The space itself is massive and well laid out, making it ideal for groups while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Even better, it is kid friendly, which makes it a great option when you want a brewery vibe without excluding the whole family. The drink program really shines here. The beer lineup was solid across the board, with styles for just about everyone. What surprised us most was the cocktail menu. They were running seasonal Christmas renditions, including an Old Fashioned that was festive without being gimmicky and genuinely excellent. It is refreshing to find a brewery that takes cocktails seriously. Food came out quickly and was better than expected. Everything we tried was tasty, but their take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak stood out and is absolutely worth ordering. Though a slight miss for the buffalo chicken cheeseteak, as it was dry and under seasoned. Overall, Workhorse is a great place to spend an afternoon. Dry laid back and it was a private party area with a separate air conditioned and modern bathroom. They offered a pool option for an additional hour if we wanted it. The pool looked good and wish I did it. My friend ended up doing the pool and it was a completely tailored to her liking so I think they work with you. She had a certified lifeguard who really did watch the pool closely. And helped with tubes and swimmies and things. Highly recommend. They have been in business 52 years and it shows.

The fundraiser was very organized as the firefighters directed you where to go as it was a drive up fundraiser. They had two lines of cars that eventually converged. It was really crowded when we went to pick up our donuts (the pickup started at 8 am and I think we got in line at 8:30 am, when it was our turn it was about 8:50 am). These donuts were absolutely delicious. The donuts look small in the photo, but they are bigger in person (photo was taken with the wide lense). Next time they have this fundraiser again we want to order two dozen as our dozen didn't last through the weekend!

They mentioned they served dinner in the lobby along with complimentary beer and wine. That night, it was lasagna with breadsticks. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It did seem like my room had been heavily sprayed with air freshener when I arrived. It wasn't unpleasant, but it was strong and I think it would bother someone with allergies. I was also a few rooms down from a laundry room, so that also could have been contributing to the scent. The fitness room was small (like most hotels) but very clean with modern equipment. I was always able to get a treadmill--they have 2--both times I went down.
