5 stars earned for being the first liquor and wine store to open in Jefferson County since, oh say,…read morethe civil war. I may be exaggerating, but let's just say this business was well overdue, especially since one may only buy beer at the grocery store. We walked in 30 minutes after they opened, with about ten other jovial people. The staff was still entering in skew codes, so check out was delayed. No one cared. Why? Because it is still quicker than driving several towns away, and it was obvious they wanted to be able to serve the throng of people who had been stopping by all day. They were very kind, and warned us that there could be delays, as soon as we walked in the door. No worries, And welcome to the neighborhood! This shop will be happy to special order in your favorite vino or spirits. I was most supposed to see a decent wine selection, including some choice picks, as well as top shelf liquor I can not find in Morristown. Conveniently located off Highway 92, near the tire and tow shops, it is an easy run from both Dandridge and Jefferson City. Stop in and give these brave pioneers a warm welcome, and a little patience, while they settle in. Shop local, and your tax dollars will stay in this community. Bravo, Volunteer Spirits! Bravo!

I'll tell you what the true measure of a man's spirit is...one that cuts to his very essence. It is his ability to eat a pickle pizza. Yes, a pickle pizza. And yes, "its a big DILL". Get it? You probably don't, and that's ok. Because you wouldn't order this pizza at Patriot Wood Fired Pizza in Jefferson City, TN...but I did....and I ate half of it...because its a LOT of pickles...seriously. My only complaint was that I knew not to ask for the "kids cut" in order to have the pizza cut into sixths. Indeed, when it arrived it was cut it into quarters. A 10" pizza in quarters! That's nearly 20 square inches of pizza per slice! It was hard...I had to eat it with a fork and knife, I admit it...it was too much more me. I ate half. I'm home now, looking in the mirror and wondering whether I really am the man who stares back at me. A pickle pizza is a grim, unfeeling mirror that shows the true nature of a man's soul, the very measure of his character. I admit, I could only handle half of a 10" pickle pizza...and it comes in a 14" size! What lost or fabled generation of heroes could have tackled a 14" pickle pizza I cannot say. Also the garlic knots were pretty good.

Kind front-end service and good pizza but over-priced, plus it seemed like a normal amount of sauce on the pizza and not the extra we paid for. REPLY TO BELOW: If your answer to a customer's dissatisfaction is to disregard that the order was wrong and then essentially say "be happy it's not more expensive"... that sure is an interesting approach. A better reply would be "I'm sorry the pricing was higher than you expected. Be sure to follow us on social media and take advantage of our special offers/discounts in the future. Hope to see you back!"
