We had a simple meal consisting of a Fiesole Burger with Egg and Linguine & Clams. The food was good. Our server was attentive. Our only issue was that there was a regular patron who was very loud and vulgar. We were initially seated at a table near his party and asked to be moved to another table so that we would not be assailed by his foul language.

As we got there very late, almost before closing at 10 PM, I wanted something light. I opted for French Onion Soup and the Harvest Salad. With tax and tip, the bill came to $40! My friend had a full entrée for only $3 more. I would go back again, strictly for that soup. The first version that came out, they forgot the cheese. I don't know how you forget the cheese on onion soup, after all that's the central component, but once they put the cheese on it was absolutely phenomenal! It had a very rich broth and was not salty, as some of them can be. I will repeat that it was outstanding. The salad needed a magnifying glass to find the components aside from arugula. Butternut squash was chopped up ridiculously small, as were the pecans and whatever else was in there. It was basically a plate of arugula. For $18. I keep harping on the price because I can't believe that I had soup and salad for $40! My friend did enjoy her Chicken Francais. It was a large portion and she ate every bite. If I want something light, I will stop in again for that soup. There are many good places in Skippack, so I'm not sure I would come back for another reason.

This might be a long review, so please read to the end. My daughter has a cheer competition today…read morewhich has drawn in teams from all over the nearby area. I live in Arlington and she lives in Chantilly. My wife and I had planned to go up and stay elsewhere as my daughter had elected to go with a friend and her friend's mother. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend with them because she became very ill, yet still needs to compete. I called around to various hotels, but all that was left at the major chains were King beds into which a rollaway bed wasn't permitted due to fire safety concerns. So, I called The Gables and spoke to Cesar, the owner. I explained to him the situation and asked if we'd be able to stay at the hotel past checkout so that my daughter could sleep as long as possible in hopes that she'd feel better. Not only did he allow us to stay as long as necessary, but he put me in contact with his sister, Jeannette, who would be in charge when I arrived. I explained the situation to her and she was waiting at the hotel when we arrived. Immediately she took my daughter up to our room while I brought in the luggage and completed check in with her. She provided a brief tour of the area and showed me where I could find tea, hot water, and other things to make my daughter more comfortable. She also kindly offered a glass of wine since I'd just completed a three hour drive. As we're checking out today, I inquired how late we could stay and both Cesar and Jeannette said not to worry. Cesar even offered that Jeannette had previously worked in healthcare and to let her know if we needed any medicine. To say that they've been accommodating is an understatement. The team here at The Gables is the best service I've experienced in years and I'm only giving 5 stars because I can't give more. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel itself is phenomenal. Thank you so much to Cesar, Jeannette, and the team here - you all really outdid yourselves. We will certainly return!

We started the planning process back in 2018 and because of covid, we had to delay the actual event. Over the last three years, Hasmik stayed in contact and remained flexible with our date given the pandemic. It sounds cliche, but we really could not have asked for a better planning partner who listened to every detail about what we wanted for the big day. We were able to host a tea ceremony before the wedding and Hasmik made sure that it was a separate, but wonderful decorated space. It came out beautifully. We were also able to have our beloved pets, Teddy and Daisy, by our side almost the entire day. We were able to tuck them away in a room when it was dancing party time. Throughout the actual event day, she assured us that she would take care of everything so that we could focus on HAVING FUN. we did just that. Oh by the way, their food was out of this world! I found the Adamstown Inn online, and it was reasonably priced, the photos didn't look like Great Aunt Gertrude's parlor, and every room had an en-suite fireplace (my one stipulation). We stayed 2 nights in the Topaz room at the Amethyst Inn. It was amazing. The Amethyst Inn is a big, old (but beautifully maintained) Victorian home, converted into the Inn. Our room was equal parts Victoriana (joie de vie wallpaper and a very ornate cast iron fireplace) and Country - beautiful antique oak furniture. The queen sized featherbed was luxurious and we slept like babies. The bathroom was updated, immaculate and the jacuzzi was amazing. Breakfast was to die for. Four courses each morning of fantastic, unique home cooked goodness. Everything was so fresh and amazing. Their coffee was great (and endless) as well! The staff was wonderful and warm, but not intrusive. They were incredibly thoughtful. Every day there was a small gift waiting for us on the bed, and when we left they gave us snacks for the road! It snowed overnight the 2nd night, and they even cleaned our car off for us before we woke up. This place is first rate, gourmet, beautifully decorated and it is a wonderful respite away from Philadelphia. We, much like The Terminator, will be back.

With this being a Motel I wasn't expecting much, but after the belligerent and very rude treatment…read morethat I received after trying to speak with the front office representative it has led me to post my honest review. Upon first glance while lights were off, the room seemed decent however, after turning on the lights, I noticed dead bugs on the bed cover, AC unit and even some areas of the floor. After pulling back the decorative sheet with dead bugs, I noticed that there was crumbs and unknown specs on the bed, and then upon pulling back that layer, I noticed some hair and staining. This was accompanied by hair found on the bathroom floor, a dirty fridge door and a mediocre cleaned microwave that was seemingly the least of our worries. This was a day motel stop after a very long night of driving from a trip out of state. After noticing these issues, I walked to the front office only to request new sheets to which the woman had a slight attitude and then told me that there was no bugs in the room without even coming to take a look. I ensured her there was to which she kept being defensive and then gave me keys to another room telling me that I should just take my stuff out of the room and go to another that she had given me the key to to which I complied. After taking the keys, I want to go check out the other room given that our first room wasn't in a favorable state, but I didn't want to just be stuck with a room worse than what we already had. The second room that she had given me key to the bed coverings were significantly cleaner however the room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that I could not stay in the room. I went back to the front office to disclose this and just get some fresh sheets and that's when the woman started stating that she would kick us out of our room that she gave us a "discount" on. Because I went alone to change the sheets, she then started making very distasteful comments saying that because I was the one who directly paid for the room, I shouldn't have a say, and or be picky of the state of the room, she also started getting very loud basically screaming telling me that I'm being difficult and that there's nothing wrong with the room because she's the one who cleans it, but didn't even step foot in the room to look and see what I was talking about, she kept trying to talk over me and kept insisting that because it's 8 AM there's no reason why I should be being this difficult when all I wanted from the start was fresh sheets. I never asked for her to change my room, especially knowing that we're only gonna be here for literally a couple of hours. Not even spending the night and after seeing the state of the room and her disgusting attitude towards me as a person I would not recommend to stay to anyone. I'm not a person who usually leaves reviews, but given such distasteful, dismissive, and very disrespectful treatment I felt this review was very necessary for those looking for a convenient and enjoyable experience because this was anything but that for me.
