These are the few, I repeat only a few... Sadly at this facility that I was able to have mutual respect. These people take their work seriously and are here with their hearts and souls! I want to mention them by name. And of course thank them. Firstly, WILL , nurse. Not to mention he works two jobs and up to 80 hours a week! He is the kindest man I have had the pleasure of knowing in this facility! He treated me with utmost respect, he would listen to me every shift he was on here when he brought my medication in to me. When I needed to vent! I've never known such a good listener. And heaven knows I needed one, and he was there for me... Emotionally. He has so much compassion for the other human being. You can see how much he loves what he does in the medical field. He never treats you less than.... As so many many members of the staff here do. Not Will. He also has a wonderful sense of humor, we would both laugh. And at times I had to realize... Hey, I am not his only patient. So I would tell him, enough of me... Now go on to your next person." You will be surely missed when I leave in a few days! And as well ... My few other wonderful people here that took care of me, would be, Anna, another nurse day shift. Also always working overtime! I would joke was her and tell her go find an empty room and sleep here as you seem to never go home Anna! Haha. She is a wonderful person, the biggest heart with such compassion as well. She has had it pretty tough her own self., however, she is always everywhere here and home to help others. She has listened to me so many times. When I had no one, I will miss her immensely. Thank you Anna! Judy, at the front desk, and many other hats that she wears here. When I had no one to help me when I could not get in my wheelchair she would help me hang my newly cleaned clothes in the closet, this may sound small to anyone reading this but Judy, cares so much she would brighten my day just entering the room. At first I only knew her by phone as when I needed an extension and she was the' front desk gal' so kind, when I was frustrated about anything... She would listen as well, mind you, by the way, by this review... You would think I was complaining to everyone or spouting off my frustrations to everyone! Lol. Just a few of these wonderful people. And sporadically through this month that I have had many frustrations, to keep my sanity, yes, I did indeed vent my feelings to a few of the wonderful people on mentioning here! Just a few. Amongst A few other CNAs, namely, Nicole... A wonderful old soul. She has cared for me and had wonderful philosophical conversations! And of course as well with laughter. After all, laughter is the best medicine. The reason we have cliches... Is because they are true! Then there is BJ ... Billie Jean. Another CNA night shift, when she comes in... I am greeted with a little kiss on the cheek. I should preference that by saying the cheek on my face. Lol. I couldn't resist that one. She's all of 4 feet 10" tall, but so much taller in her personality and care! Thank you as well my friend. Monica, another nurse... I would try to remember everyone's name at 70 years old it's a difficult feat! However, I've always learned it's an important thing to one, to remember one's name. I call it etiquette. I managed to do quite well. But poor Monica. One day there was three standing in my room. You see, by my own fault, I have delayed cataract surgery for too many years and I am blinding when eye And when I looked quickly I mentioned two of the other women's names and forgot poor Monica! But these are the folks, the women and men that work so hard 12 hours a day, some fill in when others can't show up, they also have families and perhaps toddlers at home. The groves is a nice place and my father has made the adjustment and now feels very much at home here. The thing that strikes me the most is the entire staff has done everything imaginable to ease my fathers transition into their care as well as our family's transition of placing him into their care. The grounds are behind locked gates, both my wife and I received keys and are free to visit 24/7. This is in sharp contrast to most other homes that have rigid limited hours of visitation. In addition this unlimited access gives us great peace of mind that nothing weird is going on after hours and that our family member is safe and having his needs met. When not providing resident care the staff is always busy cleaning or cooking and always seems to be on the move. The absence of the odor of urine at the front door is a tell tale sign that your loved one is being properly cared for. The floor plans are wide open and large, but still warm and almost cozy in many ways. Institutional residence Vs. jail would be a nice way of saying it. I had my father in independent living for many years and when the time did come that his ability to self care was over and the time was upon us to upgrade the level of intervention and assistance we toured over a dozen places before deciding on the Groves. It's a choice we are happy we made without regrets. The staff has been very helpful, and while all the staff has been exceptional, Jennifer in particular has been fantastic with my father. And Mary sets the standard of great care. I think the greatest fear we have in placing a loved one into a care home is that are we doing the right thing? I think the need to do the right thing over shadows our need for caution out of fear we might do the wrong thing. Both my wife and I are happy we have made the right choice in placing my father at the groves. My father has made it his new home and has adjusted well. We pick him up numerous times a month and go to breakfast, take him to his appointments and after granting them permission, he often leaves in his electric chair to get out and conduct his personal business. While everyone's need are different, our needs have been met and again we are very, if not extremely satisfied with our choice in placement as well as the care and interaction my father receives at the groves. I do wish it was easier to load my wheel chair bound father at the curb, but since the staff and the owners seem compelled to park closest to the building it force me to load him into a vehicle from the gravel areas Vs. at the sidewalk.

They send the woman out and the first day I thought she's great! Over a couple of days she's falling asleep and absolutely, could not wait to put him to bed, she determined he was tired, that's my families job, not hers. I could go on and on. Finally, I was told they would no longer help me. I absolutely could not believe it, I am continuing to struggle finding help. I would not recommend this company.

I was somewhat worried after reading some negative reviews in Yelp, but my experience was a good one. The staff were very cheerful, friendly and helpful, especially Nicole and Mila. Anytime I needed help, medication, or had questions, the staff quickly responded at the push of a button, day or night. The food was varied and generally good and nutritious. The kitchen gave us two options for our entree, and allowed us choices of beverages and dessert. We were given 2 showers weekly, along with plenty of towels and toiletries.The shower was clean and I never saw any cockroaches or other insects. My room was cleaned daily and my bed linens were changed twice a week in contrast. I had therapy in the facility gym twice daily Monday - Saturday. My two main therapists, Andy and Dave, were kind, patient, and helpful. My leg was non-wait-bearing, so they showed me how to use a walker with one leg, and taught me how to use a wheelchair to get around. They also demonstrated some "hacks" for getting around and give me a list of excises I could do on my own. Foothills Rehabilitation Center thoughtfully provided tv headsets on request so my roommate could sleep and not be disturbed by noise from my television. Finally, there is an activities center where residents can meet people, play games, have sing-alongs near the gym. The only down point was that it was quite cold in my room the first few days of my stay. However, I requested extra blanketsand I was fine from then on. All in all, I was extremely pleased with my stay there, and highly recommend the Foothills Rehabilitation Center.
