We've driven by this place countless times without realizing there was such a great spot just quietly tucked away. The space itself is cozy and comfortable, with a relaxed, welcoming feel. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, and the food we ordered was great. They have some of the best buffalo shrimp I've ever had. They were perfectly cooked, with the lightest fried batter, and a perfectly subtle buffalo sauce. They were so good. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked just as good, which makes us eager to try more on a return visit. It is a small space, and on a busy Saturday around 5pm it was quite lively and loud--which isn't negative, but more of an observation. There was no music playing and the TVs didn't have volume, so the room noise carried quite a bit. At times it was difficult to hear conversation even sitting right next to each other. That said, unfortunately, during our visit, some of the dialogue from nearby regulars was disappointing, very rude, and imo racist. It definitely made us uncomfortable, which impacted our experience and led us to leave earlier than planned. I'm hoping this was an outlier for what is otherwise a great neighborhood spot. I'd absolutely consider returning for the food alone, as it was that good--and ideally I'm hoping for a different overall experience next time. read more

As a Buffalo native, I have high standards for my wings - and these are hands down the best wings I've ever had, including Buffalo locations. There's just no comparison and this little pub in Cary has taken my heart, of all places. Turns out, the owner is from Buffalo, which made a lot of sense. First, there is the food: it truly way beyond what you might consider "pub" food. Today, I had the lunch special: half Club sandwich (given the amount of meat, it would be a full at a lot of places) and Beer Cheese soup. We have been going to the Cary Pub for many years. The food has always been and remains very good. The service is excellent. Amanda and Kim are top notch. The last time we dined at the Pub, it took 45 minutes to get wings and sliders. It was a slow night and there was only 1 other table that ordered food. The cook must be asleep in the kitchen. Someone at the bar went into the kitchen after we ordered and we think that the cook was talking and not cooking. The wings remains the best around but this is the third time that this has happened. I love this place! What a nice find. The food? Just average bar food. However, their pimento cheese app. is to die for, they do a great job. They also have a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu, which is unusual in the market. Otherwise, just your standard hamburgers, sandwiches and salads. One of the things that makes this place stand out is the service. Brooke, who works M-F days, is awesome. Beer selection is average; but damn, they have Fireball so I am good. This is a neighborhood bar where most folks know each other. Just an intimate feel. They also have a couple of video poker type machines towards the rear of the bar. My husband had the bacon burger and it looked pretty good, he said it was just good. Service: The person who helped us was neither nice nor rude, just whatever. This place has the most amazing burgers and fries. I have had their bacon cheeseburger as well as their fried chicken sandwiches on several occasions and can I just say every single time the food is beyond delicious. I typically call in my order first and it can take up to 20 minutes for it to be ready (usually on weekends and because they're busy) but honestly it is well worth the wait. I've always been helped very quickly after entering the pub and the ladies there can definitely multitask. They can take my order/ see what I need all while pouring someone's drink. They can do all this even while making you feel like you're still their priority and a valued customer which I appreciate. Small space. Smells like old beer. I sat at the bar for a while while the bartender continued chatting with the 4 regulars sitting at the end of the bar. There was a large Michelob sign on the wall so I order a Michelob and was told they don't carry Michelob, they just have the sign. I ended up with a Budweiser. Let me just say that the Coffee Porter from Raleigh Brewing set the stage for the 5 stars. What an incredible beer. I felt like I had to get the Carolina burger because I'm an outatowner... and it was pretty good. The chili and slaw were a nice addition but neither one really stood out because of how prominent the mustard was. Ordered the burger medium and it was cooked very medium well, starting to wonder if I should order burgers medium rare to get them medium. Added sweet potato fries and those were good. I also had a half order of sweet and spicy wings. It was nice that they even offered half orders. I asked the bartender if the regulars usually order them extra crispy and she told me that most do, so I did. Nothing too special about the sauce, other than it being a nice and sticky combination of sweet and spicy! So what stood out was the beer, the mustard, and option for half orders of wings. This spot is definitely filled with regulars. I have been here numerous times as it's a close by watering hole when I want to grab a few beers or drinks but not be too far from home. It seems as if a lot of people come here for happy hour after work too, though I've only gone for late night drinks. They also serve snacks late night which is nice when you've had a long day/night of drinking. They don't always have the quickest service since I've only ever seen 2 bartenders at one time but they're always super friendly. They also have drink/shot specials on wknds which is great! It's a very tiny venue so don't plan to go in a large group or you will not enjoy yourself (unless you get there way early and grab several tables). So as long as you're not looking for anything fancy, it's great to stop by for a beer/drink or 2 with a friend and be in and out when you're in the area. read more

My friends dragged me out to Cary Pub last weekend. We had been headed to another restaurant in Cary, but the wait was over 40 minutes so we jumped ship and walked right in and sat down at the Cary Pub. It's like one of the best kept secrets in Cary. I have been in that shopping center dozens of times and have never noticed it before, but I will definitely be back! The food really hit the spot. Everyone shared so I got to taste quite a few of their food items and I must say the fries with honey mustard sauce are a MUST! The sweet potato fries and tots were also up there as was the chicken tenders, chili burger, and patti melt. The atmosphere was american pub style and I have been told that they have pool tables in the back. I wish they had one or two more food options, but I will definitely be back again soon. read more

This is the worst "pub" I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. First and foremost the staff was RUDE! Maybe if I had sent the bimbo bartender a text I wouldnt have had to struggle for maybe 10 minutes to get her attention for a simple drink. Which apparently annoyed her greatly considering the eye roll and attitude. I ordered a jack and coke. Wheres the jack?
