The fish was good, but the crispness level was lacking on both the fish and the fries--that's why I'm giving it 3 stars. Parking is a bit chaotic. You'll probably end up parking on a side street and walking a little bit. I will say they have a gorgeous patio! It wasn't open for dinner but the tables were all out so we could sit there with our drinks while we waiting for our table which was a nice bonus on a 70 degree day. The wrapper was to soft. The peanut sauce looked watery but had a good peanut taste. The pho came out hot (per the bartenders touch of the bowl). Broth was lacking in flavor. Didn't have unquie pho taste. There plenty of noodles and meat even though the one size bowl looks like a small. The atmosphere is calm.

Ok, the owner of this place contacted me via email (creepy by the way) and said that she "hates" bad reviews and would like me to come back and give it another shot. Well I did, and I was completely in shock to find that I had yet another awful experience! (Insert sarcasm here) who would have thought that after all these bad reviews that the place would still be a mess. She mentioned how nice the new patio was so me and the wife decided to check it out since we live in walking distance, long story short, we couldn't enjoy the patio with out some obscenely over intoxicated thugs yelling in our faces every other minute, we had to listen to some "colorful" African American ladies trash talk these "white girls". And just before leaving we had the joyous situation with a local thug and his "homies" sexually harass my wife. I am unfounded as to how or why the neighborhood hasn't marched to city hall with pitch forks demand this place shut down. Nuisance pure and simple. Oh, the patio is really nice though!! Although it is on a very busy intersection so your food is accompanied by diesel fumes. read more

Against my judgment I was drug here unwillingly. I've seen the characters outside as I drive by daily. I've seen the undesirables on the patio (which is located on the corner of a very busy intersection) acting obsured. As I anticipated I was treated like fresh parolled convict as I entered by security, and I was treated as a "outsider" as I entered by patrons and staff. As far as the good portion of the night, the bar was actually very nice. The owner you can tell is making plenty of money there because he's spared no expense in fresh remodeling. It's quite apparent that the thugs in there are buying plenty of ciroc, patron, and Hennessy. The new patio addition is very very nice also, but you can't enjoy conversation or sports due to the fact that its located on a insanely busy intersection. read more

I find it very funny that I come on here to share last nights experience here at "the pit" and Sam w had just made a post this very same day! Look, I live minutes away. I am not intimidated or scared to enter any place including this one, but the patrons sure to try hard to make that impression on me, and the staff is too busy getting there friends wasted. The door guy spends more time trying to pick up ladies than he does controlling the customers that are in desperate need of removal. Dangerous, annoying, childish nonsense. Get a grip people. My mom told me that the coach bingo was way over priced and that the bingo callers husband won a purse and that the bar tender won 2 purses and they were not even suppose to play? They had a wallet raffle and it was 2 dollars a little ticket way over priced will never go back was super packed and she reserved 4 seats someone stole 3 of her seats and had to ask one of the people who stole it for the seat back? Horrible bingo never go to the coach bingo at least they only had 8 purse prizes at that! And 3 men at the bar won purses to and one of them gavea random girl the purse they won? read more

I think it's absolutely ridiculous & unprofessional how the owner of the bar gets wasted & stays at the bar drinking for 12 plus hours & making out with different men. That's not how a business, a respectable business, is run. I've seen enough of the owner's naked body then I can handle. I have spoke with many of the regulars and they agree with me on the pda & amount of skin they see daily. I, as will many patrons, will be taking my business to the St.Paul saloon where we don't have to see the owner, an old lady, making out & don't have to see anymore of her naked body! Racist dress code that they pick and choose whether they'll enforce. It's disgusting and sad that they get away with it. Dirty place, mediocre food. After reading reviews and comments, it also appears that the management makes excuses and "explains" things to costumers instead of apologizing and/or fixing the issues. Very sad, and not a great way to run a business. read more

We had the signature burger with fries and a side of ranch, and the chicken and ribs with a salad. On our first visit, we were seated promptly. However, just 3 days later, we had an entirely different experience. We stood at the door for easily 10 minutes before being seated. The waitress forgot to bring the ranch dressing we asked for when we ordered. The fries were cold-ish and stale; the burger didn't taste seasoned. The side salad had a rotten slice of cucumber and we only got 1 side of dressing when we got 2 sides of dressing previously. The salad wasn't large enough to share this time. The pieces of chicken were smaller and although the ribs were still good, this time we had to ask for wet wipes (we were given 2 instead of 3 like last time) and a plate for the rib bones. It was pretty disappointing... if our first experience at Beartown had been like our second visit, we wouldn't have gone back.
