Placing someone in an Assisted Living is stressful...especially a parent. The Charlotte seemed to be the perfect place but we have some questions now after a short time. In the last month, the bed linens have not been cleaned, the closet doors haven't been replaced as promised on move-in and it has led to some minor hand cuts. The staff have been asked several times for assistance on these issues. The food seemed very good at first, but several people quit the kitchen staff and the food has suffered. And it seems the staff is always short handed. While to be expected sometimes, it's a problem when it becomes every day. There are some lovely employees that seem to care but they can't do it alone with so many people. Wish we had had some honest input before placing a parent. Are all the Independent/Assisted Living facilities this way? One has to wonder....in meantime - hoping things will change for the better. read more

I took a tour the other day and all I can say is wow! It's so great South Charlotte is finally getting such a great community. I will definitely be moving my parents here, as nothing in the area comes close. They have all inclusive pricing, true all inclusive pricing, not like some of the others that claim they do, but then tack on all of these extra charges. So happy I found The Charlotte. read more
