Went for a friend's birthday , they gave us an entire section with the pool table to ourselves, another section had a paint night , the rest of the place was fairly steady . In an hour and a half we got one drink. After eating our appy nachos and waiting for more drinks that never came and not having our dinner order taken , we decided to leave . We were literally all drinking and could not get a second drink ! They could have made a killing off of the five of us but sadly we left and went somewhere else for dinner . A friend and I stopped in for drinks and snacks on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was lively, as there was a fundraiser happening that evening (I like that Brewhouse supports local charities). The daily specials are always good value. We ordered rose sangria, double dill wings and nachos. The food was really tasty and the portions were large. Friend was allowed her own decor and music but every 20minutes staff came in to tell us the music was too loud. Understandably as someone else was hosting a paint night in the main area. It was a Sunday night and the place was barely 20% full. Several of us downloaded the app to get free Golden Garlic Fingers - AMAZING. Worth the effort, great portion, great promo. Friend got the Crispy Chicken Sliders and these looked Really good! She really liked them. Another friend got the Veg Out Pizza and liked it - big enough for 2 people really. I got the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich. Very pricey at $23. Bread was very good, soft, colorful. Meat was very lean which was surprising but a good one. Mustard was tart and flavorful. Yam fries were extra but very good and the ancho chipotle sauce was delicious. Overall very good but in my opinion overpriced. I also got to try the honey bumble cake. Not quite the honey cake I was expecting as it was just white cake in cream cheese icing. It was good but at $10/slice it is not something I would get again. Gender-specific bathrooms with stalls. Awful! Went with 2 colleagues for tomahawk steak night on Sat Nov 23, 2024, to celebrate a retirement. Sounded amazing and we bought tickets online a week earlier, we were excited. When we arrived we were promptly given 3 tickets & seated next to the kitchen by the stairs. Asked for 2 steaks medium & one rare. One steak was amazing (although missing garlic bread). The other 2 were raw, not even blue rare & cold. My colleague sent his back right away. I waited until I cut into it and saw how rare (raw) & fatty it was before sending mine back. My colleague's steak came back 10 minutes later and was the same steak just thrown on the grill, I had thought it was against the health code to throw a piece of meat that already been served (Biten into) back on the grill. Anyway, he was still unhappy as now overcooked & fatty. We asked to speak to the manager, and she said they were sold out of the Tomahawk steaks (we were there at 5:15) & best she could do is offer a regular steak (She was very abrupt and not very helpful or apologetic). My colleague was not happy and said he had lost his appetite, a few minutes later she came by and threw a gift card for $50 (tix were $55) on the table & said she "couldn't refund tickets, so here" and walked away. We felt bad for the young woman serving us as she knew we were unhappy but unfortunately she sheepishly rarely returned to see if we needed anything (She seemed embarrassed). My steak came out after another 15 minutes & was very well done. After the experience with the manager, I decided to live with it as I knew nothing would be done. What really annoyed us was that the gift card didn't even cover the price of the ticket & the manager still charged for his 2 beers, 2 of us ate at separate times and one didn't eat at all, we didn't really get an apology. For the most part, we felt like we were a pain for them to serve as we prepaid. If they don't want to do a steak night don't. We are all upset we paid keg prices for McDonald's service. I would be happy to discuss this with the restaurant but seeing how the manager treated us I have little faith in their customer service. I would like to think it was a bad night but somehow feel under the management many are left unhappy. To be clear I am usually pretty easy to please and rarely leave poor reviews. I have asked management to reach out but have yet to hear back. We took our 5-year old daughter to the Canadian Brewhouse in Sherwood Park last night for a special birthday dinner and the service and food were both terrible. We were there for almost an hour and a half - service was extremely slow. Our waitress claimed they were busy, but half of the restaurant was empty. We weren't offered water while we waited and when our food finally came we weren't given cutlery (no forks). My husband asked for ketchup and the waitress said sure but never came back with it. Our little one ordered the grilled cheese (which took nearly 45 minutes to come) and it was burnt. I ordered the Canadian chicken club burger and the bun was soggy (like a wet sponge) around the edges. We brought the soggy bun to our waitresses attention and she said she would take care of it, but she left in on the table and never came back. We saw our waitress speak to the restaurant manager, but he never bothered to come talk to us or take a look at the burned/soggy food we were served. We also watched the manager stand by the bar as drink orders piled up, but he never thought to grab a tray and help his staff get some of the orders out. My husband and I got tired of waiting for the waitress to return and had to seek her out to get our bill. The soggy burger was still on the bill - my husband told her we weren't paying for it, and she took it off the bill, but we still had to pay full price for the burnt grilled cheese. My husband had a burger & fries and my daughter ate part of her burned grilled cheese, and we each had one beer and the bill was over $54. The Brewhouse is overpriced with really poor service and food. Don't waste your time/money at this establishment. read more

Not only does this Brewhouse have the best service and great vibe, I also want to point out the top tier carrots. Garnish? Veggies and dip? It doesn't matter. They pull out all the stops with these thick, hard, crunchy carrot sticks. Clearly chopped from premium solid stock. Went here with the kiddos to enjoy the patio. The patio is quite nice if you can ignore the parking lot around it. Menu is basic pub food. Our service was spotty not sure if this because of COVID or because it was spotty. My husband ordered the basic burger and fries, I ordered the tuna poke bowl, my kiddo ordered the Dorito pizza. My youngest had a side of fries and we ordered deep fried pickles. Food came out slow which was odd because it wasn't near full. I have to say my poke bowl was okay but nothing spectacular, same with my husband's burger. I was confused by the amount of lettuce in the poke bowl...however the dressing was flavourful but I don't think I would order this again. However the dill pickle spears are delicious and my kid's pizza was actually really tasty. Would I run here? I'm a huge cactus cut fan and these were only alight- they need to be seasoned! The dill dip is also very good but not enough is provided with the chips. Good job on the sweet potato fries those were well done and seasoned good. We came for wing Wednesday - wings were alright. The mango chipotle was the best. One friend had the pork shanks- Quality was good but amount was a little lacking. But dang it was busy and the longest wait was for the bill and then the machine at the end of the meal. I LOVE the CBH Ellerslie location! My husband & I, come every Friday night, for "date night". We've gotten to know all the servers & the entire staff, has become like a 2nd family. Gord & his staff, are simply amazing! The customer service is always outstanding. I see the other servers, helping each other out all the time. Pat is super friendly & personable. I can really tell the management team, runs things super smooth. The servers respect each other and management too. The food is great, we've never had a bad meal! Such a bad experience here! I walked in with a group of 7 other people. The waitress took everyone's drink order except for mine. Soup was so salty..and I like salt but this was ridiculously salty.... couldn't finish it. Mentioned it to waitress and she offered me to return it and get their other soup. I came here to try out a new burger this place was offering for the national Burger Week competition. It was called the Taco Burger, and it definitely did Not disappoint. The burger itself had a type of smokiness to it that gave it an awesome crunch thanks to the toasted brioche buns it came in. Plus there was just the right balance of guacamole and Doritos sprinkled on top of it that made every bite a pleasure to consume really. The Dessert Poutine we grabbed afterwards was very nice as well and the service from start to finish was kind and efficient. I couldn't ask for much else from a solid dining experience. I like the brewhouses. They are tacky with sports memorabilia but its fun. We had a large group and they were very accommodating. The upstairs can be booked and is a great place for groups. The only issue is it isnt really well set up for that. We ended up with what seemed like 3 little groups so it was a bit hard to visit. Ive always been pretty apprehensive with ordering from here whenever I wanna get take out, since the Yelp score was pretty low but delivery service score was pretty high. and I can definitely trust that Yelp was right. Unfortunately tonight I found that out.. I had ordered the spinach dip that comes with crostini, tortilla chips, and some salsa. I checked the bag, and I had everything BUT the spinach dip? I was pretty confused and checked the bag almost 3 times to see if it was under anything. Nope. Never got the dip. I could definitely buy the exact same bag of store-bought tortilla chips and buy a baguette for WAY less than $15. I gave the restaurant a call to let them know, and they sent someone over to give me the missing dip. When I did receive it, it was overly sweet and just tasted like alfredo sauce with some artichoke bits thrown into it. Did not taste good. And at this point I was just tired and wanted to go to sleep. I also ordered the honey cake, extremely sweet and definitely not worth $8 for one small slice of cake. Also, when you order an entree you get a free order of perogies. Really really small perogies. I ate 2 and they tasted no different than ones I could get at superstore, just way smaller. Truthfully only ate the bacon bits. I would normally give a 1 star but they were nice enough to send someone over with the dip. Long-weekend Monday afternoon, hit up the Ellerslie location for a nice steak snack with the family. The place was very quiet - 4 tables including us, 9 people total. You'd think this would work in your favour...but no. 30 minutes (!) to get drinks which hit our table as we were getting ready to leave in frustration. The bartender who delivered the drinks was kind enough to take our order as we hadn't seen our server in forever. We ordered 3 meals, two of them identical, no odd-ball requests, no secret-menu stuff - basic steak and eggs. Another half hour ticked by before it finally came but only two meals showed up. One of the steak and eggs was held back because "the eggs weren't quite cooked". A few minutes later and "the manager" delivered the missing meal, apologized for the issue and promised to "take care of it for you". He sure didn't. The bill came at full whack. We paid it. We left. We definitely won't be returning. At no time were we rude or confrontational. We didn't complain at all, which was perhaps the problem. An hour to get a single drink and a basic meal in an empty restaurant. Hey if you don't want to be dealing with customers in the slow period, perhaps do us both a favour and just lock the doors. read more

So we make reservations on Tuesday, get there on Saturday and... turns out there's no prime rib. I got the New York strip instead, which was overcooked and chewy. We moved to Ellerslie area last December and we are very lucky with the bars and restaurants we have close by! One of which is the good aul reliable Brewhouse. I love here for any sport we watched some of the World Cup they showed all games while we had family over so they loved the big loud full on sports bar you don't get them in their little village of Aughrim lol! On Oiler nights it's loud busy and drinks do be a flowing all the things you look for on a Oiler Night win or lose hopefully win you'll always be having fun! They host many charity event and private functions which is good to know they curtain off the area if you want it to be completely private. The staff have always been great friendly, sometimes a little slow on greeting and initial orders but otherwise great! The food is grand usual Brewhouse menu and you get what it says on the tin but it's exactly what you look for in a sports bar easy quick and tasty! Our most resent visit was a Friday night there was a DJ and a small dance floor it was fun to see as I usually just do game evenings. They have a big horn/bell if you ring that bell you have to buy the whole bar the special shot Friday Nights is fireball!!! There was a very rich well know franchises owner in the house he rang the bell TEN TIMES!! To say the bar was on fire is an understatement !! I don't think that's the usual as it was $860 on average a round! Which means there was at least 530 people in the place as it was $2 a shot that is a lot of people on a night of no real sport showcased. Oh yes they do different specials every night!!! Fried Pickles: very good, though would be better with ranch dressing than the served tzatziki. The burger ups: the taste, the components. The burger downs: the maple-leaf shape, while unique, does not allow for appropriate bun coverage and was awkward to hold and have an even bite. The poutine: very tasty... though it had kick! The Kactus Fries: similar to french fries, but they're slices of potato (like the shape of a potato chip) and thinner than a fry. But they're not cooked to crispy like kettle chips. A very interesting (in a good way) take on fries. Their dip has some kick, though! We'll be back, I'm sure... though probably won't go for the burgers. read more
