We hired PR Bartending as our bartender for our wedding at Dexter's Inn in July 2022 and they did a great job. They were professional in the setup and service throughout the night and had drinks flowing quickly for our guests. We purchased the alcohol ourselves for the event and Kevin did a great job in understanding our drink preferences and providing a shopping list for drinks, mixers, garnishes and ice for the event (we had 140+ people). The bartenders also were judicious about not opening bottles of alcohol throughout the night that were not needed, making returning unopened alcohol and wine the next day easy to save us money on our drink budget. Affordable and easy to work initially however, groom and some guests had several unpleasant interactions on wedding day. Recommend you clarify how and when remainder of tip jar will be paid. We hired PR bartending at recommendation of our venue and reading positive reviews for a wedding in October of 2023. Interacted directly with Kevin in the wedding planning phase who was pleasant and helpful. Kevin allowed us to modify services offered, determine what would align with our projected budget, promptly provided us updated quotes, and provided a purchase order. Overall very easy to work with in planning phase. There was one small pre-wedding issue in which PR Bartending changed addresses and did not notify us, resulting in our final check payment to be delivered to the prior address. We only learned of the address change when Kevin reached out regarding the missing payment, but he did NOT charge us a late fee. On the day of the wedding, all bar related items were organized/set up as per our contract and discussions. During our cocktail hour our guests notified me that bartending was not serving draft beer. Our day of coordinator was not notified of this problem (as if standard for vendors). Our contract with PR bartending did specifically state that WE were responsible for ensuring the setup and proper function of the kegerator. I identified myself to Kevin and attempted to work to identify the problem. Kevin, seemingly frustrated did not provide a clear answer as to if the kegerator was working properly and what the specific problem was as to why beer was not being served. I assigned two individuals familiar with kegs/draft lines/carbonation systems to troubleshoot the issue, they were able to remedy the problem (CO2 regulator needed adjustment) but it took them considerable time as Kevin was reluctant to physically move and let the in the space near the kegerator. While this was during a busy point in cocktail hour and the space was small, clear communication and a degree of flexibility from PR Bartending would have allowed quicker resolution. Later on that evening approximately 1 hour prior to the pre-determined conclusion of bartending service I went up the bar to obtain a drink for myself and my bride. Kevin recognized me and before I could ask for a drink immediately stated "I'm x amount short" and asked how I was going to pay the remainder of the balance of the tip jar (as per contract). I left the bar area to find my checkbook to write the remaining balance but was intercepted by several guests. When I returned, 30 minutes later a family member informed me that he covered the remaining balance as a wedding gift as the bartending was asking for the bride or groom to rectify the balance on the tip jar. Other than the terse interactions, our guests reported good service and well-made drinks. I was pleased to hear that our guests had better interactions than we did however, I would expect more cordial interactions from a wedding vendor with the bride and/or groom. read more

We used PR Bartending for our October wedding. We were looking to serve wine we purchased and home brew my father made. We had to sign a really thorough contract, but everything in it was very fair and you can't blame them as that they are taking on a bunch of liability. Although the guests at the wedding said that the bartenders were wonderful, and we had no serious issues during the event, they were not easy to work with leading up to it and I would not recommend a friend to work with PR Bartending. The explanation of our issues with the company are described below: We specifically wanted a bartender with liability insurance and the request of our venue hosts. After a few conversations with Patrice about the type of services we would require, we decided to book PR Bartending. Then they sent us a few liability waivers that did not make any sense. One said that no one could walk on any steps, walkways, or porches, or their liability insurance would be invalid. In what world would guests not need to walk on any steps or sidewalks/walkways?? That was incredibly frustrating to read and have to work through. PR Bartending ended up not requiring that waiver (probably because it was ridiculous). We did sign the waiver that said that if anyone goes in the pool, then their liability insurance is invalid, after some deliberation. The company required that we provide all coolers, purchasing of all beverages, movement of those beverages to the bar area, purchase and movement of ice, water, other supplies like cups, and the purchase and preparation of garnish (lemons and limes) be performed BY THE HOST or else there would be extra charges. They also required 3 hours of set-up time, even though we moved everything to the bar, cut the limes, and provided all of the booze. When the groom asked out of curiosity what the bartenders would be doing for three hours before the wedding, Kevin responded freshly,"What do you think??" We don't know, that's why we're asking. I still don't know what they did for all that time, as I was off site getting ready for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, several people setting up at the venue said that the bartenders seemed flustered and unprepared, but when asked what they needed from the hosts to help, there was no clear answer. They seemed very confused about how to recycle. We had several conversations about how the bride wanted the wedding to be low-waste, so the hosts had purchased re-usable, recyclable plastic cups and wooden stirrers instead of plastic straws. Everything was provided at the bar for the bartenders, but at the start of the wedding the bartenders were handing out drinks with straws. At the end of the wedding, one of the coolers we had provided had disappeared. I contacted the bartenders and they said that they didn't take it. There's no way to tell if they did or someone else did, but their general unprepared nature has lead me to be suspicious (and I hate not to give people the benefit of the doubt). They also sent us a bill a few days before the wedding so that we could settle the balance, and it included a charge for coolers. These people just could not keep anything straight. read more

They provided amounts of alcohol we should buy based on our guest numbers, and provided a list of specialty cocktails they could also create! We hired PR Bartending out of Manchester, NH as service bartenders for our wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine. We purchased all of our own alcohol, ice, garnishes, cups, napkins, etc. They were providing service, liability insurance, set up and breakdown, and bussing. As a bartender myself for several years, an event planner in my wedding party, and a wedding planner we were fairly confident we could assess the amount of alcohol and such needed for an event of 140 people. Very unprofessional group, lots of fighting behind the scenes, which my catering and wedding planner noticed, along with a few wedding guests. Disregard for the wedding planner and went out on their own to buy 80lbs more ice before the wedding, which they charged me $125 for at the end of the night. (500lbs of ice had already been purchased by me for $150). They were drinking behind the bar. They also told a few wedding guests we were out of beers, we had several cases of beer leftover (specifically bud light and coors, which is what was being asked for). You'd think with all the extra ice they charged us for they would have iced down more beers. Then the night cap was when one of their bartenders tried to sneak around the house at the end of the night with an 18 pack of beer and a liter of alcohol, my dad, mom, brother and his fiancée caught him in the act. His response, "you don't need it anymore." Our wedding guests were MORE than generous with tips throughout the night and one of our groomsmen went around doling out $20s to everyone at the end of the night as well. I know our wedding guests had a great time and PR Bartending didn't ruin our day, but I would not recommend them based on their lack of professionalism on site and managements handling of concerns after our event. My mom did attempted to discuss the issues with the owner, Kevin, after our wedding to which he was very rude and abrasive. He did send a "cover my butt" apology email a few days later, however the damage was done. Were they a great value, yes. Worth it, no. read more

Easy to communicate with, by email and phone, we laid detailed plans. Patrice and Kevin thought out every detail- impressing me with their fastidiousness. We contracted with PR Bartending for our early summer wedding and couldn't have imagined a more professional and friendly staff to work with on our special day. Throughout the planning, we worked with Patrice and Kevin and both were very clear and timely in their communications. We were planning the wedding from across the country, but it didn't matter, over email and phone they explained everything we were to expect and worked with us on all the details to make sure things would go smoothly. On the day of, they arrived on time and were very neat during setup. We dropped the ball and forget to get mixers, but Patrice was one step ahead and had brought extras, saving us from some stress on our big day. The bartending staff were on their game throughout the wedding, keeping things very professional with our guests and looking the part too! At the end of the night you wouldn't have even known they were there because of how efficient and clean they were. They even cleaned our coolers and put the extra ice and leftover drinks in them so we could continue celebrating at our after party. We had 2 bartenders, who seemed young and immature. They told our guests to get their own wine glasses off their tables at our wedding. They apparently didn't realize there were 4 large cases of wine glasses near the kitchen. It was a bit of a fiasco at the beginning of our wedding till the mother of bride spoke to 1 of bartenders and even then, the bartender said she couldn't do it yet. The MOB was outraged and insisted on them getting the glasses. It was only beer and wine; not a complicated bar service. Overall, it was simple bartending job which they essentially messed up at our momentous occasion. Think twice before using this service. read more
