For travelers looking for a family friendly, and reasonable price spot, look no further than the Caribbean Resort. You can walk to the beach in a minute from here. Also you are close to Florio's Italian restaurant, which serves all meals, and Ocean Grocers that has the basics. Check in and out were handled fast. Nice staff, and there's a tiki lounge on site also. This is convenient to everything. Only strange things I found, were the door hanging signs for "Do Not Disturb" don't stay on the door due to wind. Also doors pull outwards rather than the traditional push to get in, once you use your room door key. Other than that, and that's small potatoes, is the rest was super. The rooms are quite spacious, and although TV channels are basic, most will be out and about. Thank you for the high pressure showers. Those feel great after hiking or running the adjacent Broadwalk. Love the AC units to offer a brief reprieve from the heat, and also liked the microwave, refrigerator, and oven. Without a doubt this is a older but well taken care of property. Am happy to recommend it, as a excellent bargain, and it's where everything is at. Comfortable beds as well.

This was 1st time my wife and I stayed at this place.....it will be our last time! We arrived at the resort late Thursday night & enjoyed the pool which was right outside our room (#108). The room was nice and came with a fridge & stove. BUT come Friday @ noon time until Monday morning we had no hot water. We had to ask for maid service on Sunday when we received no fresh towels when we put the tag on the door Saturday morning. Also none of the washers worked so we couldn't do laundry. The place has good potential but management wouldn't agree to adjusting our bill SO I put in a charge dispute with our credit card company. FYI I'm being generous with 2 stars which is purely for its potential of being a good resort.

Love this place! Clean. Working on renovations. Updated Kitchenette. 50 yards to the beach Good price. I will stay here again! Two nights before leaving for a cruise. 15 min from the port... Uber ride... perfection!

We had an absolute blast at this resort! We traveled as a family of three - husband, wife and…read moredaughter (8) The resort is located right on the beach unlike others that are across the street or require walking. It's also situated right on the boardwalk so you can easily take a nice walk in the morning, grab a quick scoop of ice cream (like 10 spots to choose from), shop for souvenirs or shirts and grab a quick diner. This made our stay super convenient because everything we needed was there! Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are more fast casual with lots of Italian options. This worked well for our family because 2/3 of us are vegetarian. We did find a really nice upscale restaurant called GG's waterfront and it was only a two block walk from our hotel so not Ubers were needed. This made our trip to be honest. We love high end restaurants with fresh/quality food and this check every box. It's also situated for the most incredible sunset. So make sure you go. As for food the rest of the trip - for breakfast we just grabbed a Sammy from the coffee shop inside the hotel and they had some good options. Breakfast Sammie's, burritos (pre made but they warm them), fruit bowls, yogurt bowls, you name it. Then for lunch we always ate at the pool an really looked forward to it. This friend shrimp was outta this world and it's served with honey mustard which was so yummy. Prolly some of the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten at a pool. The we always got the cedar salad which was refreshing and we all split it. The only thing I wish they had more of was a nice guac - I'm talking with nice additions and super fresh / tasty. Then for diner we ate at the resort two nights - once on the upper desk restaurant overlooking the love music so we could hear it but not be in the action. The weekend nights are a little rowdy for our daughter. We were able to watch some sports on the outdoor tvs, listen to live music, watch the FlowRider and eat. The food was not great to be honest but the ambiance was incredible. Then one night we ate at the steakhouse at the property. Service was weird just felt awkward lol. But the food was good. The deviled eggs were top notch and some of the deserts. For drinks we always grabbed a South Sode gin drink from the coffee shop. If you like gin then it's a must. And at the pool our daughter lived on strawberry daiquiris (virgin) and we drank 1 pina colada (so much sugar) a day and then switched to mojitos (less sugar). We loved all the pool servers but they could prolly double the service at the pool bc people were kind of always waiting. Cabanas - we got a cabanas two of the days and it was incredible. It includes credit towards food and if you get one with a working tv you can watch tv. The NCAA tournaments were on so we got the cabanas two of the days we wanted access to the to each the games. It was also nice to have space and shade to relax. Treat yourself once day and grab one. FlowRider - WTF this was so cool! We're new to this and it was so fun for older kids. Our daughter was (8) did it two days and loved it. The instructors are so kind and helpful to those trying to learn. One of the trainers is in the top ten of all FlowRiders in the US. I did see some adults doing it but with a bad back we didn't want to risk it. The rooms were nice and cozy. We had one king and then ordered a pull away for our daughter. We do wish that they had more rooms with additional beds for the kids. Even the suites didn't include more beds. We prefer two kings, or king and a pull out and last resort would be two queens. I think they could def make the rooms better suitable for families. Construction - this was the only frustrating part to the end of our vacation. The last two days ( during spring break ) they were door construction right by the main pool and it was so loud that one of the days we had to leave the pool. Just seems like a really weird time to do construction The other negative was the main pool didn't have entertainment any of the days we were there (Saturday (night) - Thursday). It would have been nice to have some trivia, live music, or something. Also, for anyone else wondering if Margaritaville is child friendly it certainly is. They have a dedicated pool for kids with a small water slide, waterfall and activities. However, our daughter didn't want to hang out in the "baby pool" so we stayed at the main pool which had older kids and some other smaller kids. I'd say a majority of the people at the main pool were older kids and adults. Overall we would certainly come back to this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay!

Worst customer service experience I have had with a hotel/resort reservation…read more I made an honest mistake when booking my room and realized the issue before my stay. I contacted Margaritaville a full week before the reservation, but they refused to refund the room charge or work with me in any reasonable way. What makes it worse is that they are keeping my money for the room even though there is still time for them to rebook it to another guest. That means they can potentially collect payment from me and then collect again from someone else for the same room. As a customer, that feels completely unfair and shows very poor customer service. I understand that policies exist, but good companies also know how to take care of customers when an honest mistake happens. Based on this experience, I would not recommend booking here. If a company is not willing to work with customers says a lot about their customer service representation. Even worse when you ask for a manager you get hung up on.

We just arrived at The Diplomat Beach Resort and unfortunately, this has not been the experience we…read moreexpected, especially as returning guests. Prior to arrival, we confirmed through Hilton chat that our room would be oceanfront. At check-in, we again confirmed oceanfront, specifically facing east toward the ocean. What we were given is a north-facing room that is clearly not oceanfront. The response from the front desk was a simple "we apologize for the inconvenience," with no meaningful attempt to correct the issue. We understand the property is currently going through a rebranding, and it shows. The communication feels inconsistent, and it would not be surprising if some of the staff are temporary or not fully trained yet. To make matters worse, the shower in our room does not drain properly. SHOCKER We've stayed here before and specifically chose to come back because of that experience, which makes this even more disappointing. At this point, we're hoping the pool and beach experience can turn things around, because right now this stay is falling far below expectations. We're giving it another day, but if things don't improve quickly, this will end up being a very underwhelming return visit. Update: It somehow got worse. We went to dinner at Playa at The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood and sat for about 25 minutes before anyone even took our order. After that, we waited over 50 minutes with no food, no updates, nothing. A manager eventually came over and asked what we were waiting on, only to realize our order had never even been entered by the server. Meanwhile, tables around us that were seated after us had already been served, which is when we realized something was clearly wrong. To their credit, they comped the meal, but the overall response felt indifferent and unbothered. That seems to be the consistent theme here, a lack of urgency, ownership, or care. At this point, this doesn't feel like an isolated issue, it feels like a systemic breakdown in service. Between the room issues and now this experience, it's hard to ignore the direction things seem to be heading. We've stayed here before and had a completely different experience, which makes this even more surprising. If this is the new standard during the rebranding, there are some serious operational gaps that need to be addressed quickly.

We heard about Beachside Village Resort and were lucky enough to secure a 1 bedroom suite. The room was perfect, staff was the best I have ever seen at a resort and they truly thought of every detail here. Everything is super convenient and the location is perfect- walking distance to the main strip. The attention to detail here did not go unnoticed. Kudos to Domenica and her staff! The staff really knows and cares about your stay on a personal level. The wifi worked great here (I was working remote and had no issues). They have free beach chairs and umbrellas, great cabanas with outlets, water and drinks in the lobby, towels, sun protection, bikes, tons of other beach activities, laundry and just anything you could need. We actually decided to extend our trip a couple days because we just did not want to leave. We changed to a 2 bedroom suite and that room was even better! They were so accommodating in extending us last minute. My only complaint which is barely a complaint would have to be the comfort of the pullout couch which we were warned about when booking so it was expected. We made it work but were much more comfortable in our 2 bed suite. Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about this place and I can't recommend it enough. We were so impressed with everything and already can't wait to come back!

We arrived around 9 am after our cruise, and our assigned upgraded room (suite) was not ready. The front desk receptionist, Dominique, was most helpful and gave us 5 star service in looking for a room with a balcony that was available for us. She found one and upgraded us to an ocean front. It was truly the BEST ocean front room we have ever had in Ft Lauderdale and Miami. I would have loved to stay longer just to enjoy the view more. We had a mini-suite, versus the regular suite which would not have had the balcony. Room 1715. Big shower, comfortable sitting chair, large balcony with cushioned chairs and table, Lavazza coffee, ironing board. We were so close, we could hear the ocean waves. Pool was fine. Hot tub. By the pool were cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas, but some of the cushions were flat. A pool attendant said new cushions were on order for next year, so it would be better. A shout-out to the pool attendant who dragged over a different chair with a cushion that had some cushion left in it for me. She was genuinely nice. There was also a separate section of chairs facing a wall closer to the bathroom, so if it was crowded, you would still be able to get a chair but not with a cushion. I liked the fitted towel covers they put over the chairs. It was chilly and windy when we were there, so I asked for an extra chair cover to use as a blanket. Periodically, the attendants came by with chilled water, frozen fruit. The pool-side service was excellent. Different servers may come by asking if you need anything or to pick up your dishes, since they work as a team. The hamburger and fries was delicious ($35). Chicken tenders were pretty good. The alcohol drinks were $20. I liked the non-alcoholic mango daiquiri. ' I highly recommend making reservations at Takata, Japanese restaurant at the hotel. It got packed later and everything was absolutely delicious - one of the best dinners in Ft Lauderdale we have had in over 20 years. It is also open for breakfast. I had the avocado toast which was okay. Down the street in the shopping center is a CVS. We have stayed in a number of Ft Lauderdale hotels over the years for a cruise. The outstanding service from Dominique at the front desk to the pool attendants and servers, the Takata server all were phenomenal. The room was incredible and we appreciated the generous supply of Lavazza coffee and microwave. The pool is extremely small, overcrowded with children, and closes at 6 PM, which honestly makes no sense for a resort-style hotel -- I've never experienced that anywhere else.
