The Cash Store is one of the worst employers. The District Manager, and the whole company in Edmonton don't care about their employees, except for the numbers. They didn't even train me, they just scheduled me to work alone and I had to call other stores to walk me through the process. I had one customer get so angry because I had not idea about the store's policy in accepting money orders, I called the district manager and she just told me to enter it under a certain code. The code did not work, so I called the Surrey store and they provided me with a valid code. This pissed the customer off, but I was only trying to help her. She complained to the Head Office about me. Head Office complained about me to the District Manager, and I told her that I didn't get proper training. District Manager said that I must learn everything immediately. But how? The Manager who hired me spent most of their time watching DVD's in the back room and when I asked for help, they'd tell me to call another store.
If you are wondering why the employees are taking long, then it's because this stupid place doesn't train them, they just want the employees to collect your money in any possibly way. I'd recommend all customers to go to the Money Mart, or a Bank, they are loads better in fees and other charges compared to The Cash Store. The cash store charges 60% more in fees. That's a rip-off! Just wait until you get paid, because once your hooked then you'll get crooked. read more
