She's highly sensitive husky mix. It took a few visits. We got to a weekend, a week and one ten day stay. When the last thing you want to worry about on vacation, on a tight budget, is your dogs well-being ... I trust Nopawblems. She's is a little highly stimulated each time. She prefers home. But she's not upset or frightened. I am secure with my choice. If anything comes up she is in the best hands.

I took one of my young dogs to a session with Joyce for help with his aggressive behaviour. I had sought help previously from a series of recommended trainers and vets. In one session,Joyce provided me more help than all the others combined. One of my very old ( 16+) dogs refused to eat one day. Realizing that this was not normal for him, and knowing his age, and after trying unsuccessfully to reach me, they took him into their home and sat with him. He passed away peacefully in a few hours, in the company of loving humans. After speaking to me, they took him to a local vet and had him cremated and gave me the ashes. It was a hard sad time, and I cannot imagine a better way to end a long life. This is absolutely the best place for a dog to be. The only drawback is that they are so good- and it is not easy to get a space.

We also were very impressed at the limit on the dog numbers found at WAGSVILLE. He outlined the dogs' daily routine for us - they get an excellent amount of outdoors time whatever the weather, just modified when it's snowy or rainy or hot. We will take our dog over for a stay about once a month and then leave him there for our next big trip in November. He's going to love it there. Nice big kennels in a clean, secure, well heated building - and of course , enough space for dogs to run. Senior citizens and small dogs have their own exercise area, safe from larger more boisterous dogs. Easy to get to on Bowen Island, and the island's veterinarian is close by.

I have a miniature schnauzer with a "bit of an attitude" and they always get him perfect with out scratches, cuts or nicks. Also, their prices are competitive but even if they weren't the care and commitment they have for your dog is worth the cost. The only downside is that you need to book 3 to 4 weeks in advance (busier than a Yaletown hairstylist!) but the fact that they love what they do and they love all animals makes them THE grooming place for the North shore pet lover! Check them out UPDATE: Grooming place closed its doors, so now the north shore needs a new place for good dog grooming :(
