They were professional in the setup and service throughout the night and had drinks flowing quickly for our guests. We purchased the alcohol ourselves for the event and Kevin did a great job in understanding our drink preferences and providing a shopping list for drinks, mixers, garnishes and ice for the event (we had 140+ people). The bartenders also were judicious about not opening bottles of alcohol throughout the night that were not needed, making returning unopened alcohol and wine the next day easy to save us money on our drink budget. We had an overall great experience with the bartenders and would recommend them for your next event.

Recommend you clarify how and when remainder of tip jar will be paid. We hired PR bartending at recommendation of our venue and reading positive reviews for a wedding in October of 2023. Interacted directly with Kevin in the wedding planning phase who was pleasant and helpful. Kevin allowed us to modify services offered, determine what would align with our projected budget, promptly provided us updated quotes, and provided a purchase order. Overall very easy to work with in planning phase. There was one small pre-wedding issue in which PR Bartending changed addresses and did not notify us, resulting in our final check payment to be delivered to the prior address. We only learned of the address change when Kevin reached out regarding the missing payment, but he did NOT charge us a late fee. On the day of the wedding, all bar related items were organized/set up as per our contract and discussions. During our cocktail hour our guests notified me that bartending was not serving draft beer. Our day of coordinator was not notified of this problem (as if standard for vendors). Our contract with PR bartending did specifically state that WE were responsible for ensuring the setup and proper function of the kegerator. I identified myself to Kevin and attempted to work to identify the problem. Kevin, seemingly frustrated did not provide a clear answer as to if the kegerator was working properly and what the specific problem was as to why beer was not being served. I assigned two individuals familiar with kegs/draft lines/carbonation systems to troubleshoot the issue, they were able to remedy the problem (CO2 regulator needed adjustment) but it took them considerable time as Kevin was reluctant to physically move and let the in the space near the kegerator. While this was during a busy point in cocktail hour and the space was small, clear communication and a degree of flexibility from PR Bartending would have allowed quicker resolution. Later on that evening approximately 1 hour prior to the pre-determined conclusion of bartending service I went up the bar to obtain a drink for myself and my bride. Kevin recognized me and before I could ask for a drink immediately stated "I'm x amount short" and asked how I was going to pay the remainder of the balance of the tip jar (as per contract). I left the bar area to find my checkbook to write the remaining balance but was intercepted by several guests. When I returned, 30 minutes later a family member informed me that he covered the remaining balance as a wedding gift as the bartending was asking for the bride or groom to rectify the balance on the tip jar. Other than the terse interactions, our guests reported good service and well-made drinks. I was pleased to hear that our guests had better interactions than we did however, I would expect more cordial interactions from a wedding vendor with the bride and/or groom.

Their team showed up on time, knew exactly what to do at all times (they had written up a "gameplan" beforehand) and executed everything flawlessly throughout the day. Our wedding had a lot of moving pieces, and we couldn't have possibly pulled it off without them. On top of that, every member of the Strange Events team was friend, courteous, and a breeze to work with. We are forever grateful!

I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but it was a disaster. She had no idea what she was doing, was nowhere to be found most of the time and when she was she was on her phone. She was not assertive nor organized. She even asked if I wanted to walk down the aisle...what? We also used Strange Events for bar tending and were reassured they knew what exactly to do for everything we wanted when in fact they did not. They used glass and plastic together-when plastic was supposed to be rolled out late night-they even told me they ran out of glasses (we found 12 slates of unopened glassware the next day!) I was horrified when I saw a guest with a solo cup! I understand things happen and I have tried to give grace but the fact that no one reached out to me after my email to the owner about my concerns showed the lack of professionalism. I finally received an email over a month and a half later which was so rude, very defensive and blamed me. It took no responsibility as an owner for my perspective (and that of my bridal party) for how the coordinator was- it also failed to mention any of the bartending issues. It was petty, passive aggressive and disrespectful- it said false things such as I was late for the walk through, when in fact the coordinator was late- it made light of "that not every petal will be perfect or every sign will be out" when in fact everything was detailed from my end so they should have been because that is in fact the job of a coordinator. I am appalled by the response, the lack of professionalism and just how rude someone could be towards another person especially in a service industry. Would not recommend to any of my friends getting married in the future.

Gofres are these smaller, sweeter, denser waffles that taste delicious with either a drizzle of caramel OR a drizzle of vanilla icing (like what you get on top of cinnamon rolls). I had gofres every day walking to Parque Marítimo. I haven't had ANYTHING like it since coming back to the States, and that's been over a decade now. Segue... The Marshmallow Cart is just fun. Good, old fashioned, fun. It's good for kids. It's good for drunken twenty-somethings outside of Fore Street bars. It's good for tourists. It's good for those of us with a sweet tooth who need a fix but don't want to spend a lot of money. And it's good for those of us who like the idea of s'mores, but maybe don't want to purchase all the ingredients to make them ourselves, because... let's face it... there's always half a box of graham crackers leftover (and seriously, what does anyone ever do with those?). It's run by a staff of fun-loving folks. And they've got fire. So, basically, it appeals perfectly to most people's inner child. There's only two things that prevent me from giving The Marshmallow Cart full marks: 1. Marshmallows are typically made with gelatin. Gelatin is typically made from animal by-products (think bones, skin, and tendons). I don't know (but would update this in a heartbeat if I did) if The Marshmallow Cart makes their marshmallow's with gelatin or if they're vegetarian-friendly and use guar gum, agar agar, or pectin. That being said, as a vegetarian, I'm not exactly rushing to get back here for this particular product. 2. THE WAFFLES ARE DELICIOUS. They sooooooo remind me of my Spanish gofres, but... The Marshmallow Cart doesn't have icing for them. I think the only options are marshmallow or nutella. Allow me a Veruca Salt moment, if you will: I WANT ICING. AND I WANT IT NOW. I would come out of my way for this if it was available. Maybe I should just start carrying my own bottle of it around in my purse? The point... if you like marshmallows (and don't have a plant-based diet), s'mores, waffles (sans icing), fire, and smiling... The Marshmallow Cart will not disappoint.
