the patient, and the patient family. He is always ensuring if we need a chair, water, and support. As he is always there to assist. I like Will. When you arrive in the clinic you'll notice the lobby is filled with art of boats and light blue chairs facing every direction. On the wall is a pretty good sized television mounted to the wall and several therapists walking around. Previously, I did not know there was a Memorial TIRR in my area. This location is fairly new. As I remember, at the time there was only one TIRR. It was the one I went to in the medical center. I used walk to TIRR from the zoo parking lot to gain observation hours.

They only slot you for one hour; after blood pressure and computer time, you only get about 30 min of actual therapy... My focus is recovery, they focus on protocol... very lackadaisical on achieving actual results. Great location!

When my son graduated OT we were given multiple resources to continue his development from home. We are considering getting him re-evaluated for speech therapy and wouldn't go anywhere else.
